Ah, man. I knew there would be plenty of people disappointed at the Tali scene, especially on the BSN. I must say, though, that I thought it was ludicrously adorable. I know it's been regurgitated a bunch of times in this thread alone, but Tali is inherently awkward and prone to do or say odd things to a romanced Shepard. I don't know about everyone else reading this, but I remember my first relationship pretty well. It was full of awkward crap not terribly unlike this.
I'm not a great singer by any stretch of the imagination, but that doesn't stop me from singing along to Mumford & Sons or MGMT or whathaveyou when I'm in the car with my girlfriend or any of my other good friends. I'm comfortable with them, just like Tali is comfortable with Shepard.
We are all fangirls/fanboys of Mass Effect, which is the main reason we're all here. Tali is an in-universe fangirl of Fleet and Flotilla, and she's comfortable enough with Shepard to have a bit of a fangirl outburst. Her love of the film is especially appropriate, too, considering the context of the subject matter, no matter the outcome of Tali/Shep. Either she's involved with Shepard or she's involved with Garrus, a cross-species romance with a hard-nosed soldier-type.
It was totally cheesy and campy, just like the rest of ME3: Citadel, and I'm 100% OK with that. It's not for everyone, sure, but as a spiritual send-off to Tali/Shep and the Shepard arc of Mass Effect in general, it felt good to have the kind of moment every day people might have, Reaper war notwithstanding. A breath of normalcy, if not a bit awkward, in an otherwise ludicrous galaxy.
Keelah se'lai, Tali'Zorah vas Normandy.
Hm, almost forgot. Totally nitpicking here, but the writers must not have bothered to go back to ME2's script to fact check the name of Tali's combat drone. She mentions it once or twice in Citadel, and both times the subtitles say (and it sounds like it's pronounced) "Chatika" rather than "Chiktikka". Minor detail, sure, but I still found it a little sloppy.
