Just a quick question:
I started the Citadel DLC right after Priority:Citadel (so after you've been to Tuchanka) and I'm conceirned about missing lots of squadmates.
For example I haven't met Tali, Zaeed, Samara,.... till now and I want to have them at my parties.

At the moment I'm starting the casino mission - can you stop the Citadel DLC after this mission, so that you can advance further in the main game (to get Tali and other squad members be part of the DLC)?
If not, I'd have to load an old savegame before the Citadel DLC.

Yes. You can even do the party after the ending.

Make sure you DO NOT buy party supplies, until everything is said and done

I cannot tell you how much I loved this DLC.  I have never been so blown away by anything.  Way surpassed my expectations.

It was fun to play and I got a lot of play time out of it.  I enjoyed visiting with characters from the prior games and was seriously impressed by all the sub-plots, side-games and little details that added so much heart to it.

Thank you for all the extra story plot with the LIs!  Archangel.  But seriously, it made the game that much more enjoyable.  I like a good shoot-em-up ok, but the story is always what keeps me hooked, and more importantly, motivated to play.

Some of my favorite ever scenes and dialoge in any game just came from this DLC, on top of the other work I already had a place in my heart for.

In my head canon, that ending was my happy ending, I think. :)

In my opinion, the Bioware team proved why they are great with this DLC.  Great job to the writers, devs, qa, actors, and everyone else involved!

Just finished the Party. I loved every part of the DLC and thought it was simply brilliant. Every part, from the missions to the meeting up with each of your crew and finally the party. A truly perfect finish for a brilliant game. Thank you Bioware! :D

I think people who say that the clone is a bad villain or a dumb idea are missing the point. The point isn't "wow, a clone of Shepard, that's a cool villain and an original concept." Of course it isn't. Clones and evil twins have been done in sci-fi forever. What is cool is what their implementation of the clone villain says about Shepard -- that he is who he is because of his friends and allies. At one point the clone Shepard says (paraphrasing) "I am who you were supposed to be, a lone wolf without all the emotional baggage." But then in the end when they are both hanging off the edge of the shuttle bay, Shepard's friends risk their lives to pull him up while the clone just gets left there. And the message is clear, that Shepard is nothing without his friends and he would have been dead a thousand times over without them. So yeah, it's a clone, but there's a good reason for using that cliche here, and I like what they did with it.

Agree with you completely.  It fits entirely with the theme of the DLC which is Shepard is who his is because of all his friends, and that the DLC is all about this group.

Not only that but when Shepard offers him his hand, he says "Why, what do I have to live for?"  Because he doesn't have a crew like the real Shepard does.

As far as the DLC goes. I absolutely loved it. In my opinion, this should have been the ending, granted the EC endings are pretty good.

It was fun to play, loved seeing all the characters again. Out of all the DLC's this probably has the most replayability too because I'll always want to go back and see those characters again.

It's a fitting end to one of the greatest trilogies of all time. They've all earned their shore leave.

One part that disappointed me...no "We'll bang, okay" reference. It would have fit perect with the Miranda/Jack/sexual tension bit.

Really enjoyed the new Citadel dlc. Had loads of laughs about everything from sp and
Multiplayer jokes, now about fighting your own clone very disappointed with that, come on really
I think the T.I.M would have used him to distract the Alliance by using it!!!
Also not happy about not being able to unlock the Geth Spitfire AR as well!!!!

I haven't seen anyone remark on what, to me, was the point of the clone, and the reason why I loved them so much. When I created my Shepard's face six years ago, in my own average image, I felt I was casting an actor to play the leading role. I associate Mass Effect with that face. Mark Meer's voice sounds strange coming from any other, even the default.

So casting that same "actor", the one I cast six years ago as my avatar, as the villain of the piece was wonderful. It wasn't just a clone of Shepard, it was a clone of MY Shepard. Seeing that face twisted into a sneer, hearing my voice coldly tell my beloved Tali that he'd pull off her mask and cough in her face, worked brilliantly for me. It's a celebration and a subversion of everybody's unique protagonist. Not to mention, it's a loving homage to Star Trek and its Mirror Universe in a trilogy that works as one long homage in the first place.

As for the rest of the DLC, I thought it was excellent. I've never seen a game devote so much time to conversation and humour. Coupled with the friendship scenes in the original game and the goodbyes in London, it makes ME3 the best game in the series for character development and interaction, for me.

Thanks, BSN, for your assistance and guidance with the Citadel content. My Shepards were able to go on adorable dates with their LI's and one of them finally got to see Vega's hunky torso (*and* the new N7 tattoo). I was surprised by his mention of the Cortez relationship as I didn't know anyone else knew. I like that he and Cortez are bros and he wanted to make sure that Scottson treated Esteban right.

MY initial thought was that it was good. i think somewhat differently now. this DLC feels so out of place within the context of the tone of ME3 in general. i don't mind the shore leave part like some do. it's just too..."comical" to taker seriously. it feels like it doesn't belong. i'm aware that many think Bioware intended fans to 'headcanon" this as their post high EMS destroy ending. but i just doesn't work that way for me. i can only go with what i can see and hear not what i "wanted" to happen. the quality of this DLC is very good but i just can't see it having a place in any future playthroughs i may do. i'm glad others love it though.

In my whole life I have never laughed this much due to a game or DLC.
You have outdone your self BioWare- I was not sure what to expect when I first started but I could never dream of something better than this. It was not only the dialogues, but also the small moments that truly came through. The whole Wrex versus Grunt, Jack and Miranda becoming friends, Garrus and Zaeed arming the apartment, Javik ruling the galaxy and so many more moments and details.
It was nothing short of amazing. It was fun to follow and fun to play. I loved it :)

So has anyone run into any bugs as a result of this DLC? For some reason I'm able to scan, but not actually get anything from, the planet Bres in the Balor system of Caleston Rift. You're apparently only supposed to be able to scan and get resources from Bres if you have the Leviathan DLC. This is a bug I've never run into before. The only thing new about this playthrough is the fact that I now have the Citadel DLC, so I can only assume that it's because of it that this bug happened. Anyone else have this problem or similar?

I just beat Citadel. This is definitely one of the most brilliant pieces of game content in a very long time. Every single aspect was amazing. Completing Citadel has made me do one thing no other game has made me do...shed a tear. Beautiful work Bioware!

Just finished it, and gotta say...Bravo BW. THIS is what DLC is supposed to be. It was fun, had an interesting (albeit very predictable) story. (My canon Shep is a Femshep, and i use the bright red hair, so even in the garbled message i could tell it was me, and i knew from the start that Brooks was gonna betray me at some point).

Still, those minor grudges aside, it was still an awesome DLC. The dialogue was hilarious and entertaining, even the battle dialogue, or certain members complaining that you didnt take them along. I also enjoyed the smaller touches, like the dialogue about the Space Hamster while on the Normandy...i sat there and listened to every bit, and found it extremely amusing and entertaining.

And THANK YOU for finally showing some love to Renegade players. Those Renegade Interrupts were awesome. My favorite line was when Brooks broke free:

"Admit it Shepard, you will miss me"
BAAAM
"Not at this range I wont."

classic.

Well, haters gonna hate apparently. I had fun. Didn't take it seriously, it didn't seem to do so either. When I saw the trailer for it I thought it might be ex-corporal Tombs coming after you with his own band of mercs like he promised in ME2 beause you worked with Cerberus. Was mildly disappointed it was not, but then I'm not sure all play throughs would have had him.

The party was hillarious and for those upset that there was a party in the middle of a war, what the heck do they think all the people in Purgatory were doing the whole dang game?

The arena was fun, although it hung on the last round without spawning the last enemy a few times.

Edit: Oh yeah, totally called Brook working for the enemy before reaching the archives. Also, would've let clone shoot her and said fire all guns at that one. Kinda like my infiltrator would have capped Balak with the sniper rifle before he had a chance to speak in Bring Down The Sky. Ah well.

That's the point though, it's supposed to be out of place with the tone of ME3.  It's supposed to be shore leave and all the characters letting loose for a much needed vacation to clear their heads.

It makes more sense depending on when you play it too.  If you play it after Thessia when you're headed back to the Citadel anyways, it makes sense to have the Normandy getting repairs.

I have to say I really enjoyed this DLC, I felt it was just what the fan base needed, a goodbye to their characters. But for future games/DLC I feel they should be not quite so cheesy. It worked hear but it would be risky elsewhere

I have not been back to the forums since the release of this DLC. Partly because I was busy, but also because I wanted to finish my insanity playthrough with a Thane romanced Femshep and play through this DLC without spoilers. It was so worth it. The twists were handled well. The characters were believable even when cheesy. Garrus' dance was well animated. I have played through it five times, and am now eventually going to beat the game romancing Traynor. I look forward to it. There are so many little moments I can see as maybe feeling difficult to console considering the tone of the rest of the game, but it was just what was needed to offset the amount of depressing content in the game, imo. Thank you guys so much for your hard work!

I agree, I think the tone was perfect since the rest of the game is so dang depressing.  It was a much needed break from the doom and gloom.

Quite true - which both makes it hard to finish through the depressing doom and gloom ending and is causing many to headcannon the party as the ending. Basically what Bioware made it to be yet refused to implement it as.

I absolutely loved it. A must play for those with more than a vestigal sense of humour. I really enjoyed the character interaction that followed the plot section. Speaking the plot section the combat in the car sales emporium - set to some funky dance music was excellent - it could have come from a tarentino movie - reservoir dogs perhaps...

The twist with the clone was well done, not the most original - but then what is. May I say that the game with all the DLC in is a vastly improved experience from the plot point of view - all in all I rate it highly. Perhaps an argument could be made to include some of it in the main realease, perhaps with an appropriate price point for the amount of work involved: it may avoid ... future controversy!

Well done Bioware - I look forward to your next release.

Finally, the send-off our squad mates deserved.

Loved every second. Loved the clone mission, loved the party, loved the games, loved the apartment. Especially the party though - should have been the real ending to the game...

Whoever wrote Zaeed's arcade rant should get a medal.

Thank you Bioware
