Modding specific powers: How?

So I am going through the DA franchise again, preparing another set of multiple playthoughs in anticipation for DAIII and have one little quirk with some abilities.

For one that's the long cooldown for Heal spells and Potions.

The other one is the completely uselessness of "Pinpoint Strike". Any proper Rogue build will have close enough, if not outright, 100% critical chance! So I want to change the power from granting bonus to critical chance to granting bonus to critical damage instead, making it a worthwhile addition that's not going to sit around unused.


The question is, is it possible at all to change the power like that and if yes, how can I do so?

Guh, had the wrong power in mind. I meant "Pinpoint strike", not "Mark of Death". Still, same problem.

Okay, I got TLKEdit working, have pyGFF and GDApp. Opened DAII's abi_base.gda, found the "Pinpoint Strike" entry, but from here on I am at a loss. I don't see where the ability's effects are specified. I orginally thought I could just identify the critical chance line and change it to critical damage with the help of the item properties list, but there's no "1105" to see in any of the entries.


Need help please!
