I noticed I had a ton of extra skill points after filling my build on my collector adept, I haven't used any so I'm still at 6/6/6/5/3 because it's obviously some kind of glitch, what should I do?

I get this all the time on DLC characters (mostly Havoc, TGI, and Volus characters). It either says I have a ton of points left to spend even after maxing the usual build, or gives me -80 points. I avoid using these characters until I promote and then it usually resets - it's happened to me a lot though.
