Or maybe people just disagree with you on what constitutes "quality."

Very well written, great dialogue and I won me as plushie Volus. Only bad point I can't actually buy a plushie Volus in real life :(

This is my last post on BSN. I loved the saga for years, I support the indoctrination theory, and my Shepard is waking up in London with the reapers out there, leaving me in a cliffhanger nightmare I can never wake up from, this is my punishment for trusting Bioware writers and getting engaged in this story.

Citadel DLC is a stinky cheesy TV episode of normady : high school days, an obvious post ending victory DLC shoved up in the middle of the game with one liners and references that took that side of me that admired the sophistication and touch Bioware was known about in their stories and broke it down to dust. Im talking now to any of the genius and fabulous writers from ME1 and ME2, the ones that built this beautiful world : Why you let this happen, why you let them kill mass effect with non-sense. Was it arrogance ? so unfortunate.

In this DLC they took my beloved comander shepard and turned her into a partying ******, who doesnt care about the ongoing reaper war or the reapers, a shamelest fanservice fest with Shepard and crew taking part on a script more worthy of charlies angels. Talking about an impostor shepard.

Time to leave ME behind, the awkening never arrived, the nonsense prevails, and Bioware have new "improved" fans with less demanding quality.

Good luck bioware, you are going to need it.

Farewell.
May you find quality wherever you go.

Ok... the Arena is awesome! Thanks for that!

Still... quite disappointed for the whole "Shadow the Shepardhog" thing

A clone.

This is what will keep me from buying the DLC.

This is only my personal preference...as I just hate the idea of an evil clone in any media franchise...be it comics, mass effect, etc...

My "canon" Mass Effect universe will never have a Shepard clone. There will always only be one Shepard.

Don't get me wrong...the rest of the DLC seems great. More interaction with the characters you know is always a plus. If it was any other villain...no matter how ridiculous the plot...then I would be all over it. However, I simply cannot have an evil clone of Shepard in my Mass Effect universe...no matter how great the other content is.

I'm not mad nor upset...because I know some people will love the idea...and Ioved Mass Effect 3 without any of the DLC (except for the EC)...but I figured I would give my feedback nonetheless.

I did not play it. Yet. :). But i most certainly will, because from livestream of story part of DLC that i saw it is looks like a good one.
Story is ok,nothing special but it is full of lore bits, Wrex, squad banter, Wrex, jokes and...Wait,did i mention Wrex?
Combat looks nice and not too easy - though it is hard to say from someone else livestreaming.

Only complain i have after not playing it ;) - is that it looks too comics-like and really cheesy but personally this is not deal breaker.
Since i assume that post-story squad interactions part of that DLC and arena can only add value to it - it looks like very good DLC. Whether it is better then LotSB or not - can't say until actual playthrough.

If I may, Chris, I have seen some video footage of the DLC...What if Wrex is not alive? Do Liara and Shepard simply fight in that car park without anyone else and still only have the pistol?

I seriously don't understand the hate. It all about character relationships and they can't fight constantly they need breather occasionally. It's fun, entertaining and the dialogue is the best in the trilogy. Have finished mission and wandering around finding all the Easter eggs now, greatly enjoyable.

I watched it and couldn’t be less impressed. Less high science fiction than middling soap opera. Truly rubbish!

Just finished watching a livestream of the entire DLC. The squad, as always, are exceptionally well-written. Fantastically so, but this is no real surprise to anyone. A little too much circle-jerking and everyone patting eachother on the back for my liking, as other posters have already mentioned it's really, REALLY cheesy, but it's excusable.

The main plot is complete tripe, and it's kind of clear it's aimed at people having a random, light-hearted adventure with their squad. As someone above also said, it probably would have blown contented fans away as a post-ending romp through the mass effect universe.

Not a single shred of worthwhile interaction with those skyscraper size baddies the series was about at one time though, the R...R-somethings? The big robot-squid-y things that play second fiddle to Cerberus and the glow in the dark toddler?

The overall impression? It still gives the feeling that the Mass Effect universe is this rich, vibrant world - but one you guys have no clue where to go with anymore. As if people are aware they've written themselves into a complete corner by standing their ground, fingers-in-ears going "La La La" about just how much the ending and their handling of it ****ed things; so the best thing to do is just spin out a few stand-alone tv episode style DLCs until the next game allows for a reboot.

Exactly this, except I'm giving Bioware just ONE remaining chance to show us what's really up.

Because if not, they actually ruined Shepard's character with this DLC. I got a friggin apartment and gambled while Thessia burns. I'm astonished.

Enjoyed the banter between squad-mates and the history lessons of the Mass Effect Universe. Not exactly what I was expecting, but at least I was able to have Wrex back on the squad.

Just don't get the DLC...and then it never happened.

I never played Arrival...so my Shepard never participated in those events.

I'm not going to get this DLC...so my Mass Effect universe never had a Shepard clone.

You don't have to force DLC onto yourself if you don't like it.

No final fight with Harbinger, no Tali's face, no further ending explanation or adjustments that STILL make no sense (save for the IT theory) and complete random, insert-in-the-middle DLC that does nothing for me since I know how the game ends.

And finally, a clone. lol, really?

No thanks.

The good:

Shhhhhkktttt... double pepperoni...
Team Mako vs. Team Hammerhead
The consort returns
more team talking. Me love more talking.
TAKING THE WHOLE TEAM! Finally!
Edit addition: Glyph, attack their morale!

meh
combat is a little tiresome - its Cerberus types with better suits and fancier shields.
mingling between a longwinded stealth mission and uninspired casino games

The reason so many people are complaining is, well, this is it. No more, the end of the line. Shep is done, FOREVER. How do they send him/her off, with a clone battle. A clone boss battle. I thought boss battles were video gamey (not complaining, I love boss fights, just pointing out BioWares hypocrisy). I don't know, I wanted this to be good. I wanted to think BioWare still cared. Wanting rarely meets reality I guess. Oh, did I mention Shep is done forever, never to show up ever again in anything. Yeah, it sucks.

Just finished (modified version below).

Pros:

-some of the dialogue is hilarious, i laughed out loud several times (esp. with kasumi's random appearances at the party)
-silversun strip is gorgeous, the enviroment in the DLC is so colorful that time just flew by when i was exploring it
-mordin's message...good god, the tears did flow
-attention to detail, both visually and in banter dialogue
-the scene with shepard overlooking the normandy; in my playthrough, kaidan says something like "it's been the biggest challenge, but also the biggest reward" or something to that effect and i was genuinely moved to tears
-soundtrack was nice (i would personally have preferred different party music, but the combat and romance music was good)
-the ability to interact with each character separately at various points throughout the DLC was nice
-fighting in the normandy = well done
-extra effort was put into LI contact overall, which is very much appreciated
-some of the in-game combat varieties were nice (e.g., having to disable cameras at the casino)

Cons:

-main mission was short- not sure how long it took other people, but it took me about 3 hours to finish it (i'm not complaining about how much the DLC cost, just saying that i think it could have been expanded more)
-though i'm not personally *that* turned off by the shepard clone, it did feel somewhat cliche/abrupt/unexplained (cerberus did what with her genes and made what? why?)
-brooks' character felt rushed..by the time that she was introduced and i was just starting to like her, she turns to a completely different personality and i had a hard time swallowing the switch
-the "come to my apt." scene with kaidan (my LI) was...awkward and short. i haven't seen any other LI scenes, though i'm guessing from even just the trailer that some of them are more interesting (in general, i felt like kaidan and shepard were acting more like comrades or military buddies during that particular scene than romantic partners).
-this is really nitpicky, but i would have liked at least one alternate casual outfit for shepard...that short black dress was grating my eyes after a few hours
-i had several glitches on my playthrough...e.g., calling up Tali but then having Liara show up after I tried to call Liara earlier and failed.
-in general, the inviting people up mechanism was confusing--when i would try to invite someone up pre-party, glyph would try to start the party. when i'd tell him no i'm not ready, people would come in and (as far as i could tell) reference the party happening before it happened. weird.
-*MODIFIED: my final and, now that i think about it, main con pertains to the ending (yes, the taboo discussion that is the ending)...if this would have been post-ending, it would have been absolutely pheomenal. but stuck in the middle of the war, it felt awkward and off at times (the party amidst the reapers). similarly, when i reached the end, the party aftermath felt "quiet," as Liara says...just sort of melancholic. i think at some point she even said that..."probably our last one [party]"...that line really struck a chord with me. if it had been "the last party," but had the tone of "hurrah we won the war!" i think the DLC would have looked quite different. as it stands, it's incredibly bittersweet. i don't mind bittersweet as long as the bitter makes sense or has meaning/purpose or SOMETHING, but the way the ending is now...it just seems bitter for no reason.

Feedback: No doubt good and its understandable why so many want to consider this the proper/better way to end the trilogy. One big thing though: ONCE AGAIN the me 2 squad is marginalized....even MAIN characters in me 2 like Miranda and Jacob
