Otherwise, it was brilliant. Poignant, funny, sad, exciting. Brilliant.

Also, the best dialogue wheel in the entire series: "I will end you" vs. "I will end you painfully" – Got a big chuckle at that one :-)

The entire DLC was brilliant. Would have been nice to have the option to invite your crew mates up to the apartment just to hang out, even if they don't say anything. That place seems really empty and lonely after the ending party.
Yes, I would have liked this too – The Mass Effect hubs have a certain serenity to them, and it's nice to just occasionally "go on a walk" there. The ability to have people over there – even if just silent and/or doing their own thing – greatly adds to this on a more personal level. Of course, it's not a must, but if this option is on the table for future ME games, I think it should make the cut next time.

I've got a full review up over here.
Most of what I have to say is negative, I'll admit, but that's not to say I didn't have some fun with it. There was some good and/or funny stuff in Citadel, it's just that the final product really didn't have any business being in a Mass Effect game. Especially *this* Mass Effect game.
Your critique has some valid points, sure.
But I don't really get how people can expect Shepards to be on mission full on 24/7. The cabin on a ship is still...a cabin. On a war ship. It is NOT a shore-leave. And Shepard is NOT the only one who'd need that. You have a crew remember?
The most idiotic (sorry, I need to call it that) point is where you wrote about them making jokes while people are massacred. Are you for real? How the hell do you think soldiers, policemen and doctors get over death? By being serious all the time? You have to relieve some stress, by joking or other stuff.
Another point I don't agree with is you saying the characters were not in-character. To be honest, you only know how they act while in battle mode. Why shouldn't you discover new shades of their personalities.
Now, maybe I do not look so deep into these thing like some of you guys do, but at least for me, some things (I mean with the DLC plot and the ME3 ending) aren't really that much of an issue. I guess I take everything for what it is and not for what I want it to be (or what I think would be better...).
This DLC was supposed to provide fan-service and have a parody-like mission. And I do think it's got its place in '*this* ME game. But that's just my opinion, and yours is yours

The series has had overall had two contradictory arcs:
- The first game had a great overarching plot and some good character writing, but really annoying sub-popamole gameplay.
- ME2 had a fairly retarded overarching plot, great character writing and really good popamole gameplay.
- ME3 had an extremely retarded overarching plot, moments of good character writing and excellent popamole gameplay.
Citadel seemed to be Bioware accepting that ME1 level story is beyond them these days, and focusing on what they do well - fanservice, waifu/husbando simulators, and TV hipster action show dialogue and plot. Plus plenty of popamole (even a popamole arena with all-you-can-eat popamole).
It was good for what it was.

and it delivered.
I'm sure the neckbeards are happy that they could spend more time with the waifus

After being disappointed with the ending, I'm so grateful for the emotional coda this DLC provides. Finally have a long-missing sense of closure to my Shepard's story. I think, character-wise, this has set the gold standard for which all future BioWare must aspire.
Sincere thanks, gratitude, and admiration to the whole team for constructively synthesizing all of the feedback received over the past year and crafting something so unabashedly joyful and emotionally engaging. You can feel the love and passion that went into creating this last story in every line of dialogue, see it in every stunning frame.
Thanks, BioWare, for this cherished gift, and for letting us take one last, unforgettable ride with our crew.

Change of pace
Memorable moments
A self contained story
Cons:
Could do with more apartment customisation options
Suggestions:
Allow us to change the clothes of team mates in the arena. I also like the idea mentioned by the journalists at giantbomb.com. They felt that this DLC was great because it felt like one episode of a series and that having episodic content for the ME world with a different story and villian each time would make it feel like some really fun cop show/star trek serial.
Overall, I like this a lot, it improved on the short comings of Omega. The problem is that at the end of Omega you could not return, all you got for your efforts were war assets, weapons and some bonus powers. In Citadel you can return to play mini games and interact with crew mates with that arena being a really great side quest/mini game that will consume many hours.
I love the humour and the action, it just felt like a nice change of pace and is in my opinion, the best DLC I have purchased since the Shivering Isles for Oblivion. The Citadel DLC has lots to do for the price point.

Dont you all just feel that this should have been the at the end of the game ? im mean part of actual ending ???? just imgine we beat the reapers eveeryone survived etc and there is this party etc...and after shepard takes his LI and just flies of to the somewhere... so much better it would have been than what we got....
Still cant get over that ending....even playing rthis i know that "ending" is still there which casts shadow on everything as it is just poor and doesnt cut in in any conceivable way ...Its nonsense and doesnt give a good feeling of accomplishment as a good story should .
Tragic really....

- Wrex
- Squad interactions and LI content though I wish there was more after doing the main DLC mission
- Party
- Great new hub are
- Soundtrack
- So many variables and details etc.
- Spacers mom
Cons:
- Felt too short
- Clone. Seriously Bioware?
- No connection to Reaper war
- Could use more costumation for apartment.
- Javik, u no dress up in formal wear? Seriously though I would like to see Javik wear something differend that same old armor all the time.
- Lack of certain characters (Chakwas, Adams. Ken, Gabby and Kelly). No any kind of content for Legion. Not even mention from anyone. Or Morinth.
- I wish Colonist or Earthborn Shepards got something too. Like Earthborn Shepard finding out what happened to her/his parents or something.
- DLC made the ending even more bitter
- The way Shepard pursue James for one night stand is just wrong. Though I would loved to have him as full romance. Or Javik >_> I think Javik would have ade interesting LI
Overall this DLC is still best one made for ME3. Maybe even best DLC for whole trilogy. I'm sure I forgot something.

They could have had it like on the Normandy, where the characters move around the ship. Throw in some random generic ambient dialogue and that would have been great.

2nd thought: OMG NO! It's the last DLC
1st thought after finishing it: Freakin' awesome!
2nd thought after finishing it: Best fan-service ever!
It's as good as LotSB, the only thing that it lacks to be better than LotSB is a car chase.
Thanks for this last piece of awesomeness (although I still hope that the fact that it's the last is a lie).

You're right, of course: it is idiotic for me to expect a consistent tone from this franchise. That's my fault entirely.
In all seriousness, if the DLC had presented the one-liners as an actual coping mechanism for all the crap they'd been through, then that would be one thing (Garrus and Joker do this all the time, actually, deflecting serious questions and observations with humor to keep everything at arms-length). But it doesn't do that. The galaxy is dying and we take a break to act out a Loony Toons episode.

So all those times I sought them out between missions and talked to them about their hopes, dreams, and perspectives just... doesn't count? I'm supposed to forget all the characterization I've seen previously and be okay with the sneering imperialist from a dead race getting drunk at a house party like a juvenile frat boy because... what? It's funny? Is that all all it takes?

I took it for what it was, too: transparent, pandering fanservice. For me, abandoning tone, theme, and characterization in what is purportedly a dramatic space opera is a big deal.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, here, I'm really not. I want to be totally clear that if you like the DLC, then I think that's great. I am genuinely happy that some people can have fun with it, and it looks like a lot of you have. What I do have a problem with is people claiming that just because they like it, it's somehow immune to criticism. Something can be enjoyable while simultaneously being really, really bad as part of a narrative. By all means, play it again (I know I am, like I said I really liked parts of it) but don't get angry and start name-calling because people point out its flaws.

I enjoyed that the DLC was pandering to the fans. It was exciting, the plot was fun but not overbearing, and it was nice being able to see the characters one last time. I've hardly even touched the arena or casino yet, but I will get around to it. Definitely worth another playthrough.
I was also very happy with the romance scene with Tali. The singing was cute in my opinion, so it wrapped everything up quite well.

The plot itself was interesting, but not thaaaaat great in the end. Didn't really feel that big as we expect, and how the player was supposed to feel about the enemy wasn't executed too well. Also I would have liked to see some more stuff in the archives. I like the world, so a timeline history would be great!
Actually I kinda expected that, due to it being the last dlc, we would uncover something big in the archives.
But hey minor flaws. I got a party and I loved it, and I now I just want more character interactions! Hell, you could make another dlc just about characters, charge outrageous prices and I would happily buy it!
