I laughed. No one was taking it seriously so I didn't really mind.

Steve: " Your clone is kind of an a-hole."

Bioware hit the bottom of the dumb writing cliche barrel and just kept on boring through the wood.

It had potential and could have been done well. Too bad they didn't - Shepard just shrugs off the revelation like they shrugged off death and resurrection with a couple of throwaway gags..
The evil clone is certainly better than Kai, if only because you don't need to buy supplementary material to follow the plot.

They made it work, the juxtaposition between Shep the clone to show the effects of experience and friendship worked well for me.

Did not like that it was motivated by another hard line pro human Cerberus goon though. They really need to get over Cerberus. At least you can kill her at the end

It gave me a "what the hell" reaction but I enjoyed it.

I agree with this.  The premise had the potential to be more serious and explore Shep's own inner turmoil of not being "real" and being created by Cerberus.

I liked the light-heartedness of the story overall but I'd have preferred it went the other way at least a little.

I laughed. It was nothing that I expected and it made some incredibly funny lines possible.

It was a little cliched, but really, for the final DLC that's supposed to be a reflection on Shepard and all of his relationships, what would have been better? Just some random mercenary or alien? I think it was a good choice for this specific scenario.

Might have been funny if they use the opposite gender shep for the evil clone. Like they messed up with the chromosomes

Lame. Could only have been lamer if he had the typical "evil clone" moustache or goatee going on.

I actually didn't mind it. As said earlier, he was a good contrast to my paragon adept shepaloo. He thought he was entitled to all these things that he didn't earn and expected people to respect him for things he didn't do.

It disgusted my shepaloo and when it came to whether the clone lived or died, he ultimately chose to help the clone. He wasn't going to compromise his ideals, in that everyone deserves an equal chance. He wasn't going to compromise his ideals for even "himself" and give "himself" a chance :P

Also the banter about shep having a clone from the squadmates was pretty goofy :3

When I heard about it, I was pissed becasue it was spoiled in the main forum menu in a title.

Than I thought, "huh, why the hell would it be a clone, those don't exist in mass effect"

Than I remembered miranda, and her sister, and the fact that the ME universe used clone replacement limbs.

So than I was like, "so it does fit with lore huh? Well than, let's see where this goes."

And it went in a really good direction, with excellent banter, with my paragon shepard who thinks everyone is equal going against the pro-humanity shepard clone, and the whole thing being just awesome. I loved the fight, and the decision scene at the end, and thought that this was a prime example of taking an idea, and doing it right. Which honestly is a lot better than the last time they tried to do an idea, and did it horribly wrong.

Didn't see it coming. Before Citadel was released, we had no idea it was supposed to be satire so I would never have guessed.

The idea of the clone being mad at Shepard is rather nonsense.  The anger should it seems for many reasons be more directed at TIM.  First off, he created her and then he abandoned her in favor of the "real deal".  And this clone no matter what has no paragon instincts?  I'm not saying all of this wouldn't maker her bitter and all, but I'd think somewhere in there there would be different kinds of feelings based upon the kind of Sheparad the original was-chemistry and all.

Yeah, I'd be mad at being used for spare parts, but one example stands out-Miranda.  Ori was created to be a more perfect version of her and she was the older model.  Miranda was generally mad at everyone at first but really specifically mad at her father and not at all mad at Ori. Sure, Ori was the clone but she's similar to "real" Shepard because she was the one their father wanted.

You have to remember, though, that the Clone wasn't the real driver.  They weren't the actual 'villian' here, Brooks was.  The strong implication is that Brooks found and activated the clone, making sure its worldview aligned with hers.  The only goal that could really be said to belong to the clone would be the search for identity, and she made sure it took the 'easy' way of stealing Shep's identity reather than forming one of its own.

I knew it immediately after hearing word "fish" in the trailer. Mark's voice is very recognizable.

I liked the idea in the end. I didn't know my Shep can be so mean and pretty at the same time x] I also agree with this post. Could never say it better.

Exactly, the motivater behind all this was Brooks. She manipulated the ShepClone into all this, and then abandoned it. Which is why I tried to save the clone and I shot Brooks. I was made that she used someone who was like Grunt or EDI for her own ends instead of letting the clone become it's own person.

With the mercs and video in the casino I was thinking Toombs was back for his revenge. Was a little disappointed when it turned out to be an evil clone.

I would have enjoyed the idea that both Shepard's were/are clones. That would be a twist.

Nice to headcanon it in, swap out the real shepard for a clone for priority:Earth, let him sacrifice himself and ill have plenty of parties with my squad. Live like legends.
