Thanks to the surprise challenge this morning, before going to work, I thought I'd test the waters and jump into platinum for the first time. Hosted all unknown and jumped right in with my hurricane/executioner Cabal. Never done it before so I was just curious. About halfway through the first round I find myself running from a grumpy mob of cerbs. Thinking myself a slick one, I poison dash my way to that lower level to buy myself some time. An engineer tending to his pet turret and had other ideas. I went down hard. As the timer was running down, I considered just letting it go and running back with my tail between my legs, but said engineer wanted to add insult to injury by stomping me. Indignantly, I got back up, shot him once with the executioner and poison rushed through him and then the nearest wall and up that ladder to the ammo crate. From there I faired a little better and somehow managed to finish the first wave without much fuss (Did have to heal up once, but not a second revive).
Second wave found me doing laps around the map and counting my lucky stars as my cabals various poisons took their effect. It was taking a while, however and I came to the conclusion I'd have to get going to work soon or miss out on real life money (not good) when a jugg joined the match. He drew a lot of Agro, and I helped as best I could. We got the second wave down.
Wave three was the real bonus, and asari and a drell joined up and we managed to make it all the way to full extraction. I still had two revives left and 3 missiles. When I get home I can't wait to try again.
