Repair Matrix nerf.

And I have been thinking to spec out of it completely and put point back into snap-freeze.
I figure the sooner the devs do the deed the sooner people will cease whingeing about AIU being OP.
So bring it.

Because you're probably correct.
Will be interesting to see how many people claim the kit is "useless" once its lost 5% movement speed and 5% DR.

Considering the OP is so happy that the Repair Matrix will be nerfed I'm going to guess that he gets topped a lot by this awesome kit while he doesn't even want to put some effort and taste the awesomeness of the kit. But well, there will always be people that just wont stop crying about something. I still can't realise why people want this nerf so much. It doesn't harm you in ANY way.. actually it's exactly the oposite, it makes the game a little bit easier for the team as a whole.
Yeah, I'm a noob, you guessed it.
It has nothing to do with the kit being brokenly OP; a baby-crutch that I don't find myself requiring.
The only infiltrator I play is QFI with predator.
Cry some more....
Being an internet badass won't make you less of a virgin though, true story.

I don't understand why people hate her so much. I've seen so many BAAAAAD AIUs in gold pugs that I know for a fact that she's not the "I win lolz" class some people on BSN make her out to be.
I mostly use RM for the passive buffs since I like not dying in the first place. I wish they could just remove the insta-revive and buff the passives a bit to compensate. Then she'd be just right.
how many freaking times do I have to say it? I hate playing with AIUs in part because it isn't an I win class. If it were, at least those useless randoms would contribute to the freaking DPS. Instead it just lets people be stupid and reckless, and if I'm playing a grenade class (which constitute 1/3rd of the classes in the game), they also actively hurt MY dps so they can do something they should be able to do anyway - SURVIVE.
And BTW, you should try learning what a number is. You could take out the insta-revive and her DPS would still be one of the highest in the game, not to mention she would still have insane survivability. If the devs give her any sort of buff to "balance" the nerf, then I will give up my usual defending of them and call them insane idiots.
Thanks for suggesting I learn about numbers. That never came up when I got my Applied Mathematics Ph.D.

Then you should realize that her DPS output is freaking ridiculous even without the survivability.
Go on, crunch those numbers. If you're a mathematician I'm sure you can handle it. I'll be waiting.

ETA: JUST NOTICED. Devs accomplished a multiplicative hit on the collector adept, by making it a damage taken thing. And notice that people think he's insanely squishy with ascension mode on. GI would still be more survivable with TC, but at least he would have actually been squishy if the shield hit had been an increase to damage taken instead.
Yeah, and the poor Geth Engi would be tossed out of the airlock for good. I'm afraid that might actually happen one day...

No, I and everyone I know agrees - the best way to be effective on gold is to be aggressive enough that everything dies before it can kill you. No such thing in my book. I just kill things

Because that's what's gonna happen, man
Actually, a nerf to the movement speed wouldn't be too bad already. I'm afraid it will be even worse. Not that I really care...

Lol, I don't even use grenade gear with the edi character, so they can remove repair matrix for all I care. No tears from me. TO just hates infiltrators so anything bad to that class is good for him.
I don't "hate" infiltrators.
I like balance.
There's a difference.

The only kit that can help new people get used to gold.. sigh..
Do you know how I got used to gold?
By not being terrible, that's how.
Graal spike thrower I with extended barrel III and spare ammo clip I on a krogan soldier and off I went.
The answer to not being good enough to play gold is not to dumb the game down and babysit terrible players, the answer is to become better at the game.
krogan vanguard + geth + reegar
AIU is hardly babysitting
It is. Part of the learning curve of gold is knowing your limitations. A kit which has virtually no fear of dying as it gets right back up again is the definition of babysitting. Kroguard never dying and killing / moving slowly, is just the same as dying and getting right back up again as if nothing had actually happened whilst killing much quicker and moving much quicker.
It's funny, but for me, gold was all about gaining the confidence to play aggressivly. I actually had a capture of myself when I first started playing gold, and I watched it. I was constantly in cover just popping up to cast or shoot. I didn't die the whole match, but ended up only making 46k.
now i may get dropped a couple times a match, but my score will be within 20k of top, if not top with good players and much higher in most pugs. When I first went into gold, i was so worried about getting dropped that I thought it was better to contribute less as long as i didn't die.
It completly goes against what all you guys say, but I didn't get gold viable until i stopped worrying about dieing.
No, I and everyone I know agrees - the best way to be effective on gold is to be aggressive enough that everything dies before it can kill you. However, realizing that is only the first step in being effective on gold, after you start trying to do that there's this dead zone where you're just dead constantly, and then you learn how to be aggressive intelligently and safely.
Thus my main complaint about AIU - it lets you be aggressive without learning the skills and tricks to do so safely, thus allowing you to get away with BS and never learn to play the game well.
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that putting something between you and bullets, while maintaining your mobility is a good thing. Be honest. Gold and higher is nothing more than controlling spawns, and having enough skill or coordination to deal with them. I mean serious, you can missle all teh things and cake walk through gold or plat if you want.
I know you are a good player and may not agree with me, but I am just going by my experience. No disrespect intended.

The only things that have been ruined in this game so far:
Krysae,
Pet powers
These two have been rendered worse than when they started in a significant fashion. All else is so slight it becomes meaningless.

Of course it is, I never said differently. But what I *did* say is that her DPS potential is not higher than the TGI or GI, which is a fact.

I do not really care about the to nerf or not to nerf question, but where does this quote of Eric actually come from? Because to me the buff part of this post seems to be more important... buffs for a couple other weapons and powers... that sounds very good!Eric Fagnan wrote...

It's a little ridiculous that the bot can fall down and stand back up immediately as many times as it takes for the player to finally escape the horrible situation they were silly enough to get themselves stuck in.
If Repair Matrix was limited to one, maybe two revives per match or at LEAST only one revive per wave, and the shield restore wasn't so danged powerful (or ceased functioning while the bot was cloaked) I wouldn't have much of a problem with it.
Oh but Bioware, don't you touch my Cain Mines!
Buff the bow if you want to, I'd greatly appreciate it. But if this is one of those "giveth with one hand..." kinda deals then I'll pass.
You leave my mini-nukes alone!

Commence with the crying.
Both with it being nerfed and with it not being nerfed hard enough(Though you've already beaten me to that one =P)
Whadya think Cyonan, 5% less movement speed and 5% less damage reduction from the power?
That's what my money is on.
Will disengage if TC is engaged, so if you want to keep it going, you will have to use it between every Cloak cycle.
Movement speed bonus behaves like Spitfire
To be fair, they should have made it an activated ability, with a cooldown... so you can't rely on it like the noobs do en masse. Making it run off grenades, for theoretically infinite revives is just.... asinine, to an extreme.
Note I dont care about repair matrix getting nerfed one way or another. But I disagree with your logic here. You forget noobs dont have Grenade Capacity V like the rest of us. you know, a lot of people have a life to live. They play casually. They suffer RNG.
I remember when I was working my way up I wanted Grenade 5 forever+++ for my Demolisher.
To me its just bad form to base any argument on rare+ gear.
