I don't see why people feel that the fact that Tali apparently used lines from the movie in her ME2 romance to be "cheapening" it some how. First off, the only two things she stole were the line about "wanting to feel your skin against mine", and the part about seeing pas her helmet. Secondly, it makes a lot of sense considering that would be the first time Tali had been in a relationship, and thus the only place she would have learned romantic things to say would come from that movie, which is frankly adorable.

Agreed. Seems on-par to me with Ashley letting her favorite poems speak for her.

For me it is awful. They could have created something beautiful and memorable like Leliana's song but this is more or less only shrieking, which people will forget.

If it shall be funny, then they should have shown that the glass panels of the apartment break to bits.

It's better that she's not a good singer. Good singers don't mind singing in front of people, but an awful singer will only do it with people they really trust. If she sang well then it's just a song; this is a character moment.

Plus, she's a dork. Quoting her favorite movie. That gets major bonus points.

It actually made me cry like a little baby.

This was the moment that I realized Mass Effect was over. At this point it hit me, that the trilogy was done and we will never see these characters again.

Totally unexpected at first, leaving me embarrassed lol. But as she went on I started to smile and chuckle. When ahe finished, admittedly, I shed a tear or two.

just watched it again and the only thing that could have made the scene better was a renegade interrupt in which shep commenced to sex tali up.

I will admit though, when she stood up and started I definitely panicked, thinking Shepard would start singing too. Then he just stared at her for a bit and the appropriate dialogue wheel came up: You are too cute.

Everyone know that Tali is a Geek. That is part of the reason we love her and Talimancers even more so. And That is why even cringe worthy stuff gets oddly cute.

I spoiled myself on it because of all the talk about it all around the gaming 'net. And it was indeed cute. This was just like getting a self-sung mix-tape from one girlfriend long ago; or that voicemail I got from one girlfriend mid-day on my birthday when she recorded a breathy Marilyn Monroe style song for me. That was awesome, heh. This scene shows Tali is completely comfortable with Shep...and that he like those of us in the real world has to watch chick flicks to keep the peace.

Yeah but I've had that song (I Was Lost Without You) on the ipod for awhile now, and as far as I remember the only part that's ever played in-game is the beginning piano part, not the second part where the strings kick in. So I was glad I got to hear it.

and I mean that in the best possible ways. Nerdy!Tali is great in every sense, I always liked when she and Kaidan nerd it up over omnitools. I don't even romance Kaidan and if he is around, I'll bring him just for that.
