I've a question.. if your playing ME3 from the start again and do Citadel DLC during the game, when it puts you back after the ending can you do it all over again? :) I want to play it through my regular playthrough but I would also like the choice to finish ME forever on a higher note, chilling with Sheps friends.

No, but you can return to the new hub area at any time during the game.

If you wanted, you could probably save the hub activities for after the game (just return there from the auto-save that's created after you finish the game).

But the mission will be unavailable once completed.

So by looking at these comments, when did you people play tge dlc during the course of ME3? If you would recommend, after playing the dlc for the first time, when would it be the best place to play it?

Also the party aspect of this dlc, can it be organized anytime or is it compulsory to be done after the conspiracy mission?

I played it straight after the Citadel Coup (and Omega). I liked where I decided to slide Citadel in. It was a nice distraction to lighten the tone for a while, before going back to the more serious tone of the main game.

Plus, playing it earlier in the story seems to allow the interactions with the squad (after the DLC's story) to be spread around some more, rather than having access to them all at once. I think this also works out better as it allows the lighter scenes to be spread out over the game, rather than having them all available from the get-go if you were to play Citadel with a late-game save.

It's up to you when to initiate the party. I'm planning to leave it until late-game.

A monster of a DLC, contentwise. Top-notch level design, music excellent, story was....unexpected, great convos. One of Bioware's best DLC to date, massive, massive fan service in all.

Casey Hudson & Co. stroke the shaft & cup the balls with this one, A+.

I'll add my 2 cents in:
- Very funny and enjoyable. Lots of hilarious banter.
- Feels like a massive tonal shift away from the brooding seriousness of the rest of the game
- I played with my level 60 Infil on insanity, and found a couple of the the fights insanely brutal. I think I only won because the enemy AI glitched.
- The plot is fairly ludicrous (moreso than usual)
- But, ah, we got the band back together folks:)

1. I definitely found it worth the price.
2. A couple bugs here and there but nothing major (as far as I know) and it's nowhere near as glitchy as that steaming pile of sh*t Omega
3. Lived up to mine entirely, actually. Maybe even surpassed them.

It's fan-service plain and simple... You'd have to have completely turned your back on these great characters to hate this one.

If I was to play it out in a fresh campaign I would start it after the Citadel Coup and do the main mission then throw the party right before Cerberus HQ for one last send off!

Two things:
1. I dunno why you did it but don't import "Wrex is Dead" use a save-editor if you have to!
2. If you don't have From Ashes you have to at least youtube Javik's scene from this!

Brilliant character interaction and story integration, but the antagonist........ Definitely not the typical Bioware style, meh.

10/10 for Level design and combat
7/10 for the story(the Citadel plot part)
20/10 for the story(the other part) and character interaction

Besides, Javik's most lines are gold!
I should go

What I'm curious about is do I have to wait until after Horizon for Miranda to show up at all or will more interactions with her be opened up by having done Horizon.

Was just great! Story, character interaction, level design, everything your heart desire (well, this doesn't include IT supporters lol).

I would have gladly paid the 1200 MS Points for this, and I feel ALMOST sorry I didn't. And I say almost because I'm 100% sure Bioware will profit from these sales enormously (I mean come on, this DLC is pretty much perfect!).

To sum it up, it's pretty much a must have for every fan who fell in love with the ME universe because of what it is =)

I started it just before Horizon and there were no interactions with Miranda in the DLC until I went to finish Horizon. They unlocked immediately after.

One thing people should know about the DLC is that it is very lighthearted and humorous. The first part of plays very much like a cliche 80's action movie (in a good way), complete with lots of eye-rolling one-liners. The second part is pretty much entirely role-playing and dialogue with your squad members, some of which is very funny in an over-the-top kind of way. I've seen some people disappointed that this doesn't fit the serious themes of ME3, but personally I thought it was a welcomed break from an otherwise dark game.

If you think your suspension of disbelief in the dramatic tension of the game will be broken by a DLC that doesn't take itself seriously, I wouldn't download it. Otherwise, it's pretty awesome!

Citadel is only a "tippy-hrippy", super goofy fan service dlc to me with tons of cheese and many cheap cliches, tropes, cringeworthy one-liners... oh and the story part is horrible and uninspired. The whole thing feels like a cheap excuse for all those juvenile and - in most cases - forced squad banters and remarks. It feels extra out of place (has no real connection to the over arching story) and makes the whole team look like a bunch of adolescents out on a summer vacation. It's more like an exclusive chrismass episode of a TV show.

Story,plot: 3/10
Fan service: 8/10 (I'm in the minority here)
Design: 9/10
Sounds and music: 8/10
Combat: 8/10
Goofiness, B-category stupidity: 1000/10

To me it's: 5/10

Maybe I'm too old, cynical and Central-European for this kind of silly "hollywood" light-heartedness. I like humour but, not goofy, in to the face "vahaha" humour.

Is the Citadel DLC story divided into several missions as the Leviathan or I need to do everything at once as in the Omega

Apartment, casino and other attractions of the Hub are available before the conspiracy plot or just after its completed

And one more thing, there are some new bonus powers for Shep ?

You have to complete the story mission first, which takes 2 to 3 hours.  After that, you are free to roam and hang with your squadmates individually and at your leisure.

It was absolute fantastic, I have never laughed so much from DLC. I thought that the lighthearted nature of the DLC was fantastic and a much needed break from all of the constant "end of everything, trillions dying etc". it expanded upon the personalities of squad mates and made them more than just meat shields with faces. I think GimmeDaGun is thoroughly mistaken about this, I'm British, and that's as cynical as a culture gets and this DLC hit the spot, and the fact that it is massive with loads of stuff to do was great. In my humble opinion I give Citadel 9.9/10, missing out on the 0.1 because there be no Kelly Chambers :'(

WOW - what a DLC! To me its even better then the game itself!

Plot: very well done, some unexpected(yes, really unexpected!) plot twists, whole team fights, a lot of funny dialogs, and the whole mood is excellent!

Combat: this is where this REALLY shines for me. New faction is awesome, and for the first time my lvl 60 adept had some serious troubles:) Battles are much more tactical and tense. And I though Omega's battles were excellent - these are like 100 times better! The final battle - I have lost count how many times I reloaded(playing on Insanity), for the first time ever was very tempted to lower the difficulty but after about 2 hours I succeeded:).

Loved the changes depending on your class, finally some indication that my Shepard is a biotic:)

And that Armax Arena!! What, this is even better then the Multiplayer and the closest thing to PVP(trying to avoid spoilers here - but it was a nice surprise)

Overall, just excellent - giant amount of content, a lot of re playability

Seriously, just buy it.

"Citadel is not just the last expansion for the game but a send-off for the entire trilogy, filled with lore, old faces, in-jokes and cameos. It's a witty and touching goodbye to the series' characters and a love letter to the game's hardcore fans."

Good spoiler-free review on Eurogamer, they gave it a 9.
