I have to say it was a FANTASTIC DLC. I never expected me to laugh out loud at it, but I did on many occasions. Go to the bar on the strip after the main missions are over and look for Joker's story. It's incredible. And Javiks event is amazing too, I won't spoil that. It's one of the best scenes in the game tbh.

Yeah, the DLC is pretty cheesy. But in a very good way. They consistently make fun of all the little things that people have laughed about in the game, like Shepard's dancing and 'I should go', Garrus' calibrations, and other stuff. So much content and its so damn good.

thanks for the info. Apparently you dont get a private scene with her like you do with other characters like kaidan or jack or miranda though and it may be due to a bug. Do you know about that? And last can you do everything after the main story or do you have to do thinga at certain times

Nah not talking about the party, if you go to the terminal in apartment there are 3 options, invite (or something like that) standard messages, and party invitations. Last one is you picking who you want for the party and starting it. First one is you picking an individual (Say Tali or Vega) and you talk to them one-on-one. Every LI except for Ash has one of these talks and some people who aren't like Vega and an unromanced Tali can be called up too.

I guess technically Ash's might not even exist, but I'm being a bit more optimistic (and probably more practical) thinking it's just glitched.

I don't know about that. I think it MIGHT be bugged since apparantly some people got something but I'm yet to see a YouTube video of it. 

I loaded the game on the Pre-Cronos save so I'd done just about everything possible. I am going to try it out again however starting at the end of the Citadel Coup. 

I can tell you that the main story is one solid block like Omega, and after that's done is all the character interations which I presume you can do at any time onwards before Cronos. 

I think the DLC does have some bugs though, it seems you can meet up with a bunch more characters but they don't show up on the map, or most of them dont and you have to find them yourselves. I also think you can invite a bunch more character to the apartment but either I don't know how or its bugged
(this is before, minor spoliers, the party event, which closes the DLC content)

I don't think its a bug. The ones you can invite up are ones you cannot meet in the Sunset Strip.

Basically, everyone has a scene, some are invite and some are on the strip. Ashley's is on the strip. I liked that scene, it was funny. That's just how it goes.


So really there's nothing to worry about. Ashley's content is good, I enjoyed it, especially the Casino infiltration date, she was hilarious in that.

I dunno, Jack, Sam and Miranda all have 2 scenes each, one on the strip and one in the apartment.

I don't think so. Her content must be bugged. I was able to invite Miranda and meet with her in the Casino. Same goes for Cortez. I invited him and then met him at the Citadel. It has to be a damn bug.

Damn it, BioWare. Fix it, I want scene with my LI :|


Oh, that reminds me of something. I couldn't invite Jack and Garrus, as well. Damn bugs.

I would of preferred being able to invite her up if that is the case, but I do like the final scenes when you are looking out on the Normandy, great Ashley scene and also a bittersweet goodbye of sorts.

I still have small hope that you can invite her up/please be bugged etc

I kinda hope that wasn't it, it wasn't bad by all means, but its conpletely overshadowed by all the other ones, its fairly mediocre compared to theirs.

The bar scene as a whole is fine and pretty funny. What sucks is that the romanced version is barely any different and is essentially interchangeable with the non-romanced version (how exciting, a whole extra line!).

Everything else was actually surprisingly nice (the snark/banter when she rescues you, the flirting at the start of the casino/her distractions of the guards, the genuinely nice dialogue waking up from the party/during the goodbye). Overall, I'm pleased, but I have to admit I'm disappointed the one specific Ashley/Shepard scene is basically the same whether you romanced her or not.

It's been confirmed on twitter by Gamble. The bar scene is THE scene with Ashley. If you romanced her, a couple lines of dialogue is different, but it's just playful flirting. It's not romantic or sweet like the rest of the squadmates.

Ugh, figures my Canon LI would be the one to get the "few more lines" route rather than the blowout ones like the others. Then again I'm still happy cuz she referenced the relationship throughout the DLC so I'll be fine.

I already knew the reference, which was funny but not the last kind of moment I was hoping for with them.
I don't mind that the ME2 LI's got more scenes this time, because the ME3 LI's already got way more content elswhere and even more with the Extended Cut.. but compared with Liara & Kaidan, Ashley got shafted.

I agree that Ashley got less content then them but Ashley's overall romance in that dlc was great.
Apart from that scene, nothing else throughout the dlc was really 'subpar' with her romantic content.
She refers to you throughout the dlc as being in a relationship with and the scene in question happens during the dlc unlike the others which happen after it ended.

Actually it doesn't matter when. You just need to unlock invitations/meetings. It works that way: if you have three invitations for.. James, Tali and Traynor you need to complete them to unlock more invitations for the rest of the crew. Same goes for Citadel scenes.

As much as I would have liked Ashley's scene to be an apartment invite, or better yet, TWO scenes, I think the bar scene is all you get with her. It appears that the companions that you get two scenes with are ones that kind of got shafted in ME3 (Jack, Miranda, Samara, etc). Kaidan only had one, of course his was at the apartment, Liara gets one (at the apartment), Garrus gets one. After thinking about it, Ashley's fits her character. She wants to prove, playfully of course, that she is a better soldier/spectre then Shepard. Shepard get's to slip his innuendo in and Shepard gets to get into a small brawl along side Ash. It's nice.
All during the dlc, if you romanced Ash and are past the point in ME3 when you go on the "date" with her on the Presidium, she talks to you like Shepard and her are a couple, even during the party..."you, Shepard, after you kick everyone out of here, come find me, preferably minus shirt and pants" paraphrasing here. Shepard wakes up with her after the party.

Yeah I think it's all there.

(I'm still disappointed about the scene truncation in Shepard's cabin and on the Citadel in ME3, I wonder if the cinematics are there to be modded?)
