Yes I use the male vanguard with a Katana I. I kept wondering why I wasn't doing any damage or getting any kills. The Quarian Infiltrator was racking up kills like it was easy. I asked the guy after the match how to get better. He told me Spectre packs.

I loved that gun, it was deadly at full auto.
I was such a noob, I skipped Adrenaline Rush completely and favoured more Concussive Shot.

Level 1 Vanguard, wielding a Katana I and a Predator I. No mods, of course. It was Reapers, I remember that much. I think it was also on Glacier. I remember seeing someone in the demo (I only played the full retail version) zipping around at light speed and thinking, "Whoa! I wanna do that!" Unfortunately, at the time I had never caught the class name, but I cycled through the list, and "Biotic Charge" seemed to fit the bill nicely enough, so I tried that. And it was glorious. I remember when sync-kills were fun. They were actually terrifying.

When we extracted I let out this big wail of relief. It was so awesome. That was good. I don't think I strayed from the Human Vanguard until I unlocked the Salarian Engineer, and fell in love with him. Ah, how he was back when he was good...

I dunno why, but in my heart the game was just so much better back then. I don't know how to explain it. It just felt so... real, I suppose. The immersion eventually left my system (I attributed it to "when you fight for a long time the battles begin to lose meaning"), but it was still a damn fun game. If I didn't think so I wouldn't be playing now.

Me and a buddy did a two-man Bronze game on Dagger vs. Cerberus. Man were we COMPLETELY unprepared for the jump in difficulty.

Completely threw me for a loop. Then I found BSN and whabbamo! too much time later I got sorta better. But tons of fun was had, so there ya go.

LOL I did the same thing the first time I played MP. Mine was with a Human Soldier and I also thought Adrenaline Rush was bugged/broken in MP.

Back in the demo, human female infiltrator, Mantis and Predator. Upgraded to Widow and Locust during the demo, and I carry the same to this day.

Me and a bud started later on. I was so confused. I remember Firebase Reactor as an human Adept and bud was a Vanguard. I remember a Slayer being with us (at the time I saw his coat and thought DRELL). No idea what the 4th was, I think Asari

Reapers Condor Bronze. (Played literally the first day the map came out.) Friend pretty much carried me through the whole game. I remember the first 10 or so games i averaged half of 3rd place.

Ahh, the demo days...

"Omg, Bronze is so hard! How could anyone ever do Gold and extract!?"

Me and 3 friends played the demo the day it came out. We decided our first match should be Gold. We lasted literally 30 seconds I believe.

Our real first match was Bronze, we got to wave 3 and failed. The map was Ghost, Faction Cerberus, 2 of us were soldiers, 1 was an infiltrator, and the other was an engineer. We thought it was impossible. Then by the time the game was released I had been playing so much that I could actually solo a couple Gold waves when they died. It's not some great accomplishment, and it was really just luck and common sense, but hey it was really fun back then. Fun times.


Edit: LOL, I put Dagger.  I meant Ghost.  -facepalm-

Me as a human infil with a mantis and a buddy as a human engie with a katana - duo bronze/reapers/ghost. We wiped on wave 2, back in May.

Good times.

I've had no idea about anything, and was pissed beyond belief that the tactical pause didn't seem to work. I've just finished the SP campaign on Insanity and considered myself hardcore.

I played Human Soldier on Firebase Glacier (Bronze). What faction was, I don't remember. Cerberus, maybe. It was on June 2012.

Absolutely no idea. I remember wondering what it would be like, I remember my little N7 1 rating on the lobby screen, but absolutely nothing about the other players, where it was or how I did.
