Some of my tactics seem to be working (like abilities spam on the right time as configuration demands) but for example if i put a max priority on a line like: "self: Health < 30% -------use: lesser health poultice". The toons wont use it, is it bugged, do i need to activate at least one of the Combat Tactics slot? Because its kinda annoying to switch all the time for them to not die....
Thank you in advance for the eventual replies

Keep in mind that the tactics turn themselves off for whichever character you are currently controlling, so you might be watching their health bar and switch over to heal them before it actually reaches the threshold where they do it themselves. That last little bit of health on a mage or Rogue can disappear in a second or two if you're not careful anyway, so try setting the threshold to < 50%.

It might just be that they're being killed before getting the chance to take the poultice, try a higher percentage although I usually only set healing potions for particularly hard boss battles such as High Dragons or Gaxkang.

I'm not sure from your post, but is your health setting the first one in the tactics list? The AI starts at the top of the list, goes down until it meets the conditions in one of the bars and performs the action (unless it's on cooldown), and then goes back to the top of the list. Each and every time. So if the healing line is number 12, for example, they may simply not be getting to it in time. So your most crucial settings need to be at the top of the list. In fact, the whole tactics list must be prioritised.

If you knew that, and it was at the top, please ignore my post. :-)

thx for all the tips and replies, i got the problem solved, first of all yes was on top priority, as it is for me crucial to keep them alive, with healing and potions. The problem seemed to be that i was working with them as a group, comanding them all at the same time to do something, meaning, they almost didnt have self control, i started to use just main character instead of group and now it works like a glove. again ty very much for the tips and atention guys.
Salutations!

I've also found that if you have the entire party selected, for concentrating damage or movement, it will turn off the AI as if you had them all individually selected.

That's because you do ... sorta ... have them all ... er ... individually selected ... simultaneously ... ?

You need to select the entire group, turn on "party hold", tell the group to attack a singe target, then select a single character.

That way you can focus your party's damage yet the AI will use potions, etc. as you have set it to.

OR:

As part of your tactics you can have them all attack the target of the controlled party member.

I personally do not recommend that as I often find myself focusing three party members on one enemy while the character I control attacks a different one.

I would also recommend this mod:
