...do the characters make it explicitly clear that you are still in the middle of a reaper war? Like do they reference it or do characters just keep quiet/vague about it.

Because if they never mention it, I'll act as if it were post DLC and do the final mission first. Because I like the ending and final mission, I want to go through it again, I just do not know if I should pretend the citadel DLC is post game because if this really is one final send off to the characters we love, it should be post game.
