In one word, it was epic! What I was expecting was heartwarming scenes showing that this crew was the greatest family and friends that Shepard ever knew (and I got that), but I wasn't expecting it to be freaking hilarious.
It started out a little clumsy (Yeah, I get the shore leave thing), but couldn't it just happen when I came back to the Citadel? Anyway, touring Anderson's apartment was pretty sweet, and reading the little datapads he had lying around was actually kinda fun (and bonus points for Al-Jihlani redemption when she acted like an actual damn reporter and talked about the soldiers.)
The sushi bar mission was fun. I was on casual mode so maybe the pistol was too powerful, but I would have liked the infiltration and quiet sneaking and killing played up a bit. I could still just gun my way through everything. Once I met up with Kaidan, however, it turned a lot better.
The casino mission was different, and that was fantastic. Variety is always the spice of life, and I found varren racing freaking addicting and hilarious. Not to mention whenever I sent my squaddie (Kaidan, in this case) to distract the guards. Ranging from Spectre candidacy to cheating on roulette, it was kinda hard to disable the cameras because it was so goddamn funny I didn't want to stop listening. I want to take Javik next time. That's going to be brilliant.
The Archives...party banter reached an unparalleled hilarious high (I like it when Liara said that usually their missions go bad, but even the ambush right out of the way was pretty fast. And, of course, the whole "Team Prothean" dialogue) I did not see the clone twist coming (although I could pick it out from the hair just before it happened, I didn't expect a Lazarus spare parts clone.) It did make sense though, I wasn't complaining. And then, at the very end, Shepard wondering how he actually sounds when he said "I should go" ME1 perks at their best. Garrus and Tali were my partners there, and they were funny, although, with all of the party talking, I don't think the dialogue will change much. But I'll give it a shot.
Fighting on the Normandy did feel like an ending, and I felt sorry for the clone in the end. I played as a Vanguard, so Shepard fought like Tela Vasir, so another playthrough with an Engineer or something might be great if in fact it's different. I'll reserve judgment on that until I do it. I wanted to kill Brooke in the end, which I consider a victory: The Reapers are easy to hate because they're basically monsters, Brooke is human and has human guile. To make her utterly kill-worthy is great.
The party was hilarious. Super great, funny, and I could not stop laughing. Many, many, many highlights, although Kaidan was a little stiff when the biotics were talking. I haven't done all of the side parts at the Silverside Strip yet, but I did do the Blasto movie.
I'd say my only complaint was that I wanted more. Mordin only showed up with a recording at the end, and that wasn't enough given all I did to save him. I didn't miss Wrex one bit, it never felt like he was supposed to be there and I got a placeholder or guilt trip (a hesistancy I had before purchase after reading the press release). I wanted to see other characters who may not have been squaddies, but were important to Shepard. Kirrahe, Gianna Parasini, maybe even Aria. Maybe I didn't get to them yet, but I'm not confident in that.

disappointed that dr chakwas, ken and gabby werent invited. disappointed but not surprised, considering the refusal to fix the bug where you only get ken and gabbys banter if you romance ashley.
I don't know what platform you're on, but at least for Xbox it has been fixed ages ago.
While the main story part was a little bit silly, I enjoyed it. Best part for me was the part after the whole clone sitsuation. Took me bout 7 hours to complete Citadel so well worth the price. And the scene where you return to Normandy is now my ME3 ending for all my destroy Sheps. I'm just imagining that it happens after breath scene. Perfect sendoff for Shep and team, thank you so much BioWare. But now I want Wrex back for the whole game, damn you

Clone? Meh.
Glitches. Glitches everywhere. Shepard doing 180s for no reason. Invite squadmates only to have Glyph ask what kind of party you want.
Mission was ok, but a bit cliche. The rest was fun.

I wish there was something there for me as well. It's good that so much of the fan feedback went into producing this DLC. But what I don't understand here is why Thane romancers are forced to suffer even more in this DLC? I'm sure you could add an option for Thane, where he would live. Maybe not cured, but with the chance for living longer. What Thane romancers get here is more talk about death and Thane's illness and about meeting across the sea. It's depressing as hell. Instead of more content with living Thane, we get to see a ghost of him. Now, how is this possible that a ghost is more realistic than an option to stop Thane from impaling himself on Kai-Leng's sword?
While most players get a date with their LI's, funny and lovely scenes, there's only more pain and suffering for Thanemancers (the vids with Thane are very sad, we get to hear how much he suffered and also how much he missed Shep). Don't you think that this was too much? I feel like someone who must watch other people laughing and partying while I am not allowed to join them. It's not right.
This DLC brought me only tears and dissapointment. I wish I could buy it and enjoy it along with all other DLC's and the rest of ME3. But I can't. You refused to acknowledge the existence of people who do not believe that Thane had to die in this game. And I think you know how much fans get attached to the romanceable characters. You shouldn't force anyone to suffer their death. It's just cruel.
I loved the ME Trilogy, the characters, everything about it. I'm as much a fan of this game as any Liaramancer, Garrusmancer and others. I think I deserved more than that. This game is unique and the first two parts of it along with some parts of ME3 are the best games I've ever played. I've always dreamt that one day people will be able to travel through space, set up colonies outside Solar System, meet other species. This game is so special to me, because it answers to that dream. It's not reality, but it is something. I think that is the reason I've connected so much to my Shepard. So much that I can't let her witness the death of her lover. That's why I can't let that go and accept Thane's death in this game.
It wouldn't hurt anyone if you only gave us (Thane romancers) that option. But it sure hurts badly to watch all the hope die along with Thane and to watch as others get exactly what they wanted, while I am just told to 'get over it' or 'find another LI' or just 'stop whining'.

I give it a solid 8.5 /10. I would have given it a 9 if it would have had an apartment invite for Ash.
Ok Bioware, let's get another sci-fi, narrative driven game in the works. Going to miss Shepard, Meer, Ash, Brooks, and the whole gang.

Kudos for the work.

All the multiplayer characters talking around the citadel.
Blasto filming.
Traynor beating that asari in the strategy game.
Dancing with Garrus.
Beating Vega's record.
Vega ordering pizza and the volus dude delivering it.
And that "Then I'm going to throw your heads out the airlock" Javik:"Finally!"
Traynor's toothbrush.
Javik having live fire exercises in the middle of the party.
Grunt being the doorman.
Javik's hangover.
And the fact that we could properly kill the antagonists. Clone seeing how her "only friend" abandoned her and then Shepard kiking her off the Normandy's ramp alongside "Get the hell off my ship!". And getting to shoot Brooks in the back. So satisfying to get to personally kill the two douche bags.
Absolutely awesome and 5/5. Hugs and kisses to the whole dev-team (no ******)

The fights were both brutal and laugh out loud funny. Hearing enemies whine about a Krogan or Archangel...even the ones who questioned if they were with the right Shepard..
Shepards humor and ranting when trapped in the barrier(Renegade) , even Samantha's tooth brush, all of it was pure gold.
Also whoever wrote Wrex's dialogue....Please high-five them for me. My wife and I both were laughing so hard.
I'm just sad its over, now.
To quote Zaeed, I would give up everything for one more mission with that ****ty old group.
Edit: Oh and my favorite quote. "Shepard's Still alive."
Clone Shepard: Next one to say that is fired!

But, judging the DLC for what I think it was meant to be- a final farewell, well, you guys nailed it. I romanced Garrus and loved everything the DLC added to that romance. Watching the game with Cortez and Vega, drinking beer with Kaidan, trying (and failing) girl talk with my fellow Space Diva, all awesome.
Then the ending with everyone gathered around the Normandy and Garrus calling Shepard his girl? Oh the tears! And that last shot of Shep jogging to catch up with the crew, I don't know, it just hit me so hard! You could really see how much Shepard loved the ship and the crew.
Oh BioWare. There aren't even words. Thank you. Thank you.

If I may, Chris, I have seen some video footage of the DLC...What if Wrex is not alive? Do Liara and Shepard simply fight in that car park without anyone else and still only have the pistol?
I did a save import with Wrex dead...vega replaces him
very disappointed: I wanted Grunt, Zaeed or a New Krogan like: Wreav or Jorgal Thurkak, Fortack instead i get vega. I don't like vega....he's not K.R.O.G.A.N.

It was completely ridiculous, but I loved every second of it. I don't think I've ever literally LOL'd so much at a videogame. It took me 5-6 hours to explore and complete everything, though I'm sure I still missed some bits.
The only downsides, in my opninion:
- Mission itself felt very short.
- I was a bit disappointed that we went to the super secret Council Archives but didn't find anything super secret. It was pretty frustrating to see those malfunctioning holo's, I tried to find a way to fix them, hoping I'd find something interesting, but alas.
- I couldn't paint the walls in my appartment pink. (that was a joke... mostly...
Best DLC in the trilogy for me. And give whoever wrote the Grunt parts a friendly headbutt. He was absolutely priceless

I was enjoying this DLC up until it came to the time of the party that was just a waste of time for me.
Nothing was added for me. To me it was just a copy and paste job of the Mass Effect 1 DLC Pinnacle Station.
What was the dark secret of the Citadel?
Who or What is Brooks?
Why does Brooks have a BAD English accent?
Isn't it more Cerberus secret?
For me the mission in this DLC was way too short. This mission should have been longer and more to do in it, to me 1200 MS Points and 4 gigabytes is a waste of money and disk space.
IF this was the end of the DLC for Mass Effect 3 then it a disappointing end to a disappointing game, which is a disappointing end to end what was once a greate series,
Still NO NEW ENDING.

Howdy everyone
Hopefully people have started to play the Citadel DLC (PC & PS3 are still on their way at the time I write this) and want to give their opinons, pro or con, about it. Please post your thoughts on the Citadel DLC here.
If you liked it, great. Let people know why you liked it, what was cool, etc. Maybe explain the choices your Shepard made that affected the DLC (like Wrex was dead, romanced Tali, started after Tuchanka mission, etc).
If you didn't like it, I'm sorry you were disappointed. Please let people know why you didn't like it, what let you down, etc. Please don't just post "It sucked" or whatever, please try to explain why you didn't like it.
Obviously SPOILERS below. Read at your own risk.
Thanks.
I'm still working on my Review
but I'm playing the Citadel 2nd time: Renegade, Wrex-dead
First want to say: I'm a VERY HAPPY with the Citadel DLC
but one of the Biggest Disappointments was:
- James Vega replacing Wrex. Total Insult, Vega has not the Quads of a K.R.O.G.A.N. I was hoping to see more Wreav or Zaeed or Grunt to replace Wrex. I (and others) big fan of Zaeed. Big fan of Grunt. Big fan of Wreav (Wreav do have fans) or you could have another Krogan like: Jorgal Thurkak insead ****ing vega......vega sucks in comparison to Krogan
- Was hoping to have Grunt and Zaeed on my squad..........instead I get more ****ing liara. I don't like her. She has ENOUGH content in the Entire ME Franchise

Seeing all your friends from ME series in it was great. Well, those who were alive. Still need to see what changes on it depending on stuff I've done. Wrex was pure awesomeness.
Special mention has to go to the fact that biotic Shepard finally got recognized by the game. That alone was almost worth the price of the DLC.
My Shep had romanced Liara and all the banter between them was great. Next I need to see how the other romance options are handled.
Story was entertaining, but after LotSB I've never trusted any characted who tries to help me so Brooks's betrayal was certain from the moment I saw her. So parts of the story was really predictable. It didn't lessen my enjoyment of the story though.
And then there is the party. That was just perfect.
I am sad that there wont be anymore SP DLC:s for ME3, but this was a really great final DLC. Truly great work Bioware.
Now I'm off to play it through second time.

A good dream makes you happy while you're having it, contains absurdities that don't necessarily make sense, but yet feels "real" enough that it doesn't seem too out of place while it's occurring.
Then you wake up from the dream, and the reality hits you (the ending is still the way it is, this is it for the characters, we won't be getting any more content, etc.).
Well, the dream was nice while I was playing through it. Perfect, really. Thanks for going to all the trouble, Bioware.
