Go with a team full of Geth for this one. A team with an engineer, infiltrator, juggernaut, and trooper is very platinum worthy. Team synergy is fantastic.

Just completed it on insanity but only got one commendation pack? I assumed completing the four on platinum would get you both packs?

Also, no banner yet. Aww. But looking forward to it when it comes.

Geth are the answer.

Juggernaut - particle rifle (eliminates ammo box runs) or reegar, melee everything and tank for the team, prime tech burst and fire explosions with Hex Shield, detonate with Siege Pulse and hammer the enemy from long range

Infiltrator - I prefer the Talon but any gun is awesome in his hands, debuff everything with proxy mines (also detonates fire explosions), scout for the team with Hunter Mode

Trooper - GPS for long range punch and stagger, skip hunter mode and act as the team's secondary tank, burn everything the juggernaut locks down

Engineer - full defensive turret spam to keep shield gate up, hunter mode and scout for the team, set off fire explosion with Overload

I'm not sure I understand how Operation Lodestar works. Do you have to complete it on Platinum? Or is that just optional?  It says insanity at the top of the page, but then...in N7HQ, it has the banner by Operation Lodestar Normal.  So, which is it?  I'm so confused.

Silver or higher. There's two versions - normal, and insanity.

They need to see the effectiveness of the new characters. See how they perform in non bronze games and especially plat. Get almost a full week of data to make any needed adjustment.

Do we have to personally survive the extraction to get credit? Or does a partial extraction still count for everyone on the team?

Sounds like me. I have been doing Gold pretty sucessfully for the last few days (just got back into the game) but I dunno about that Plat business.

Wait a sec. Can you do Lodestar twice - on Normal and Insanity, or is it one or the other?

I'm asking cause i'm accidentally done a gold extraction, and it counted towards Normal. Can I still do Insanity too?

I've never done platinum and don't think I will try now. Gold is frustrating enough as it is with players that get downed on wave 1. I'll stick to silver.

Yes

Why didn't the gift pack contain a new DLC character if the player hadn't unlocked them all?
I would have preferred a character rather than getting a promo weapon.

Same here did the insanity one but only got one pack, probaly a bug. Other then that I like this challenge gives me a chance to use my harrier IX on something worthy.
