The DLC costs more than the core game. Why should we pay more for less content?

I have not been able to answer that question in a way that will persuade me to buy the ME3 DLC.

Here I was hoping for a Black Friday sale and while plenty of games and DLCs are on sale on Origin, including the Mass Effect games themselves, still no discount on Mass Effect DLCs or Bioware Points....

Exactly!!

For me it's simple (but I don't like it).
I won't buy next game titles with microtransactions in it and now I won't buy games using bioware points to sell (in-)game stuff.

I accept that making games is a business (not bad in itself). Then again, bioware and ea have to accept losing a customer. That's part of the business, too.

OT:
No wonder the gaming industrie is staggering the last couple of years. And in these years there were a lot of business decisions done by sales managers and not game loving developers.

If gaming (or parts of it) dies than that isn't the result of mobile/social/whatever gaming getting popular. It's simply because gamers being constantly pissed of (microtransactions, day one story dlcs, always online, subscriptions and a lot of other nice stuff). Thanks for screwing up our hobby (ok, maybe a little overdramatized ;-) )

Yeah, I haven't seen a Bioware point sale since the Witch Hunt DLC for Dragon Age Origins came out. That was 2-3 years ago? Bioware sure doesn't put them on sale often though.

Not a sale, but I just noticed that the Gamespot(Impulse) client is now selling the Bioware DLCs for Mass Effect 2 and 3 (http://www.impulsedr...s/ESD-IMP-W4822 - just search Bioware in the store for the others).

Hopefully there is a better chance that they might go on sale over there instead of relying on EA to ever do so.
