Whadya think Cyonan, 5% less movement speed and 5% less damage reduction from the power?
That's what my money is on.
My predictions:
> Small reduction in either DR or Shield Regeneration.
> Massive buffs to Talon and DLC weapons.
> Everybody ignores the Talon/weapons and talks about Repair Matrix.
So much this.

Do you know how I got used to gold?
By not being terrible, that's how.
Graal spike thrower I with extended barrel III and spare ammo clip I on a krogan soldier and off I went.
The answer to not being good enough to play gold is not to dumb the game down and babysit terrible players, the answer is to become better at the game.

I mostly use RM for the passive buffs since I like not dying in the first place. I wish they could just remove the insta-revive and buff the passives a bit to compensate. Then she'd be just right.

How about fix it instead of nerf it.
You know what I'm talking about?
There is a bug, while your matrix is up you take millions of damage and get torn a new one.
It doesn't matter if you are being faced by one lowly trooper.
He starts firing and you start taking damage; he's stopped firing and you're taking damage as if a combat engineer just placed a damn turret under your rear.
Then you die.
Sure the matrix was loaded, and you get back up.
Unless your matrix is also suffering from the malfunction to activate bug.
Where you have it on, but you don't get up after being downed. And then after laying on the ground for a few mins it turns off. And you're like "why didn't it pick me up" and you bleed out.
Also, wtf, nerf it how.
Decrease the amount of time and shields it recovers when you first activate it?
Again... it needs a fix before a nerf. Because that bug eats them faster then they can regen.
On the note of fixing her. If you heavy mele somehting, your controlls lock up, you cant shoot, or skill, unless you prefom another heavy mele. Until you do, you are stuck only being able to run around.

Will disengage if TC is engaged, so if you want to keep it going, you will have to use it between every Cloak cycle.
Movement speed bonus behaves like Spitfire
To be fair, they should have made it an activated ability, with a cooldown... so you can't rely on it like the noobs do en masse. Making it run off grenades, for theoretically infinite revives is just.... asinine, to an extreme.
It's pretty clear that the devs consider ammo box respawn rates to be a fairly good way of controlling power levels... which I have found is strictly untrue when you get to the highest tiers in this game. As a result, they seem to think that cooldown powers are more powerful than grenade powers, huge mag sizes make up for crap damage/accuracy, and that the harrier and lolreegar are kept in check by their ammo reserves.
isn't like... 75% of the player base on bronze/silver though?
I doubt most of them have even the grenade capacity unlocked considering that the percentage of unlocking things is so small with the massive additions to the store since launch
Yes, 75% of the player base is on bronze/silver, and they will on average be able to get 1 extra grenade with gears, probably. However, I believe ammo box respawn rates are faster on those difficulties, and on bronze you get double grenades. You can get 6 grenades off of some of the boxes on Rio for heaven's sake. I never had grenade restock problems until I started playing gold.
lol... wut? 6 grenades?
you could give a bronze player a Wraith XX with a krogan vanguard and they would still find a way to bleed out.
Even with 10 grenade capacity, i don't see these being able to have the coordination to use their repair matrix before using up their only 2 medi-gels and getting stomped out.

Because anyone who knows how to use her to her potential knows that EDI is insanely powerful. RM gives bloodlust, fortification, and a movement speed bonus all on top of reviving the player if they go down... and they decided to put this power on an infiltrator.stefbomb wrote...
I don't understand why people hate her so much. I've seen so many BAAAAAD AIUs in gold pugs that I know for a fact that she's not the "I win lolz" class some people on BSN make her out to be.

There's always the danger of landing on Condor with UUG or UUP.

Yes I know she's insanely powerful (I easily top charts in plat with her) when used to her full potential, but apart from insta-res she doesn't have much more going for her than the TGI or GI, which are also insanely powerful.

What about Kroguard/Krontinel/Braguard/Jugg? All of them are easy mode kits.
AIU actually does not help people get used to gold, quite the contrary: she makes players careless and makes impossible for those players to play other classes on gold after that because they will keep dying all the time.

It is. Part of the learning curve of gold is knowing your limitations. A kit which has virtually no fear of dying as it gets right back up again is the definition of babysitting. Kroguard never dying and killing / moving slowly, is just the same as dying and getting right back up again as if nothing had actually happened whilst killing much quicker and moving much quicker.

instant-revive is a pretty big deal =P
The TGI and AIU are overpowered though because they have both top notch damage output as well as top notch survivability.
Compare that to the Kroguard who has top notch survivability but only top notch damage output with a specific weapon(which this is more the weapon's fault than the Kroguard's).

K, long as you recognize that other kits have the same "babysitting" capacity, its fine with me.

Agreed. Tanky characters should need to sacrifice something for their tanking abilties. The TGI and AIU get to have their cake and eat it; a luxury a lot of other kits cannot enjoy.

I used to play as an infiltrator a lot when I was a noob. When I got better, I realized that Infiltrators = Easymode. Hence I only use them on Platinum or when I am really bored or when I am pissed and want to rage.

how many freaking times do I have to say it? I hate playing with AIUs in part because it isn't an I win class. If it were, at least those useless randoms would contribute to the freaking DPS. Instead it just lets people be stupid and reckless, and if I'm playing a grenade class (which constitute 1/3rd of the classes in the game), they also actively hurt MY dps so they can do something they should be able to do anyway - SURVIVE.
And BTW, you should try learning what a number is. You could take out the insta-revive and her DPS would still be one of the highest in the game, not to mention she would still have insane survivability. If the devs give her any sort of buff to "balance" the nerf, then I will give up my usual defending of them and call them insane idiots.
