Where is there a Bioware Points sale?  When will there be a Bioware Points sale?

Please report here if you find a Bioware Points sale.

The last time PC gamers (at least in Europe) got a discount on EA DLC was...

Yeah, I´ll get back to you on that. (And no, Bioware Points sales back when BP were still converted at a $1=€1 rate doesn´t count) Have been waiting for one for years. It´s probably not that they hate us, they just ignore us. Rather that we pirate it than sell it at a discount, apparently. (Though I don´t pirate and don´t advocate it, either). Steam and pretty much any other online PC games store have proven that discounts are essential to selling your product. I think EA has just forgotten about BP altogether.

I had heard from several sources about a Bioware Points sale just a little over a year ago. I had also heard that there is typically a sale shortly after a Bioware game finishes its DLC run, in this case Mass Effect 3. These sales are typically very difficult to notice, since they are deliberately hidden.

Subscribe to this thread and then please post here with the location if you find a sale so that everyone can benefit. This thread will be the repository of Bioware Points sale information.

Two years ago, about. Since then, Microsoft has had a sale on about every ME3 and ME2 DLC. Wish Bioware would realise that we are not all pirates here on PC, and some of us want to support Bioware, but at a equal rate with the consoles.

I believe there has been one sale or promotional window for BioWare points in the whole history of BioWare points.

If you're waiting for another, you may be waiting a good long time.

I do not intend to purchase any of the DLC until I can receive a price markdown of at least 50%. I can accept never buying the DLC.

A sale? That would really come a long way. Lots of publishers do it, lots of other venues offer it.
When DLC's are priced as high as $15.- I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the publisher to at least offer a sale from time to time.Either make the DLC's cheaper or make special offers for Bioware points.

I had been thinking of buying the two latest DLC's but I think they are just too damn expensive that way.

I do use Steam, and quite like it. Indeed, I was extremely disappointed that ME3 was not offered on Steam. I will continue to use ME and ME2 on Steam, though.

Breaking my apparently-not-quite-as-eternal-silence-as-I'd-planned here, but, a google search for "do bioware points ever go on sale" brought me here.

I'd kill for a bioware points sale. I haven't bought any of the ME3 story dlc and I'd really like to, but it all comes out to nearly the price of a whole new game. And let's be honest, even if the dlc is really good, it's not worth the price of an entire game in total.

I don't think they realize, if they just put things on sale once in a while, they'd make more money. Hell, look at steam. I have a massive backlog of games that I'm honestly not sure I'll ever play all the way through, just because they were insanely cheap. It may seem like an initial hit to mark down prices a lot, but the volume of people who will jump on the deal more than makes up for it.

TL;DR: EA/BioWare makes me sad.

Your example is precisely why I included many mentions of 'Bioware Points Sale' in this thread. I do not intend to purchase any DLC until there is a Bioware Points Sale, and I was hoping that people looking for a Bioware Points Sale, or who had found a Bioware Points Sale, would come to this thread and subscribe.

I have been patrolling Origin these past few days and not seen any Bioware Points Sale so far. However, it is important to understand that Bioware Points Sales have tended to be well hidden: that is, there will be no advertisements, you might only see them on the confirm purchase page, they might be confined to certain geographic areas, and they might not even be on Origin.

The guys over at r/gamedeals tend to be pretty vigilant regarding sales but I cant remember when I saw the last Bioware Point sale thread. I dont understand EA sales anyway. The ME sale is going on Origin right now, and they left out ME1, the only one I am missing digitally (you know, in case my CDs broken, code is stolen, etc)

"Bioware Points on sale"

hahaha, nope. Bioware point has NEVER EVER been on sale since dragon age origin dlc was released.
Kinda pathetic they won't do sale even though it's the anniversary of their greatest game series.

They wouldn't put any kind of sale on now anyway, four days removed from Citadel's release.

On the other hand, yesterday I saw on Origin that they had some kind of Mass Effect sale.

BW Points go on sales like once in a year MAX. And usually just because someone at EA made an error lol. Not looking good, you will just need to check the forums regularly, whenever any sales happens, someone always posts about it

So BioWare points still aren't on sale, but with the current Origin sale, you can get Pinnacle Station and From Ashes (via the Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade) for 50% off.

I just can't believe how much the DLC even for Mass Effect 2 works out at here in the UK, never mind Mass Effect 3. It seems remarkable that you can get the disc version for about £3.50 thesedays, but the additional episodic content costs a heck of a lot more. And of course, the price doesn't drop because no other store (Amazon, Steam, etc.) is allowed to sell it. There is no competition.

I love the ME series, but I'd rather just spend that kind of money on other games.  From Amazon, Steam... in fact pretty much anywhere except anti-competitive and pricey Origin.
