I find it kind of funny how some people ae taking joy in seeing paying customers who used to be loyal fans leaving.

You normally see this kind of behaviour in MMO forums just before they get cancelled and die forever.

Tortanic was like that after a first month.

Autodialogue for everyone.  I find it funny that people didn't want cheesy at the end, but then they get cheesy at THE END and they're overjoyed with it, best thing everrrrr.  Well, I'm fine with cheese but please no one ever again say this series was grim dark and then please put this pre-ending reunion content in context with the demented and demoralizing endings.  First off the DLC itself, a stopoff at a vacation apartment, makes no sense storywise, but ok neither did Omega.  Only this is something Anderson and Hackett say Shepard must do all while Anderson is watching Earth crumble around him and Hackett is preparing his "fighting and winning is impossible" speeches.  So, it makes real sense to pull some war assets from the battle as other assets are being slaughtered.  Cool.

From the start of ME3, the idea is that there's no time to waste, hurry up, get help, get it done.  Ooooh, a casino!

Then, there are some sly-ish references made towards anti-enders and even the villain seems more about what a lot of us think of Shepard at the end of the game.

This DLC still suffers from the endings-I see people having fun and happy to see each other, something that makes the endings even worse.

It feels more like what should be a final ending to the game except it comes before the ending.

Yeah, the autodialogue in the DLC was really annoying. Thankfully, the lines were well-written so it wasn't *painful* (like some parts of the game), but not having choice in dialogue again was mildly irritating.

I really enjoyed the intimate moments, but as I predicted, the shadow of the ending loomed near. As a final ending, this DLC would have been absolutely perfect. As pre-ending, it doesn't make sense and leaves me feeling bittersweet (esp. when Shepard says, "At least we threw a hell of a party. Probably the last one.") A part of it is me being sad that it's over and this is it for the characters, and another part is my continuous and likely permanent dislike of the ending and what they do to the whole series.

some of the comments in this thread made ME throw up a little in my mouth ...

this community is not only toxic because people are criticising the game - the people who cant handle different opinions and constructive criticism are co-responsable for the disgusting state of this board.

i personally would not leave because bioware made a thematically questionable and disgusting ending, i would leave, because this board looks like the battle of verdun.

I don't really come to the spoiler section anymore, but with the new dlc, I thought I would check it out... wow....compared to the other parts of the forums the spoiler area is really still the armpit of bsn.

It has Stargate Sg-1 written all over it, I love that show.

Jade I got the DLC and enjoyed the hell out of it, it was silly and ridiculous and made me laugh my ass off. It let me experiance a bit of the universe I've been fighting for. My renegade femshep finally got to slap Jacob for two timing her too.

This.

It is indeed just a fan service and the story is absurd and totally out ouf place, but my god, it was the best ME dlc I've ever played.

It's filled with references to the two previous games, nostalgia, self irony and a some memorable quotes. And Wrex. A lot of Wrex.

The  Citadel Archives was a parody of the Suicide Mission. Special mention to Glyph. Thanks to it and its hilarious remarks, I died more in the Citadel Archives than in all my ME3 playthroughs.

Wait, you're moving "on" to games like Baldur's Gate? That seems like a step backwards to me. That BioWare is gone friend, you have to accept that.

Personally, I'm still undecided about this dlc, i've actually thought about getting it... I soon might. But yes, the ending sucks and will always suck. Thank god Mr. Fob could do what BioWare couldn't.

It's hilarious so far, it's like watching a chessy 90's action movie written by the Mass Effect team.

Funny you say that now when the truth is there hasn't been this much positive attitude surrounding ME3 since pre-release.

If people want to post goodbye threads and write off Bioware and anyone who supports them, they have that right. At the same time though, you're going to have people who will conflict with that type of OP. It's no different than the "Thank You Bioware" threads that usually get derailed by someone who thinks their standards are higher than others.

Yes because this being the final ever DLC alot of people who hate the ending have most probably left in disgust.

Maybe you need to finish that "Generic Academics 101" course you seem to have started before using them big words. You might realize that the "anthropy" in "misanthropy" refers to people, not games. So while some people might even "hate" the game, it is twisted people-haters like you who bring the misanthropy.

The endings? Still? Bioware made it clear they won't change the endings... All that artistic integrity stuff, is probably crap, "why?" you say... Answer: Because instead of people saying "oh, I didn't like this part of ending because blah blah blah... etc..." People said "The endings suck.". (They would have probably added some new endings.. 'cause as far as I know the things that were fixed in the EC, were explained in a lot of reviews) So You are simply getting what you deserve. Bye.

I'm done with the Mass Effect trilogy, and I'm not even going to touch the next trilogy. BioWare, you had your chance to make it right, and you screwed up not giving us an ending where we beat the Reapers without choosing one of the three choices. It just doesn't fit Shepard's style and ideals. Shepard fights for the freedom of all species, no matter who or what they are, that includes synthetics, he/she fights for thier right to make thier own future, for better or worse. You guys in BioWare forced us to violate Shepard's ideals, and I don't appreciate that.

Your argument precludes the possibility of a no-win scenario.

I don't believe in no-win scenarios.

(Don't know if anyone said it :P)

Actually, all the OP's threads on the subject were pretty long and thought out. There were plenty of people who provided the "endings suck" noise but N7Gold wasn't among them.

Your wrong, this board was full of constructive and thoughtful criticism of the endings shortly after release, there was even an official 900+ page Bioware thread for it.....most of it was ignored completely by Bioware.

Gets your facts straight next time eh?

Oh and lets just say judging by your post i'm not at all surprised that you liked the endings.

This has always been my main issue with the forums.  Hatred for a game or its ending-not cool, what a terrible person you are, never do that.  Hatred for a real person-great idea, best use of words, ever.

I used to make thought out posts.  Then I found out, like on most forums, people here respond only to hyperbole, particularly if they disagree with you.  Sadly, I find this most true of the ending lover Cultists (as opposed to the thoughtful people who like the endings), so to engage them, they mostly seem to need their perfect world to be shattered before they start actually thinking.

Actually, some of us may even appreciate that.  The best and perhaps only good thing about ME3's endings has been the people, even those that disagreed with me, with whom I've been lucky enough to have some great discussions.  Sure, it's gotten heated at times and even sometimes cause misunderstandings or dissent.  But it has been what I've always known, real discussion and debate.  The endings tend to say that these kinds of things, conflict, chaos, and so on are bad, but actually you learn far more when you disagree with someone than when you agree with them.  The good side of conflict.

There are many people that I will miss.  I don't really know them, but I've been very lucky to know a part of them.  And quite often we've had debates on really deep subjects.  I'll miss that when it's gone as well.  I've participated in other forums on products and some games, and it's always a bit sad when you start noticing how many people are gone for good and you never did get to say goodbye.  Goodbye, OP.  If you will indeed be gone, have a great life!
