1 2 3 ship
4 5 6 ship
7 8 9 ship
so say the reaper started targeting square 1, i would put my reticule on it, then press RT and LT at the same time to fire a missile and a ship at the same time. pretty much guarantees that it makes it through without losing ur multiplier.
i also try and keep my reticule in the middle square at all times, so i can quickly get to any squares the reapers target.
ALSO, i found out that the 4x score multiplier only applies to your kills, not to the points u get for getting a ship to the end, so as long as ur multiplier is already at 4x, focus on kills and less on getting ships through.
hope that helps someone.

The "Lost Viking" achievement was the only one I didn't get in Starcraft 2 as well...

Does it? I never paid that close of attention. But I used the above strategy. Except I would commonly send ships when they were in the middle box as well.HBC Dresden wrote...
I finally got it but I think sending ships into the relay actually costs points (I used the cursor in the middle technique too).
Shattered Eezo was harder for me to top the score than Relay Defense. But there is a sort of gimmick to that game as well.

Shattered Eezo is basically just keep blocking. When they power punch you just launch a flurry of normal punches then just block until they do the next one. Read the manual, they did state there that power punch is basically to stun people when they block, never mention anything about doing damage.

Yes the instructions say interesting things. Like how jabbing interrupts them when they charge (which isn't entirely accuracte).RaptorSolutions wrote...

You are right, it is mainly that you should spend more time blocking. As they charge it is almost always simplest to jab 3 or 4 times and go directly back into block (most of the time...). And repeat. Over and over. I got 1998 points like that, which was decent.
If you see them try to uppercut, just jab as they do that, usually they don't land it for any damage. So you don't get stunned.
The opponents sometimes immediately break charge into jab, which usually isn't a problem until late game where they do like 9pts of damage per hit.

Very true, but by the time you get there you already got what you need anyway. I.e. the weapon mod for breaking the high score.

It doesn't help that you can't shoot a missile on the same spot until after the explosions of the previous shot finishes. That delay is what usually throws me off and ends the game in frustrating fashion.
I just wish that the creators made the response of the thumbstick more flexible in this minigame and tweaked that delay.

Basically you need to hit the bonus early and not miss.

Bit of an old post, but I had trouble beating the high score as well.
Best advice I can offer (aside from practice) is keeping your missile cursor at the middle, and always returning to it when the board is clear. This way, when you stare at the game board for blue portals (signs that a ship is about to land there) you move by reflex the required tiles up, down, left or right, never more than 2 keys.
Each shuttle is worth 10 points and builds your combo multiplier up to x4, and this can be rewarding early on when the game is relatively calm. I spammed shuttles as much as I could before the board starting getting a little too rushed to always make it to the relay, since missing a shuttle and screwing up your 4x combo can be devastating when it's really hard to get back to 4x with a bunch of new ships appearing.
Once the board gets too busy for your liking, stop spamming shuttles and only send one at LEAST every 10 seconds or so to refresh your mulitplier (as it will disappear if not refreshed). You can launch more if you feel brave and are certain your shuttle will make it! Keep launching missiles at those blue portals and destroy those ships right as they appear!
Definitely a harder challenge than anything else on Insanity! I finally topped that punk Mouse. Stick to the citadel air vents, 'cause no one's name is to ever be elevated higher than Shepards!

If you lose, but you get back into the game quickly enough, your 4x bonus, assuming you built it up to that last time, will still be there, so you can get a bit of a head start on your retry.
