This DLC is distilled from pure win, triple filtered with awesomesauce and served with a shot LOLHUMOR.

Really this DLC tops Lair of the Shadowbroker...and I felt that was the gold standard.

Good spoiler-free review on Eurogamer, they gave it a 9.

Just read it as well. 9 out of 10 is extremely good for Eurogamer, who score a bit lower than other sites on average (e.g. if its a 7/10 on Eurogamer, it's a 8/10 on IGN). It has maybe 2 or 3 very minor spoilers, but it's a great read:

Just gonna add:

Citadel DLC does not feel like part of the main ME3 story. It feels a little like a story meant to be completed after the main game, similar to a chapter from some artsy movie (like Pulp Fiction) where the sections of the movie aren't in order.

It is no less enjoyable for this, and it really works well as a bookend to the complete story of Shepard.

This DLC took me 14 hours!

75 minutes of that was a party in which all of your crew members have a last reunion. The perfect end to the trilogy.

I'm sure some would consider that a spoiler, so perhaps edit it out?

But wow, looks like a huge amount of gameplay...:)

Haven't even finished it, because I had to leave for work but...
I usually give a fairly detailed review on DLC's, buit what the heck, who cares about pros and cons, 10/10 from me. Character driven, as I like it, my favorite Bioware DLC yet. And haven't even thrown the party yet.

Great job guys. No.. superb

Story:
A bit cliche in the way it handles things, but seeing the somewhat lighthearted tone of this DLC I'm gonna let it pass. There were a lot of comedy moments in there, which is great, but I do think that the somewhat serious tone of the story suffered under it. I think they missed a few changes to make you truly think.

Gameplay:
Okay, not going to lie, I was very annoyed at the first part where I was forced to use a gun against enemies that were quite challenging. I was out of my element and died a few times (it didn't help I hadn't played my main adept in a long time). I do think that this 'stealth' parts didn't work, but your mileages may vary on that. I do applaud the variations on known enemies in this DLC, all of them tweaked for more challenging gameplay.
The apartment is very nice but I do miss a bit of interactivity (this could be an engine problem, I guess) If I have a hot tub I want to use it! Now it's just looking pretty. But especially the tvs that there all over the place could have had a few shows on it surely.

Conclusion:
It's your party members that shine in this expansion but also Shepard, who actually has some really funny lines this time. I do have to wonder why I couldn't invite poor Conrad to my party.

Citadel DLC is def worth it. Reputable online website Eurogamer has reviewed it:

I didn't bother with Omega but this seems worth it!

Citadel is only a "tippy-hrippy", super goofy fan service dlc to me with tons of cheese and many cheap cliches, tropes, cringeworthy one-liners... oh and the story part is horrible and uninspired. The whole thing feels like a cheap excuse for all those juvenile and - in most cases - forced squad banters and remarks. It feels extra out of place (has no real connection to the over arching story) and makes the whole team look like a bunch of adolescents out on a summer vacation. It's more like an exclusive chrismass episode of a TV show.

Story,plot: 3/10
Fan service: 8/10 (I'm in the minority here)
Design: 9/10
Sounds and music: 8/10
Combat: 8/10
Goofiness, B-category stupidity: 1000/10

To me it's: 5/10

Maybe I'm too old, cynical and Central-European for this kind of silly "hollywood" light-heartedness. I like humour but, not goofy, in to the face "vahaha" humour.

Yes, I'd say you are...

Hurt your feelings or what?  I just wrote my honest opinion. You have a problem with that? So many have spammed these forums with their hatred toward the ME3 plot and the ending for a year, that I think I can have my portion of expression of dislike for something for a change... and I'm not alone with it, only in the minority.  Problem? ;)

The dlc is amazing from a desing, gameplay and features point of view, I even enjoyed some of the character moments (though most of them felt forced to me), but the story is ridiculously bad and gimmicky, so are the silly one-liners and the teenager wibe in there (it is clearly a shout out to the loyal fans and some fan service for those who do not play this game for the over-arching plot and lore, but for the characters mostly and for the romance of course). And to me what sells a dlc, is the plot and how it is presented.

I don't hate this dlc. As you can see it, I gave it a 5, which means "ok, but pointless". If it had a decent to great story to it, then I would be ok with the rest of the stuff, but since the story is awkward and silly, it makes the dlc a meh to me, and the only things that make it memorable to me are those tyersome tropes, references and the out of place wibe and overwhelming amount of cheese. I enjoyed the first two missions of the dlc though... but  a "redacted"... another "redacted"... and that silly "redacted" plot in the middle of the reaper war... wow, it was stupid... Kai Leng I could handle, but this was a bit too much for my taste...

In my opinion is worth the price, it is a must have for fan of the series, has a lot of references and inspiration form other mission in the series a lot of dialogue for everyone and a nice story with good content even after you finish the main missions of the DLC.

It is hard to talk much about the DLC without spoilers because it has a lot of surprises that can be easly ruinied.

Haven't done the last thing yet. But I meet up with one of the crew afterwards and it was hilarious. Only stopping because apparently the rest of the family wants dinner... should have stocked up on provisions for them before starting the dlc. Oh well.

Wonderful dlc, can't wait to replay it with another Shepard.

OK. DLC took me around 5.5 hours and I didn't do everything, I almost completely skipped the combat arena.

The conspiracy part of the story: 10/10

A lot of people cmplain that it is just stupid and unbelievable, I found it hilarious, even the 'stupid' parts and laughed my ass off when I saw the villain. Some twists were predictable, but I am ready to forgive that.

Level-and enemy-design: 12/10

Complex levels have never been the strong part of a ME game, usuallyit's very linear, enemies act not very intelligently and with a high level character and some skill you breath even through insanity. For some battles this was true, but during the initial fights I had to reload often with my lvl 60 infiltrator. I am not some godplayer that plays ME3 MP solo on Platinum, 10 minutes till extraction, but I am sort of decent.

The off-combat level on the citadel reminded me of the first Citadel again, the parts tight together quite organicly.

time with your crew 10/10

title says it all. You get some extra time with your squadmates. That's never bad.

Thanks for the ride, Bioware. I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world. It was the best. And the Citadel was a great way to say goodbye to all the guys we've known and loved for the past six years.

Tip of the hat from me, to you. Bravo.

Finished the DLC. I think I did all the content, but there still might be more hidden somewhere. Anyways, I do consider this the best DLC for Mass Effect ever made. There's hours of content, both in character and gameplay, which makes it worth it alone. It's very much an expansion pack. It even makes Omega even more of a ripoff, since you pay the same price for that one, and yet that one doesn't expand on the main game at all, and exists in a bubble. This one, you can hang out with characters, play mini games, and explore once the main mission is done.

If there's one weakness to this DLC, it's the main story itself. It's a bad joke. Which I guess isn't too surprising since Patrick wrote it (After all, he wrote Mordin and Lord Darius, and a lot of his writing is jokes). A lot of the DLC mission is just goofness happening, to the point that'd I'd call it "Joke over substance". Which is a complete 180 from the depressing war story where I watched a child die, committed acts of genocide, etc. So I don't know how well it's going to hold up when I replay the main game with it now install.

So I wouldn't consider the story better then Shadow Broker. But still, it was a really good time. Very fun and entertaining. And with the amount of content that it adds, it's easily the best DLC bioware has made.

Citadel DLC totally worth its price and delivers a lot of fun. It's overloaded with humor that touches plenty of moments among entire series, for a moment my Shepard has forgot about war and got the relax he needed. I also loved expendables-style mission. It's nice final for series. Shepard's afterlife should look like this.

Citadel is totally worth it; best $15 I've spent in a long, long time. Brought the feels of ME1 back. For some reason, I can't really pinpoint what part of the DLC made me feel this way, but it felt a lot like KOTOR too.

The Citadel DLC was a great way to end the franchise. Its funny, fun, and it has some of best writing. It may be cheesy dialogue, but it is good cheese.

I laughed so hard at one point
"I should go. I SHOULD go. I should GO. *I* should go."
