Well the action part was not too good imo, if this is the future of the plot in ME we have plenty to fear id say. I mean your evil clone that wants to take your place, come on! However I have to say so far the other part with minigames and character interactions seems to deliver somewhat. I felt tough like im watching some soap opera about ME universe involving Shepard. And yeah, fanservice overload.

Hard to say what im feeling at this point, ima bit mixed about this.

Its not a good mission dlc, but if you want to meet your friends, then id say buy this.

yeah, i felt mixed too. i remember that when the DLC was over and shep tells everyone to go back to the normandy, i had this sort of sinking feeling in my gut, but it was hard to pin.

I loved it but after all the fighting and clone thing. The whole party and hanging with the crew. Should of been more of that. Just hearing the sqaud interact is better then just going into fight after fight with just two of them. Made me care more about the whole series.

It was too self-referential. The inside jokes that were not so inside were all over the place, yet the ones that could've been true inside jokes weren't there. For example: Why not have Shepard say he preferred steak when James was cooking eggs? Not everyone knows about that.

But I will say the way you handled Mordin... Made me regret what I did to him. I let him do the right thing, but still.

Honestly I thought it was the best DLC they've ever done. Sure it was cheesy in places but it was a fitting tribute to an end of such a great series. There wasn't anything about it the DLC that I didn't enjoy, they pretty much hit everything I was looking for. If anything, it actually made me want to play the game again in a couple different playthroughs. I hardly replayed ME 3, after replaying the living crap out of 1 and 2. Now I may give it another shot.

So, thanks for the memories, Bioware

When I calm down, I will attempt to write a more reasonable evaluation of my thoughts on this.

As it is, all I can say is this.

I didn't think it was possible for me to hate anything in the trilogy more than I hated Kai Leng on Thessia.

But I was wrong.

I dislike the storyline, but I'll get to that later.

It is the final-kill-Brooks-six-times-in-the-same-fight-but-she-never-stays-down boss fight  that fills my gamer girl heart with rage and contempt.

I thought I would never hate a section of the trilogy as much as I hate Kai Leng on Thessia.

Now I think I will never hate another section of gaming as much as I hate the Battle of the Normandy.

It is that preposterous.

if the goal was to bury this franchise once and for all with one last heap of shameful terrible content then I'd say best dlc yet.

I'm going to quote this because this is how I feel as well. Loved it. Laughed out loud more than a few times, had fun going through the story part (bit cheesy and silly, but still fun), loved the party, shed a few tears at the very last scene.

This is now my favorite DLC. Thanks, BioWare. I haven't always agreed with what you've done with the series, but it's a fitting send-off. To me, anyway. <3

Cons -
Would have liked the squad to comment on thing like the files in the Archives.
Thought the ME2 squad would be in the main story, disappointed there.
Brooks, or whatever her name was, was annoying. She kept shouting for help both when she got shot and during the one part in combat, over and over like a second apart. I know you're in trouble give me a second to get over there.
The Shep clone was a stupid plot.
The dates/hangouts were lacking
Disabling the stuff in the casino was a pain
Glitch/Bug: The squad select screen to choose your party during the Casino part has Wrex, Vega and Brooks all with the same comabt info, which is James'.

Pros -
Humor. Oh god the humor was sooo great.
Wrex in the party
The party after the story ended
Overheard banter (Elcoor Hamlet to Patrirach) was great
The audio logs of Mordin singing and stuff was great
Anderson biography audios scattered around the apartment
Kasumi ninja trolling the party

I know, more cons than pros, but I'm nitpicky. Overall it wasn't what I expected, there are some disappointments, but I did like the DLC.

I didn't like it because it cheesy and is nothing but appalling fan service that does not fit in with Mass effect 3.
Overdone drama and it has a fail villain with basically more Cerberus.

As far as I played looks very good, even with this clone thing.

I'll just pretend that this is the end of Mass Effect. It actually feels like the end of Shepard's story, something that the game itself can't achieve.

It's a post game epilogue that is not post ending. It's weird. I wonder why this couldn't be played after the ending. But it's your call after all.

I hope that your work in the next Mass Effect feels like Citadel DLC, Tuchanka, Rannoch, ME1 and ME2. That's whats Mass Effect it's all about. Characters and their stories.

Dragon Age 2 and some artistic decisions that you made in ME3 (and I'm not talking only about last 10 minutes) made me fear for the future of Bioware games.

Citadel just gave me a little hope for what you have stored for the future. But just a little.

Now let this characters and Shepard's story go. And reverence and remember them as the legends and myths that they are in the next Mass Effect. In the future, you know. In this wonderful collection of worlds, characters and races struggling to survive, rebuild and help each other. With no more Reapers and their logic.

Just... no prequel, please.

I loved the character interactions. But ultimately this whole thing felt like an ending in the middle of the game. And if you were going to use a clone it would of been better to do it in the main story. despite the cliche a clone would have been much better than the starchild.

I'm seeing that sentment at the other sites I've visited today too. But Bioware had to hold the line because to place this DLC at the end, which would be its logical location, they would have to admit Shep lives, and they won't do that.

I thought the humor was great. Although, really over the top in some places. It was clear this was just a "fun" mission that shouldn't be taken seriously. While it would've been AWESOME if it was in the original game, to do this for the very last DLC....not so awesome.

Bad parts:
- Trolling the fans with Tali...again. Seriously that is some rough stuff. After all you guys did already...
- General cheesiness of the enemy. Again, in the original game it would've been fine. Just not as the enemy in the last DLC.

Nice to see all the squadmates fight though. This is what the fans wanted in the final mission. This is what they begged you for. Too bad you couldn't deliver.

Thank you Bioware peeps! Thank you. It's not where I wanted it to be... but I'll take it.

Sidenote: to fellow anti-enders: Take what is given as a gift, for it truly is a gift. For me, the trilogy ends before Cronus station at the conclusion of The Citadel. And no... I won't go for any Mehmes (whatever) because I'm on Xbox and the last DLC is good.

If BW did alter the endings... I won't know firsthand because I'm not going beyond what I've played on Citadel until I hear otherwise. Shepard is where she belongs. On the Normandy with her crew.

But I can say, the Hurrah moments were aplenty and I'm happy with the final DLC.

So...trolls. Let me have my good time. You have your good/bad time. But
don't try to take away my good feeling. I want to keep it. Thanks!

After reading all the posts in this thread I had decided not to get the DLC until I saw this post.  Now I am 50/50.  Then I see all we get is an email from mom?!?  No thanks I will save my money for something else.

Bought every single piece of ME2 and 3 so far...read the spoilers, not buying this. Bad writing, ridiculous main plot, not ending DLC, and it doesn't matter to the story. ME2's DLC lineup was so much better. Free day one DLC, added new squadmates, and had two major story content DLCs which were post-ending.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure chatting with squadmaters as nice, but as a whole I think it's totally not what the fans wanted for the final story, so I don't want to support it.

Fact of the matter is, you didn't listen to fans and didn't change the ending. Clevernoobs video (which threads about get locked around here) clearly indicates the majority of fans are displeased with you guys. You haven't listened to us. And you lie claiming you are.

So whatever good you do, I personally just cannot see past this. With this being the last DLC, it means you have sealed your fate for me. No more.

On the upside, maybe some clever modder will set it so this can be played after the Destroy ending.

I'm only about an hour into the DLC, in the Casino, but I've loved eery minute of it so far. Can't wait to finish it.
