Hello, i'm an ending hater. I think this DLC is one of the best things Bioware ever done. I'll take my time to think about it and then i'll make a more detailed review.

UPD. so i've played through the 2 last mission after the  DLC. I can't belive the same people created this beautiful dlc and this retarded ****ed up ending. Ah **** it. DLC is good guys, great job. more like amazing. Too bad ending screw another good work of yours. So angry again. **** this game.

Thought the clone part was a bit off somehow, didn't really like it at all. Gotta say i loved the rest of the content though, some really hilarious and cool stuff in there :)

This was, by FAR, my favorite DLC of the Mass Effect series! Kudos to Bioware for pulling this one together. Quick breakdown of what I liked and just a few things I disliked below.

LIKED: GETTING TO KNOW THE CHARACTERS
I really enjoyed getting to know the characters better while not having to constantly talk about the Reapers, fighting, etc. Also, just being able to cover practically everyone was impressive.

LIKED: HUMOR

Hilarious! So many things I just laughed out loud at. The toothbrush that saved the day is probably one of my favorites. I also recently saw Joker's recollection of an event with him in an atlas shooting at a bunch of Cerberus (?) troops (I didn't actually see this one in my playthrough, but I had to go to youtube to check it out after everyone was talking about it). Jokes were witty, and nothing felt out of place. Also, seeing people go from mildly buzzed to drunk at the party (and then hung over) was amazing/hilarious/awesome.

LIKED: WREX

What a juggernaut! Had him in my party with Graal Spike Thrower + Omniblade bayonet + health and melee upgrades and he was totally unstoppable! Loved how fearless he was charging into combat with his various taunts/battle cries and constant, often humorous banter with Shepard and the crew.

LIKED: MUSIC

Especially the dance music at the extraction point near the beginning of the game when you meet up with Tali and Wrex. (Not sure if everyone gets Tali... I'm assuming that's tailored to whoever your LI is/was). There wasn't a single piece of music in the entire DLC that I disliked.

LIKED: REFERENCING THE PAST

Piano song of Ilos, calibrations, etc.

DISLIKED: TALI ROMANCE SCENE

The singing was... a little weird (maybe that was the point?), and I didn't necessarily "mind" it (Liz Sroka is not a bad singer by any means), but it would have been nice to have a scene with her without her mask. I know that the resources were elsewhere, but I'm pretty sure most people who have Tali as their LI would have liked at least one scene with her mask off and showing her face (since we already know what she looks like).

DISLIKED: DISCONNECTED WITH ENDING

Yeah, I know... but I have to bring it up. I can understand the "party hard before your last days" mentality you can attribute to Shepard and his crew, but I'm sure many people would agree that this type of DLC would have felt much better if it was post-ending, and it was a "we beat the Reapers" sort of party. There are also many little things that make the DLC feel out of place given the time that it's supposed to be taking place. Staying in the cabin for days on end without any update about Reaper threat/Cerberus? No communications with Anderson? It's almost as if the dev team just really wanted this to be post-ending DLC and just made it that way, and that the only mention of gloom/doom is when the crew has to board the Normandy again to fight the Reapers.

Overall, great DLC! Will definitely be waiting to see what you guys do with the Mass Effect universe from here on out. More Shepard-style Action/RPGs please!

Sounds like this was great. I really want to get it, but have absolutely no interest in playing through ME 3 again (and I'm not just talking the ending)... maybe sometime later, or when it's on sale. Sounds like this was a great way to write off the characters, a shame it wasn't part of some of the "16 different endings" in that sense because it also sounds like it's going to be wildly out of place in some ways to go from that to the Earth mission, etc.

ridiculous good. the series as a whole redefined epic storytelling and character development in video games, and the scene before the return to the ship actually brought tears to my eyes. what made this particularly nice compared to most of the other ME2/ME3 DLCs was all the banter included throughout but particularly the action mission, THIS more than anything else is what puts it easily in the same league as lair of shadowbroker. We appreciate how much extra work this entails but those small details are what make the series special.

it would've been nice for console gamers to get a copy of the picture taken towards the end of the dlc emailed to them or something, at a high resolution, as a memento (would've been happy to pay a small fee for this). little jealous of computer gamers who could screenshot.

awesome!

Edit: just tried the arena combat and really like that as well, much more than the multiplayer.  Providing backstory for the challenges in the form of emails makes them much more interesting/worth playing through.

I liked it. It was a little bit silly at times, and I wasn't too big on the clone plot, but the DLC was very entertaining and worth the money. There's so much humor in this DLC, it made me laugh out loud several times. Loved the Volus with the pizza!
I've only done one playthrough and look forward to going back with my other LI-playthoughs and to try some other options at the party.

Thank you BW!

Frankly, this is the best DLC you guys have made (although Ashley did deserve a proper romance scene :( ).

Leviathan and Omega especially did not deliver enough content and polish to deserve the price tag that they had, but Citadel was built with massive amounts of content, and felt like it was built with effort, love and polish which made it into the only DLC I've played that truly deserved the price tag it had. Not only that, but it may have had a cheesy storyline (made me think of those Stargate cross-over episodes which were fun and sillyness), but in my opinion it turned out to be the best mission in the game and reminded me why I love this series so much.

I just wish you guys would add a few more missions in another DLC or patch for us.

I had always wondered what Anderson's apartment that we saw in Mass Effect Revelations looked like. I never would have guessed Shepard's apartment was going to be that one. Its amazing how large it is.

I have just seen the scene with the Mysterous Figure on the broken tv after you arrive in the casino, and I am absolutely loving it so far.

Brilliant reminiscence. The only real issue i have is that it had to end, and more importantly, that it's not real :'(

Thank you Bioware! Vigil playing on the piano. Grunt passed out in the shower. Zaeed kickin it to Samara. The holograms in the Citadel Archives. The Star Wars spoof scene with Ashley.

And I even like the idea of Clone Shep as the antagonist.

It didn't take itself too seriously, yet still added to the lore of the universe and characters. It was a light hearted send-off for Shepard and Co. Very appropriate and much appreciated.

Short and to the point. Finished my entire game not long ago. I loved the interactions in various places with the crew, past and present.

I hope the concept can be used and integrated into other games. Spending time with the crew like that was...nothing short of amazing.

I think my favorite scene was Samara's visit. She seemed to understand Shepards burden better than anyone else.

In all well worth the price tag.

I'm quite torn on this dlc. I very much enjoyed it. However the atmosphere/story of it I didn't quite care for. No real problems with the clone, but just the ... "oh, we're the normandy crew, legendary and full of ourselves" a real "we're the 'in' clique". I just didn't care for that aspect.

However, I absolutely loved, and I cannot stress this enough, I absolutely loved Wrex. His dialogue, his combat performance, his tux, his dance moves.. it really gave me a chance to reconnect with my bro from ME1. An experience I've missed sorely and still go back to even today.

And this is why I really enjoyed this dlc. It gave me a chance to reconnect with all my characters and see their personalities, not just Wrex, but most importantly Wrex :P

Would I recommend this dlc? That's a tough one. Does it add anything essential, or tie anything up, offer better explanation/clarification on any events in the MEU? Don't think so. Do you miss your ME2 crew, and did you play ME1 and save Wrex? You may wish to pick this up.

Still.. I was disappointed with how nonchalant my crew were while in combat/action. But it's slightly forgivable. I just wish this dlc were not so.. "campy".

I still think ME1 is the best of the series. ME3 is about as good as ME2, if not better. Both were found lacking in comparison.. but again.

If I had to describe this dlc I would say disappointingly campy, however enjoyable. So I'm torn. But I did have fun with it. So.. what more do I need? Not campy!!

When I calm down, I will attempt to write a more reasonable evaluation of my thoughts on this.

As it is, all I can say is this.

I didn't think it was possible for me to hate anything in the trilogy more than I hated Kai Leng on Thessia.

But I was wrong.

I dislike the storyline, but I'll get to that later.

It is the final-kill-Brooks-six-times-in-the-same-fight-but-she-never-stays-down boss fight  that fills my gamer girl heart with rage and contempt.

I thought I would never hate a section of the trilogy as much as I hate Kai Leng on Thessia.

Now I think I will never hate another section of gaming as much as I hate the Battle of the Normandy.

It is that preposterous.

Still working through my thoughts as a whole on this, but I will add this one last bit.

The moments of fan service and extra time we get to spend with our team are absolutely glorious. I cannot be happier with BioWare for giving me those last moments.

My feelings on the main storyline for CITADEL remain as they were, but my thoughts on the DLC are not as harsh as my initial comments. Those are directed solely toward the main storyline.

Probably the best DLC I've ever played. Havent finished it yet since I need to get some sleep, but from the parts I've seen, Bioware you freaking killed it. I very nearly **** my pants laughing at Traynor's toothbrush scene.
And DAT wearable Phantom armor... seriously who ever came up with that should be promoted instantly.

Fantastic DLC. I was quite sceptical beforehand. Fifteen bucks for a mission and a nearly useless appartment? Do you designers even try anymore? I was completely proven wrong of course. I think the best quality of this DLC is that it focuses equally on the two most important things to the franchise: action and party interaction. There was enough action in previous DLC, but party interaction was almost non-existent. I know, it's almost impossible or at least very difficult to drum up the entire cast of voice actors every time you produce DLC, but when it's possible, it makes the DLC so much better. Citadel proves that.

The action sequences were great. The overall story still didn't have much connection to the main story line, but both bad guys are written well enough to keep things interesting. Level design was solid with a surprising amount of lore available especially during the Archives mission with those holograms scattered around between battle segments. That kept things from becoming boring corridor after corridor of gun fights.

A special mention for the final boss fight with CloneShep and Brooks. For me, it was just as good or even better as the fight against Vasir from LotSB. It was challenging and the fact that CloneShep uses your own tactics against you instead of acting like every other enemy in the game made the fight special. The fact that she heals herself and revives Brooks with medi-gel was a nice touch, making CloneShep feel even more as your direct counterpart.

The extra romance content is greatly appreciated, or at least the extra content focused on Traynor (as I haven't seen the other romance options yet). I was glad to see that I could finally go on a date with your Comm Specialist, for example, and that your relationship with her gets acknowledged by or in front of the other characters. It always felt to me like her romance wasn't completely part of the game in vanilla ME3 because she didn't interact with other characters than Shepard, EDI and Allers. The DLC fixes that very nicely. The other scenes with Traynor were golden too, and gave her character some much needed extra depth.

And then there's of course the hilarious lines. What makes it great is that every character has their own funny moments. It's not just Joker, Garrus and Javik for example, but also EDI, Traynor, Cortez and 'forgotten' characters like Miranda, Jack, Grunt and everyone else from ME2 that had their own moments of hilarity. It was cheesy from time to time, but it worked.

So all in all this is DLC is very good, entertaining from beginning to end. It's a shame it's the last DLC for the trilogy ever, but at least it went out with a bang.

Well Bioware, the moment I'd seen the Clone for the first time I thought "Oh No, not a Clone," but then... kudos to you! You handled the Storyline well, with so much Irony and comedy, and still manage to put a philosophical question in it.

The Combat is good, I laughed out loud and had Goosebumps more than once. (The Hamster dialog was hilarious, and I LOVE the BG2 reverence.)

And there was so much more...

Long story short: Great DLC. Thank You!

It was so great! So much focus on the characters. I loved it the whole way through and getting to be around everyone again after so long has made me remember why I came to love Mass Effect in the first place. It's also wildly entertaining seeing the characters interact with each other in a more relaxed environment like this. You did good son, you did good.

I seriously don't understand the hate. It all about character relationships and they can't fight constantly they need breather occasionally. It's fun, entertaining and the dialogue is the best in the trilogy. Have finished mission and wandering around finding all the Easter eggs now, greatly enjoyable.

THIS!!! I'm pretty sure the majority of the hate is coming from people still upset about the ending. I personally don't understand it either. They hate everything simply because they didn't like the ending. Their hate is unfounded and they can come up with no good reason to dislike something other than "it wasn't what they wanted".

This was easily one of the best pieces of DLC for Mass Effect series. The interesting story and the thorough fan service was greatly appreciated Bioware. Almost makes me sad Shepard's story has to end, but this was a great way to end it. Looking forward to the next Mass Effect game in the franchise.

Evidently, neither of you appreciate nor understand what war is. There are no "breaks." You are constantly fighting. It is a brutal and exhausting hardship, but the alternatives are often far less appealing. Either you persevere or you die. To say Shepard "needs a breather occasionally" completely belies the themes ME3 attempted to demonstrate. She is tasks with finding a means to prevent galactic-wide genocide. People are dying by the millions - whole planets have become smoldering ruins. And Shepard needs a break? Suck it up, princess.

You, for sure, never served in the military.

Simple; This is the best DLC released since Lair of the Shadow Broker. My opinion, but there it is. Phenomenal send off BioWare; please keep the excellent work up
