Well, not technically, but I guess you can :)

Dang  then I was going Storm of Zehir, but it's from Obsidian

Well I think I'm not able to choose a least favorite Bioware game. I like them all for different reasons Image IPB

Yes, KOTOR rules over all, I don't think we'll see another one though. DAO is definitely a lot more polished than ME, the execution is fine, it's just the design that's not there. ME is only shinier in the convos and cut scenes, which I do give them credit for.

I've only played three but it would most definitely have to be Mass Effect. It isn't really an issue of it being dumbed down like it is for others in this thread. It's mostly an issue of it being so unpolished. Hopefully, this won't be an issue with Mass Effect 2.

Hm, I think that game seemed incredibly polished compared to DA. I mean, I know they were both rushed, but ME seems slightly less bug-ridden, and just... shinier, somehow :)

Mass Effect was my favourite game while I was playing it (then Dragon Age was my favourite while I was playing that) but once I've stepped back and the dust has settled I can see clearly once more that of course the brilliant KOTOR rules over all ;)

I don't really mean it was unpolished in terms of bugs (even though the PC version had its fair of those ;.;).  I mean it's unpolished in the sense that they brought a lot of good ideas to the table but they didn't really spend the time to fine tune their execution of the ideas to make them shine.

lol, KOTOR is a pretty awesome game. Though, I'm among the rare few who enjoyed KOTOR II more.

I hope we get another KOTOR someday. I really wanted to explore beyond the outer rim ;.;

I'm not sure whether I wrote it in this thread, but I have very recently said pretty much the same thing :)

I found KOTOR II more enjoyable. Loved the influence system, and Atton was a far better character than Carth.

K2 definitely did some things better, but also some things worse, it was quite uneven. Overall I rate them about the same. As far as the next KOTOR, that's the MMO, though I don't really believe it'll do the job.

Apart from the fact that I won't ever actually be able to play it (every computer I have access to is a PoS), I cannot imagine it having anything like the same feel as the KOTORs.

I expect it shall be very good, however - despite BioWare's games being thrust out in increasingly unfinished states. You can't keep an MMO broken for long, am I right?

No, but it can be mediocre forever.

Another one checking in [strikethrough]to the asylum[/strikethrough] who prefers KOTOR 2. It had (on the whole) better writing than the original. Albeit, with an unfinished game, as with an unfinished mystery novel, there's always the 'what might have been' factor - I like KotOR2 better in pieces than KotOR whole. But that's one of my weird quirks.

I agree.  If given more time,  KOTOR II would have been incredible.  It's still good, but there were just too many mistakes.  But I don't blame Obsidian, I blame LucasArts for rushing it.

We have our own asylum? :o

It seems there are more of us than previously estimated, however. I have a suspicion this place is going to get pretty crowded/cosy pretty quick

This one's easy: Mass Effect for several reasons I could go into a long essay to explain. However, as I recently discussed this with someone quite a bit, I'm not in the mood to write a lengthy post to elaborate on those feelings.

All this JE hate hurts. I loved that game. :P

I agree on the unpolished part, though I did feel that the dialog system and overall role-playing were downgraded. I don't favor the dialog wheel, and would prefer any of the systems used in BioWare's other games. Were that to ever be an option for the player, I would be overjoyed.

Anyways, for various reasons, the only RPG I truly did not enjoy at all from BioWare is NWN.(Not counting BG2 as I have not played it yet) Nice main menu music though.

There were a lot of things to love about NWN, but they were pretty far apart. =[

Honestly, the character creator is the best part of the original game, and the expansions have the same one, with more options, so they're even more better-er…er…y'know?

Seems like this should be a poll.

Well, I've only played since KotOR and didn't play BG. So, my least favorite is NWN.

If I played all of BW's games, my least favorite would probably be that sequel they made with the dog that has six arms with guns, a sniper janitor, and a crazy doctor. It just sounds weird.

I thought MDK 2 was awesome. It was like the first MDK but better in every way.

Reason I didn't make this a poll is because I don't think it would create a fair consensus of popular opinion since there are many older, more obscure Bioware games that many people have never played.

MDK 2 was actually the first Bioware game I played.

Well, MDK just sounded weird to me, I never played it so I can't make any true opinion. If you played it, your opinion is more valid than mine on MDK2.

I was watching a BioWare video the other day (All Your History are Belong to Us, linked from another forums-user's thread) and in it they showed clips of that game (I had never even heard of it previously) - it looked fantastic! I would love to play it :D

I was actually a big fan of the original MDK by Shiny.

Shiny used to make a lot of really personality rich games like MDK, Sacrifice, Messiah but then they sold out and started making crappy movie tie ins like The Matrix games which sucked big time.

MDK 2 had so much original wit, and charm that had I not known it was made by Bioware I would've sworn it was a Shiny developed game.

It's out on PC, right? Is it old enough to run on a really, really **** computer?

The game came out in 2000 so I imagine you shouldn't have a problem running it as far as processor and GPU are concerned.

Operating systems on the other hand....well I don't know.

I have the Sega Dreamcast version.
