It plays like a spin-off or filler anime episode in terms of story, full of cheese, humor and fan service but an entertaining one. Gameplay is solid with some good platforming, an optional stealth section and a true boss battle at the end, the best so far in ME3. The weapon you get is fantastic and goes especially well with infiltrator characters, while the lancer is just more fan service (me1 style gun). Level design is top notch even beating the main campaign. LI is fully acknowledged as is your class choice for the first time, including in the cutscenes ( aka a biotic will use its biotics, a tech character will throw out a tech mine and a solider will shoot). Wrex is great to see again, although how he gets involved is VERY anime fller arc-ish without trying to spoil the surprise.

To be honest you get this DLC more for the second half of it and the apartment. Exploring new areas of the citadel is great makes it feel large again.Meeting up with old friends each with their own cutscenes and interactions, Your love interest is fully acknowledged as your love interest from the start, and even heavily effect gameplay, squad makeup and dialogue/cutscenes.

I don't like numbers so on a scale of avoid to OMG TAKE MY MONEY!! It's definately a worth it full price for any true mass effect fan. If your hoping for added depth to the story at large or a change to the ending you will be disappointed in that regard. Just treat as I said, a filler episode.

I really can't wait till I get up to Citadel in my playthrough! I am probably going to be one of the slowest here to get to it too lol having my daughter around through the day means I only get to play a few hours a night. Argh the anticipation!

Now that I've played through the entire DLC (took me long enough), I'll give my last impressions.

+ Long without getting tedious.

+ Great music.

+ Great new weapons and armor.

+ Great humor.

+ The arena is a fun passtime.

+ I like how it's a mix of combat and social encounters.

+ Good bossfight. I like the level this takes place in.

- Storyline was a bit goofy.

- Not all the jokes were great.

- Too much autodialog.

This dlc was totally worth every single point. It included so much laughs, so much amazing surprises as well as such emotional moments; both happy and sad. Bioware couldnt have made a better finish for the story. Wrex-Shepard-Grunt conversation = biggest win

Worth it. Highly stupid, but also highly awesome. A truly fantastic send-off.

This. The DLC has alot of cheezy lines and some bad jokes, but it was so awesome. It really took me away from the RL and the stress.

I was disappointed in the Omega DLC, but the Citadel was beautifully executed redemption for Bioware. The 'reveal' is rather silly, and the 'deception' somewhat predictable in the main story arc of the DLC, but the character dialogue had me cracking up throughout. Really, the humor and character interactions were so good that a bit of cheese didn't bother me in the least. Lots of love from the various Bioware departments for this one, and love for the fans too. A great send-off for the trilogy, so thank you developers!

BSN being positive !?!?

What sorcery is this ?!

Seriously, I haven't bought it yet, but the soundtrack is already making me teary. Can't wait to play Leviathan, Omega and Citadel all at once!

Well Citadel is now my favorite DLC 10/10 though in the party lack of team in swimsuits sitting in hottub 1/10 I would have loved seeing Ashley an Liara in swimsuits sitting in the hottub. :)

By far the best an most distracting DLC to date though I still hate the endings, still love the rest of ME3 plus DLC.

Is it worth the price?
Hell yes. Definitely. Raises the bar substantially and make the rest of the DLC look boring and broken in comparison. Hilarious, in-depth. Lots of interaction with companions. Nods to old jokes, LOTS of floating dialogue about MP (the NPCs represent the MP squaddies on leave!) and a great combat sim bonus to provide something to do once the story is down.

Are there any bugs?
Yes, simply because there always are. However, it is not on an OMEGA level: I only ever noticed one - sometimes Ashley will repeatedly try to use powers without moving. Apparently others have realised she is using Marksman repeatedly since it has no cooldown. Spec'ing out fixed it. I haven't noticed anything else, not even weird graphical hiccups. (I might just be lucky though).

Will it live up to expectations?
Well, spoiler-free: it sure as flying f*** exceeded mine.

Only downside I can think of is that 'mingling' (no thpoilerth) takes a while. Fine the first time, or the second, because it helps with immerssion. On later playthroughs though, you just want to RUSH THROUGH and get to the good bits because the good bits are TOTALLY AWESOME why are we mingling again auugh (but the squad dialogue doing so is great)

Short review - it's bloody good.

Long review - I think it's better than Shadow Broker, even. And it's bloody good.

TL;DR:

The "Story/Mission" segment of the dlc was a major letdown (the enemy, the lame dialogue, didn't like tone, etc)

The post final battle stuff was incredibly excellent. Lots of great moments.

Definitely worth the price of admission. I just wish the main story could have been dark and fit into the plot of the actual game.

I would like to ask those that played the DLC, does Kelly Chambers makes a meaningful (as in more than a single line when you press space on the character) appearance?

If she does I would be needing to complete my unfinished second playthrough.
