Honestly I don't know why most AIUs even bother with snap freeze...

I don't "assume" anything. I've watched plenty of them.

They cast it, fire  their gun once or twice, cast it again, and repeat... repeat far more times than are necessary.

25% weapon damage from the passive skill, 25% weapon damage after a heavy melee kill from fitness, damage and shotgun damage bonuses from cloak... all of that does a lot more damage than just snap freeze and the shotgun by itself.

Probably a small minority that does it and/or just inexperienced. I mean.... i saw a AIU with the black widow without snap freeze....

I do like the whole "Cake Icers" (or what was it? it was clever)

Fitness ain't for the health/shield bonuses. It's for the melee damage and the big, fat, substantial weapon damage bonus that, when stacked with other weapon damage bonuses, rather outclasses the weakening effects of the snap freeze.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the lightning quick melee that does way more damage than a Krogan's :?

Skipping snap freeze makes sense.

Thats what I'd do if I was cheap enough to use such a broken character.

Snap Freeze is a sucky detonator.

Multiple targets. Not so sucky.

.. Detonator.

The explosion is centered on yourself.

Since You are in their faces anyways that doesn't matter much

Meh, it's personal preference. The 10% Extra Damage is nice and the amour debuff, isn't too useful due to piercing mods but can help out team mates and whatnot. Plus SF is my swarmer/husk killer

Because there's no reason to put points into her Fitness unless you want a melee build.

Tac Cloak: Melee, Damage, Bonus Power
Snap Freeze: Reach, Cryo Explosion, Damage/Weakness
Repair Matrix: Survivability, Duration, Enhanced Repair Matrix
Unshakled AI: Weapon Damage, Headshots, Weapon Damage

Kal Reegar Carbine X: Armor/Ammo

Shock Trooper V, Incendiary IV, Adrenaline III, Targeting VI III or Shotgun III

Use Cloak, Snap Freeze, Shotgun, Reload, Repeat -- Your damage + reload will mean that your Cloak will recharge the very second you finish reloading, at no point will you have to wait for powers before you need to start recharging. Adrenaline ensures you can run around the map getting grenades so quickly that you will have repair matrix up 24/7. Its not the highest DPS class in the game, but its the most survivable. The Geth Infiltrator is still the best when done right.

Yesterday, one of my buddies and I duo'd Platinum, London, Reapers. My setup on the AIU was as follows:

-Piranha-Heavy Barrel-Smart Choke
     -Incendary IV Ammo
     -Cyclonic IV
     -Targeting VI III
     -Shotgun Rail Amp V

I used snap-freeze for crowd control / stun and to detonate fire explosions on primed targets. Worked really well. The Armour weakening Evo was especially useful when coupled with the Incendary Ammo. It was a lot of fun. BTW tac-cloak bonus on snap freeze on armour is amazing.

My buddy was using the Drell Assassin equipped with a Javelin. So long as we maintained a set interval we wrecked everything. He took down enemies at range, while I delt with close encounters.Image IPB

Agreed with OP. Snap freeze is mostly useless on this character. This isnt a debuff kit anyway. This is a high DPS kit. If you want debuff go with volus engineer. Besides snap freeze even when maxed is still pretty weak. Especially since you cannot selfdetonate it anyway unlike paladin.

The GI is a "high DPS" kit, should all GI's skip proximity mine then because he isn't a "debuff" kit?

Thats a fair question but Proxy mine unlike snap freeze is actually useful and it wont require detonating plus it increases damage from all sources to the target.

And yet you're cheap enough to spam every vaguely related infiltrator topic with the same complaints over & over & over. Does anyone on this board even care? Probably not
