On my Femshep that romanced Kaidan their were several little moments where he would make a comment that referenced them being together. I liked the amount of interaction you got with your LI I do think that whatever you get as a fan you will always want more but in this regard for Kaidan at least I feel Bioware actually listened to the fans

My MShep romanced Kaidan and I noticed that as well. I really enjoyed the little moments outside calling Kaidan to the apartment. All the little comments throughout the DLC to reference them as being a couple. Previously, outside of becoming a couple, before the station, and once or twice during Priority: Earth *shudder*, there was little to indicate any sort of relationship. This DLC really seemed to fill that out quite a bit. We got to see them as a couple not only in a scene, but throughout. Similar to the way Leviathan added Kaidan mentioning "I guess that's part of what I love about you" after Shepard did something crazy dangerous.

and then BW ruins it all with the zombie eyes - rolling backwards -in the final dialogue.
how could they ! >:-(

Good, does not fix the endings but the rest was good. Liked the time with the squad and the jokes. Gave me some hope that you would address the endings but you did not. Probably wont buy ME4/ME: Next still but it was a good last piece of Bioware content for me though.

Twas a great DLC. Id say music was great, the Pinnacle station VR arcade was wonderful(i forgot its name but it was better than pinnacle) The hub after the story, in the flat or in the street outise was great, especially its design, i really liked it. I thought the clone story was predictable, but enjoyable none the less, the boss fight was a pain with clone shepard using medigels lol. The little arcade games, im picky about, I enjoyed the crane grabbing items thing, i loved traynors chess game though i wanted to play it!! <3 chess. The fighting game was crap. nice idea but i just didnt really enjoy it, I found i was spamming right trigger mostly, and blocking too late sometimes i dunno, and i couldnt keep up with the scores =(, the um reaper killing and defending shuttles minigame was brutal lol all about quick thinking i liked it. but the best part of the dlc was the party. if i wasnt grinning like the cheshire cat, i was laughing, and nodding and clapping aha. one thing thank you <3

I just wanted to say, "Thank you". Regardless of whatever has transpired over the years, thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with my crew, one last time.

Generally I liked it, but I expected a bit more, so...

pros:
- Andersons memories are great
- I liked Maya as a character
- I loved the jokes (the pizza guy, party complaining they never get picked for a mission.. and expecially Tali's last comment on the villain: Bosh'tet. Yeah!)
- Loved the overheard Multiplayer references when you run through the citadel (actually, this is why I bought the DLC in the first place)
-some fine roleplay moments

cons:
- Too expensive for what's in it, half the price would have been more fitting
- Archives are a bit too much self-reference
- Animation of the teams hammerhead and mako in the archives kinda looked artificial
- I expected I could take ME2 chars on the mission.. disappointed I could not.
- As good as the conversations are written, I'd still like a more active part in it. So instead of clicking on my squadmates and watch the following dialogue I want to choose answers and give the dialogue a direction.
-It takes Shep too far from the war and the main plot. MainPlot was designed to create a dark, melancholic end-of-the-world-atmosphere.. it kinda gets broken through the DLC
- Didn't like the clone idea so much.

well, thats my first impression

So... One of my Femsheps had a fling with Kelly in 2 and in 3 I decided to pursue that relationship for story reasons. colour me effin' surprised, when I realized that while you can have a go with Javik or Vega, rekindle the flame with Samara and interact with almost everybody, Kelly is suspiciously absent from the DLC.

I admit I feel a bit ripped off, all the romances get their share, even new romances are possible, but this storyline is simply being left out?

Sorry, Bioware, but this sucks! You can't tell me I'm the only one that had a Shepard chose to go for Kelly. Certainly more than for the boorish Vega or the arrogant, annoying Javik.

Hello Bioware and BSN,

Back in January I took an extended leave from the Mass Effect series and from BSN itself to focus on my Clinical rotations. I had exhausted the Mass Effect universe with countless replays, became Best of the Best on multiplayer, and met quite a few great individuals courtesy of Mass Effect 3. Unfortunately, an additional reason as to why I left my ME trilogy behind when I moved across the country was because it had lost it's replayability. I had completed at least 15 playthroughs on each game, tried both genders, had different LI's, changed major choices, and experimented with different classes; I had just exhausted the trilogy completely of all it had. This is where Citadel DLC comes into play.

My console and trilogy are still on the other end of the nation from me, but it did not stop me from Youtubing as much of the Citadel DLC as I possibly could upon it's release. And Bioware, you delivered in providing new life and new incentive to come back. When I saw the Reckoning DLC drop (please give the MP Devs a pat on the back as those guys have been amazing to us fans) and then the Citadel DLC with Wrex, my heart fluttered a little bit. You hit the right cords and right then and there I made a phone call and requested my console be shipped to me. With some thorough watching and time to reflect on what was good and bad, I thought I'd post this in light of your PAX retrospective speech.

The good: you plucked all the right cords with the fans who have been with the series since the beginning, and boy, did you do it marvelously. The addition of Wrex as a temp squadmate was executed perfectly. His introduction to the DLC was done great justice and brought back fond memories. The way you handled him within this DLC is what I expected to have been done in ME3 to begin with. You rectified the wrongs with ME2 paramours. Thane's funeral, Samara being romanced, and Jack using a shout-out reference to the High-EMS destroy ending and opening up the way she did were all excellently done. You did good on those, Bioware, you really did. The Armax combat arena was a good idea executed even better. It challenged many and it paved the way to play with former squadmembers; smart move, Bioware. The jokes were funny and well-time, the VA's performed at their best, and you gave us a lasting goodbye. It's hard to understand how these digital characters transcended just being a plethora of polygons and animations to become "friends" who we just don't want to say goodbye to. Citadel executed a proper sendoff to these characters, and the scene where Shep is consoled by his/her LI before entering the Normandy echoed my feelings on the trilogy: simply, the best.

Here's what went wrong: it feels all out of place. The narrative took the back seat in favor of a light hearted piece chock-full of BSN jokes and select fanservice which makes it stick out like a sore thumb in the grim ME3. While having Wrex as a temporary squad in this DLC was good, it did bring some ire when the thought dawned upon me, "This is what we were promised to begin with for vanilla ME3 with several characters, and instead all we received were cameos during select chapters." ME3 should have received the temporary squad treatment for others you gave Wrex. This is a big misstep you can learn for future trilogies when you discuss former squadmembers being temporary squadmembers. The Clone Shep feels like he/she missed their potential as they felt more like a D-rated villain in terms of the narrative. Clone Shep is nothing more than a Conrad Verner version of you who is bitter, there isn't as much depth to them as their could have been. The Tali LI scene where she sings, I just don't understand why you chose this route. The scene was awkward to watch and her revealing her full-face would have been so much more appreciated; it would have actually eclipsed a lot of other praises I have for this DLC, but you chose not to in favor of karaoke night. And lastly, you didn't give the fans the major piece they have clamored for months: new ending possibilities aside from additional war assets. While I respect sticking to your guns on your choice about upholding preexisting endings, I think this was your worst misstep. Additional endings would have sated several of the critics and added so much more replayability to this game, but you chose not to; when it was the major fan desire, I am simply stumped why you didn't add any other options. It's not so much I desire a happy ending, it's because we are forced to have our hero submit to the rules of the epitome of our trilogy antagonist: the Catalyst. Don't like it? Well, there's refuse and everyone dies, so try again. This DLC could have added the war assets in action on Priority Earth to show your choices in action, but didn't. And it could have given you the best proper send off to your friends and acknowledgement of what your choices did in the end via epilogue slides... it didn't.

Bioware, you did great with the fanservice in the Citadel. You hit several notes well and I am so thankful for the product you have given us as fans and how receptive you are to us. You are my favorite developer, ME is my favorite series, and Shepard is my favorite series. However, I do not know if I can play Citadel DLC just yet. I'm not ready to say goodbye to my Shepard, Ash, or my crew. It sucked me into it's orbit and never really let go. As much as this piece feels out of place and it stokes the fire of what could have and should have been, thank you for listening. So in light of your PAX retrospective video, please, and I'll urge this once more, please give us some outlet for us fans to know what happened post-ME3 choices. Headcanons can only take us so far and the ending of ME3 left more questions than answers for me. Once again, thank you: it's been the greatest.

You response is a bit 2 sided and these 2 sides don't even come close to each other, it is like having a girlfriend that is a great kisser, but keeps cheating on you with your best friend.

First of all they are not receptive, they simply want you to buy their stuff and since they already knew a lot of people would swallow a ridiculous storyline, day 1 DLC  and the best thing the fact that a lot of people fall for their marketing machine, it really wasn't that difficult any more.

I watched the Citadel on youtube and it has the most ridiculous story ever .....a clone..really.?.where is Jar Jar that is the only thing  that they haven't...oh wait space ghost of course .

I played the DLC as if it was post-ending and really enjoyed it. All the little scenes with the crew are wonderful. I will never forget some of them (Blasto 7, Garrus tango...) The party was a bit disappointed, I was expecting something spectacular, but it was nice anyway.

However, I would have loved to have Samara, Jack, Miri and Jacob during the mission. This was not my ENTIRE squad ! And Thane's videos were boring IMO, I was still disappointed about his treatment in ME3.

Thank you for that piece of fun !

This is, hands down, my favorite DLC by you guys. I'm a big fan of comedy, cheesy or not, so I was cracking up the whole time. As a result, it was a bit hard to take the clone seriously (except for when he stole the Normandy. That got my attention.), but I think the whole thing is gold.

The Citadel DLC was overall great, although the tone of the DLC doesn't fit the rest of the game. I had already completed the game twice when I played the Citadel DLC, so this didn't affect me too much. If I was playing through the game my first time, the Citadel DLC would have felt too out of place though. The tone is simply too comedic to be part of the main game - so thankfully it isn't.

That being said though, the content itself is really, really fun. As usual, the dialogue is very well-written, but it is unusually witty and often outright silly. Combined with a staggering number of inside jokes, it is a great way to, I assume, close off a 6 year saga full of characters that people have come to love.

Perhaps the anti-Sheppard villain was just a tad over-the-top silly. But I don't mind it too much, the storyline with the anti-Sheppard villain is not really the main feature of the DLC. The amazing apartment, the Silversun Strip and the party are the main draws, and they are fantastic. The apartment was really well designed, like all apartments in the game honestly. Your level designers should start designing real apartments, I want to live in them. You might also want to consider expanding your business ventures to include a series of nightclubs. And space stations.

This may have been answered already, but do you get certain character interactions depending on what you do. I had several meetings with squad members even multiple ones. I have seen some that i figure or romance related and never got, but on one playthrough I got the Javik invite then on another I never got Javik nor Jacobs meeting.

The DLC accomplished its goal. I loved it. It was a little bit of a departure from the tone of the rest of the game, but that's ok in my book. The clone wasn't the best, but it accomplished what the writers wanted, to focus on the squadmates.

I'm sorry some on this forum believe this was one last final insult to ME fans, when it was clearly a DLC so focused on pleasing the fans. The DLC was definitely detail oriented. I loved all the jokes about ME3MP. ME3 was a strong game, and nearly all the flack it gets is unfunded. It was an epic ride.

With each new DLC I get the feeling that "Taste the rainbow Shepard!", becomes more relevant than ever.
I really don't want to be dissapointed in my fav game when all DLCs come out, so bioware, stop making this into comedy. EC, Leviathan and Omega failed hard, bring us back the thrill of a simple yet exiting story! ME and ME2 ftw~!

Digging out this thread. I think I should become a Nostrodamus, or how was he called. I effing predicted it becoming a comedy. I'm so sad.
But Bioware, if you want it like that, then remake the scene with ripper like that. I would fit a new game approach you've choosen.
Now if you excuse me - *Sits atop of the Normandy and yells to Joker - "JOKER! Drive me closer! I want to hit them with my omni-sword!"*

Quoting myself seems ugly, but still... Kudos to you, Bioware. Making sci-fi adventure into "this", well that's not so unexpected. After browsing forum I see mostly positive feedback based on, well, nothing. I won't take numbers from nowhere, but I think your consumer player base mostly consist of minors, which explains great reception of this DLC. "It wasn't like entire trilogy at all, but we accept this because it's great". Really, where it's great? In cheesy lines? In forced romantic scenes? In visibility of choise?

Anyway, this post will drown in all the "BEST DLC EVAH!!11" posts, so my rant is pretty uselless. But I miss the Bioware that was woking for their own great ideas, not caring about consumers, and bringing us good games.

Oh, and seeing how your staff on this forum act like a children and fear any argumented criticism is damn funny. I see why a lot of ppl moved to HTL from here. But money will be flowing, new generations are coming, and you can bring up your own sheep-like customers.

If they had made this the ending of the game then the forumns would not be ablaze with rage right now, they could have quite easily too....

Basically you get enough military strength/galatic readyness tell the little robo child thing that you refuse to bend to his will then shepard and his boys mess up the reapers fly outta there then have a big party on the citadel :).

Great DLC! Exactly what ME3 needed... something character-focused, upbeat, and fun. You'd have to be a very grouchy, very ornery person to not have fun playing this DLC.

Thank you Bioware for sending off the ME trilogy on a positive note!

For all those who found the clone thing ridiculous:we knew the clone could exist. In ME2,first mission,Jacob tells Shepard that he is not a clone. In ME3,Cerberus Headquarters,Shepard is afraid when he discovers how bad his conditions were. He even doubts that he is Commander Shepard,he thinks that maybe he is a clone.
Mass Effect is a sci-fi game. Science fiction includes teleport, starships, advanced weapons and clones. Accept it.

This DLC turned out to be amazing. In fact, I could go as far and say that this DLC is about the same level of quality as Lair of the Shadow Broker, and that was my favourite one. The banter between the team was top notch, especially considering Wrex comes back to be part of your team. Bringing Wrex and Garrus along was just like the good old days. Brooks added alot of fun to the mix as well. But I do admit, when she turned out to be on the clone's side, she instantly became less interesting and a little cliche. Speaking of clone, I'm not sure what to say about him/her. The clone didn't really add anything fantastic dialogue wise. But I've got to say that the clone actually is a better fit as an adversary than Kai Leng ever was. In addition, fighting the clone on the Normandy was a lot of fun and challenging.

The content that you get after the story campaign was a lot more than I thought. The party, the Armax combat simulator, your companions, and more really set this DLC apart from the rest. Again, the banter was incredible, a lot of fun, and perhaps a little touching (the datapad with Mordin was a nice touch).

I feel like I've been scribbling on a notepad with my thoughts, trying to get my thoughts down on paper (well, a computer screen). So I might as well sum it up. This DLC was well worth the price. It was a wonderful farewell to the trilogy, and it even got me fired up to replay the entire trilogy again. With the amount of content you get, even after the story with the clone, as well as the fond farewell, this confirmed that the Mass Effect Trilogy was nothing short of fantastic.

Thank you Bioware for the DLC and for the Trilogy.

A clone.

This is what will keep me from buying the DLC.

This is only my personal preference...as I just hate the idea of an evil clone in any media franchise...be it comics, mass effect, etc...

I was very surprised by the story.  With OMEGA all I required was for Aria to be the uberbad**** she'd been hinted at and to be incomparably powerful.  That and seeing her employ violence to take back Omega.  The story was a rather simple one and very satisfying.

With CITADEL, there is a lot more story and the "beat the bad guys" part is really the nominal part.  The good stuff is all the homages and the farewell to the characters.

That said, I loved the clone and I *loved* the Brooks character OMG!  She was AWESOME!  The clone villain reminded me a bit of TOWER OF BABEL in the JLA comics.  In that one (spoilers), Batman's notes on his fellow Leaguers fall into the wrong hands.  We learn his assessments of the characters and strategies he would use to beat them.  The Citadel Clone villain reminded me of his notes on Wonder Woman who could only be defeated by herself.  I thought that was kind of epic--it takes Shepard to beat Shepard like it takes Wonder Woman to take down Wonder Woman.

And let's face it, Evil Shep puts up an epic fight--I very nearly failed to stop her.

I'm here to give a BIG thank you to all the BioWare team that worked not only in Mass Effect 3, but also on the first two games.
I feel like Shepard when he says "THE BEST" about this awesome journey. I have never connect so well with anything in videogames, as I have connected with this characters you created and bring to life.
Hell, I like Garrus or Wrex a lot more than some of my coworkers :D and I know them better too.... thats just strange I know...

A big thanks to BioWare for the best ride a videogame has ever given me, and another big thanks for this awesome DLC, that brought me tears of joy and of sadness to see it all over and knowing my Shepard story is finally complete.

Awesome, terrific work, and I can't wait to see what you guys will come up next!!!

I am on my FIRST play through of the series. I don't intend to play all the way to the end.. because I don't need the grief but I will play this DLC over and over and over.

It was clever fun from start to finish. Loved all the fun it poked at things you only would have known if you had played through from the first game as I did. (The comment about the elevator conversations for instance.) Too bad that most of the fun in the series had to be concentrated into this addendum instead of spread out over the games as it should have been. That would have been epic.

I loved the clone!! What a clever idea and the fight out on the wing was the great space opera genre that this series should have stayed throughout in my opinion. (Even if the ending was lifted straight out of "The Mummy Returns" but then they probably lifted it from something else. :-) I utterly despised the Brooks woman but recognized HER character as Rosie Carter in the James Bond movie "Live and let Die" and so was pretty sure that she was going to end up a double agent like that character did. I was very relieved when she did because.. Damn! she was annoying as an idiot!!!

Thanks for a great time! I usually have lots of trouble with the uneven romances that a femshep is given with Alenko. (He was the only choice at the beginning and I stayed with him.) and the lack of attention to hetero female romance throughout is pretty bad. I felt that I was captain of the SS Lesbos and made very uncomfortable throughout by the fact that all the women seemed to want my Femshep and none of the men apparently did.
A girl who dares to only want a guy is treated pretty bad in this series. All the men (Thank God not Alenko) seem only interested in the other mostly blue women and we have to soldier on through most of it with NO romantic solace at all and NO sexy exclusively male alien or yeoman. It is a pretty dry desert. At least we get a little tiny bit of attention here..(Enjoyed James ripping off his shirt to display his tattoo! :-) He should, by all that is holy should have been available as a LI in the main game.

The only problem I had with this DLC was the fact that Alenko was afflicted with a graphic error that I have heard comes from a patch that was supposed to address some problem with multiplayer. (This is pretty horrible for me because I have absolutely no interest in multiplayer and no intention of ever doing it.) So I ended up with a marred experience because of something I don't even need! Too bad. It was distracting to say the least.

The DLC itself, though was a hoot and worth every penny! Thanks.

Just a quick question:
I started the Citadel DLC right after Priority:Citadel (so after you've been to Tuchanka) and I'm conceirned about missing lots of squadmates.
For example I haven't met Tali, Zaeed, Samara,.... till now and I want to have them at my parties.

At the moment I'm starting the casino mission - can you stop the Citadel DLC after this mission, so that you can advance further in the main game (to get Tali and other squad members be part of the DLC)?
If not, I'd have to load an old savegame before the Citadel DLC.
