So why the hell do we never get to see any female salarians, turians, drell, volus, elcor, batarians, etc?

I was glad to finally see female krogan. Could have done without the damn veil on her face, though. The hell is the deal with that? Weeeeird.

We do get to see a female salarian and turian. Drell and Volus I don't know about. How do you know some of the Hanar/Elcor are not female? Female batarians would be interesting though.

I agree there needs to be more genders and ages in future mass effect games. Where are all the children?

I remember the turian now. They're kinda cute, actually. Still not enough of them, though.

Kill the Destiny Ascension. The next Salarian Counselor is female. get Omega, or Citadel DLC for Turian Females. there are plenty of female Quarians. Asari are ALL female. Volus are in suits, Doubt female Pressure suits look any diferent. elcor may be female and you don't know it. why does this matter? gender is just one chromosome.

Sorry to be that person, but it's two. The X chromosome contains much genetic code and is not just for female anatomy (males need at least one X chromosome too). The Y chromosome, however, contains very little genetic code in its make-up and is practically useless unless you want to be a male..

Anyways back on topic, The new Salarian Counsel member is female (as long as you killed the old counsel back in ME1).

Dalatrass Linron is also a female salarian. (The one that you meet with during the meeting with Victus and Wrex/Wreav before Sur'Kesh for those who don't remember.)

Technically you are right. They are monogendered. But due to gender roles, they are female.
