What is your best weapon(s) in Dragon Age?

There are plenty of good longswords and some good 2H weapons...by the Landsmeet or just after you'll be swimming in them if you do all the side quests.



Early game: 1H Ser Garlen's sword until Oathkeeper becomes available in Lothering.

The Edge (T6 dagger) is nice too.



Later: Asturian's Might (1H) or Starfang (1H/2H) from Warden's Keep DLC. Cheese Knife from Shale's DLC. Deygan's axe is pretty good too.



Later still: Keening Blade (1H), Topsider's Honor (1H), Thorn of the Dead Gods, Rose's Thorn (the last two are both daggers). Bloodline and Aodh (1H axes)



What do you *really* want? As in, what type of weapon?

Ye, its alot of great weps to use indeed. I dual wield Starfang and Keening Blade as one of my sets, other set is 2x The Veshialle, pretty nice when both have 3 sockets, enchanted with 11 shock dmg on each axe

I like Ageless, it has a very interesting look with the winged blade and you can also get 2 rune slots on it, plus the messy kills seems to give you a few unique kill moves.



That and Staff of the Magister Lords, the perfect mages staff.
