Agreed. The only thing that was missing was a true face reveal. Another perfect oppurtunity wasted. :(

The ending to the scene is a bizarre touche moment. On the one hand you have this great line from the musical about "I don't need to see you without the mask because I know who you are" meta-moment.

But on the other hand, that line makes a whole lot more sense if we - you know - haven't seen her face. But we have and it was done poorly, which is a separate problem from what her face looks like.

Nevertheless, I never expected a face reveal here, nor am I sure it would have felt completely right. Either they do it when she takes her mask off on Rannoch or leave it as a pic.

first and foremost, i am a talimancer. that being said, she sounded like 2 cats that hate eachother getting their tails tied together, and thrown over a clothesline. my ears still hurt and i was gagging the whole time. one of the most embarrassing things i have ever seen. i wanted a renegade interupt asking her to never do that again.

You are a terrible Talimancer..

No one's telling you to believe she sang well. That verdict is in.

A lot of people were mocking it.

It was one of a few "wtf" Moments, but I was laughing at it because it was just so unexpected, and almost cheesy.

Speaking of Cheese, she almost killed herself eating human cheese while drunk.

She could sing to me all day. A bit unexpected, also unnecessary Face reveal tease. A little more conversation would have been nice as well. "Its straight"

It made me cringe so hard that I think I pulled a muscle but I'm perfectly okay with it. It wasn't out of character for her and I think it suited the Tali romance in general perfectly fine.

If you romance Tali you should be used to False Face reveal teasing by now. It's the character team deliberatley torturing you

I stopped caring a long time ago

Actually, I never cared to begin with., Not even that they used the getty images picture, I was satisfied what they chose her appearance to look like even if it was just a picture

Also, I couldn't help but notice that both Mordin and Tali both have awkward silences after they sing, I lol'd.
*in the sense that after they stop, they just stare at you in silence until you say something*

It was only cringy the first time because it was so unexpected - it sort of flew out of nowhere and hit you, there was no time to prepare. Subsequent times however, it really isn't too bad.

People have to consider that Ash Sroka is not a professional singer - she was never going to sound amazing. If you expected her to sound like Whitney Houston then no wonder you're disappointed. For someone who isn't a singer, I honestly didn't think she sounded that bad. People are just blowing this way out of proportion.

Yeah I don't want Tali OD'ing in a bathtub, but it was way too corny and weird and awkward. Certainly for a "We are all gonna die" last intimate scene.

I think it's probably better that she wasn't a great singer. That she's willing to do this in front of Shepard despite probably knowing she's not that good a singer speaks volumes about how comfortable she is with him.

The scene is just undeniably cute. Then again, I'm probably biased towards things featuring Tali being cute. They could've had a scene showing Tali taking out the garbage and it would still have been cute.

I have now seen this with my Shep and liked it as before. And now I've seen that there other nods to the relationship in the DLC.  James fishes for details about it when invited.  Tali during a toast to the Normandy states out loud she also fell in love with the commander.  And then waking up the next hungover morning in bed with Shep. And probably other stuff depending on variables. A very satisfying dlc for extra moments in addition to the song.

This wasn't that scene. The scene at the FOB is that scene. And frankly, the way Tali's "I want more time" and "I have a home" manages to rip my heart to shreds every single time I see it, I'm glad we didn't get another scene like that.

Tali can sing for me any time. I might even join her (in which case we can have a "who's the worst singer" contest Posted Image).

My Shepard would need a lot more ryncol.

Geez I don't exactly consider myself a critic of people's singing, real or fictional people, but I thought she was pretty good despite the whole scene being out of the blue.

She couldn't have been that bad, better than Mordin... Lol,

After watchin it on youtube I was like a... what the **** just happened.

Good things about romances in ME were that they felt most of the time natural by the choice and occasion, but this was akward, stupid and forced... instead of doing what Talimancers asked for - one 3D face model of Tali, Talimancers get the Quarian fleet looking for superstar edition.

Ah, man. I knew there would be plenty of people disappointed at the Tali scene, especially on the BSN. I must say, though, that I thought it was ludicrously adorable. I know it's been regurgitated a bunch of times in this thread alone, but Tali is inherently awkward and prone to do or say odd things to a romanced Shepard. I don't know about everyone else reading this, but I remember my first relationship pretty well. It was full of awkward crap not terribly unlike this.

I'm not a great singer by any stretch of the imagination, but that doesn't stop me from singing along to Mumford & Sons or MGMT or whathaveyou when I'm in the car with my girlfriend or any of my other good friends. I'm comfortable with them, just like Tali is comfortable with Shepard.

We are all fangirls/fanboys of Mass Effect, which is the main reason we're all here. Tali is an in-universe fangirl of Fleet and Flotilla, and she's comfortable enough with Shepard to have a bit of a fangirl outburst. Her love of the film is especially appropriate, too, considering the context of the subject matter, no matter the outcome of Tali/Shep. Either she's involved with Shepard or she's involved with Garrus, a cross-species romance with a hard-nosed soldier-type.

It was totally cheesy and campy, just like the rest of ME3: Citadel, and I'm 100% OK with that. It's not for everyone, sure, but as a spiritual send-off to Tali/Shep and the Shepard arc of Mass Effect in general, it felt good to have the kind of moment every day people might have, Reaper war notwithstanding. A breath of normalcy, if not a bit awkward, in an otherwise ludicrous galaxy.

Keelah se'lai, Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.

Hm, almost forgot. Totally nitpicking here, but the writers must not have bothered to go back to ME2's script to fact check the name of Tali's combat drone. She mentions it once or twice in Citadel, and both times the subtitles say (and it sounds like it's pronounced) "Chatika" rather than "Chiktikka". Minor detail, sure, but I still found it a little sloppy.

From a love- and trust perspective, Its a very good sign when someone trusts you enough to risk such an total embarrassment. Especially when you can accept such an cringe-worthy outburst from that person and enjoy it for what it is, and the person for who she/he is. No one is perfect and we all have our... less cool sides.

Trust me when I say that I clearly understood the whole ordeal in its context ( I've been married for 15 years now ). Didn't make it any less cringe worthy.

I can respect if people would have preferred something else. So long as we all agree it's in character and makes sense for the romance.

Never saw anyone complaining about Mordin singing last time I checked.

It's in-character, so it's fine.
