Sure it was unexpected but the game needed some cuteness-relief. 

first and foremost, i am a talimancer. that being said, she sounded like 2 cats that hate eachother getting their tails tied together, and thrown over a clothesline. my ears still hurt and i was gagging the whole time. one of the most embarrassing things i have ever seen. i wanted a renegade interupt asking her to never do that again.

People are confusing the singing being bad (which was intentional) with the scene itself being bad. You cannot say she wouldn't do something like that, it completely fits her character. ****, we do that all the time - we've memorized half the game script far as I can tell.

If you are bothered that much by a girl singing a song to her boryfriend, in a cute way, I really can't help but think you are acting like a snotty know it all.

Tell me Kiwi, are you a Talimancer? Because IIRC, you said you take pleasure in letting the Quarians die over Rannoch (Tali included).

Keep in mind Tali was singing to her boyfriend, well if she was your LI, so it was meant to be a sweet moment. I think Talimancers that really love her character enjoyed the scene, like I have stated the only negative I can take from it is no face.

Not trying to knock down anyone on how much they like Tali, sorry if my comment come out like that. I mean that we like her for her character and even if the scene wasn't what you wanted we shouldn't act like Tali is embarrassing now, no relationship won't have awkward moments at some point, I didn't mind the scene but that is how I see it.

Scene was awesome. I got the standard Tali-Friendzone one myself.
And yeah... if you haven't had a girlfriend *at least younger ones*  or a spouse break out into an awkward lady-song, then you haven't been in love =)    Or you never gravitated towards women who would down a couple drinks now and then.

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised at how many people disliked the scene. Granted, if you just looked it up on Youtube or had it for a playthrough where you happened to romance Tali (not necessarily because you wanted to) then yeah, I guess I could see why you wouldn't have like it. But for people that romanced Tali because they actually wanted to romance Tali? I'm surprised. I thought the scene was great and it fit her character well. The "sing-along mode" line maybe was a little overkill, but it wasn't too bad.

Do it really be so crucial though? The writers attempted to be cute and failed. It was awkward all right, and weird, but in a horrible way. Frankly speaking, that scene was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen in my life. Sh*t was bad fanfic.

Every single discussion on the BSN is opinion based.

The only people I see whining about a scene that was deliberately cheesy (Like the rest of the DLC), are the people that didn't romance Tali.

I stated below your post what I meant but I also want to add that a few of these comments are just straight up rude, Tali is voiced by a actual person with feelings. Saying the scene was creepy and should of had a interrupt choice is kinda harsh, I understand if a Talimancer didn't like the scene but a few of these comments make it seem they thought Tali herself was creepy and embarrassing and that makes me wonder how much they actually like the character.
Cheesy and awkward is alright, creepy and I wanted to make her stop don't seem very good.

I was half-kidding when I wrote that I bet people don't even understand I'm joking 800% of the time, but it really isn't something I'd ever do.

I haven't actually witnessed the scene, but I mean, I doubt it can be any worse than the rest of the DLC. I do have problems with the the undertones of all BioWare romances the Jackmance, but generally speaking, I think it progresses well enough...and if there's one thing Courtenay Taylor is good at, it's pulling off really awful lines and making them sound great.
