If you manage to not get banned despite including open insults in almost every post, then I imagine the other poster has nothing to worry about.

So, Bioware is not making up a new ending according to the OP's specs so ball and OP are going home?

Please show me where these "Open insults" are, i'd like to know as I don't recall making any recently.

That was a massive leap in logic you made.

No a more accurate conclusion from that statement would be people who obsess over something they hate, to the extent where they have put more time into complaining about it that they did playing it, with no indication that they'll ever get over this dangerous, counter-productive obsessive behaviour, should seek professional help.

Seriously. Not a joke. Not an insult. These people really honestly should seek professional help.

It wasn't, it was advice with their well-being in mind. If I hated say Terminator 2 to the extent where I spent hundreds of hours complaining about it, hundreds of hours, I would honestly want someone to try and help me get over my obsession. If they gave me advice that I should seek professional help because this obsession is counter-productive to my life, I would take it or at least attempt to do something about my obsession. I wouldn't try and pretend they're insulting me when they're not, that wouldn't help anything.

" concern troll

A person who posts on a blog thread, in the guise of "concern," to disrupt dialogue or undermine morale by pointing out that posters and/or the site may be getting themselves in trouble, usually with an authority or power. They point out problems that don't really exist. The intent is to derail, stifle, control, the dialogue. It is viewed as insincere and condescending.

See, Hexley, some people can't separate their like or dislike of a game from themselves.  So when you insult the game (you know, the one you purchased with your money, likely in a country that allows for freedom of speech) you are, in their mind, actually insulting them.

Saying the ending(s) suck, for example, is like saying they suck.  And when you look at life, aren't we all really just a bunch of people with no meaning until we actually love, and become, part of a video game handed down to us by higher ups who have a level of intelligence that we can only dream of having?  The nerve of thinking those people would be responsible for bad writing!

Actually, I give Robosexual a break.  There's simply a misunderstanding of the pure joy it is to make fun of Mass Effect 3.  I hope, one day, that Robosexual will realize this, and come to Synthesize with us.  In green.  He probably needs more War Assets, though...

That's a lie and you know it, your just trying to call people crazy who have a different opinion than you...very mature.

Anyway i'm done talking to you, you're honestly not worth the time or effort.

Yes, they got the message, but they didn't change the ending, did they?  They tweaked it enough to placate most people by adding an actual epilogue.

The part of the ending people hated the most, stayed the same.

Yup, and because of that, I have serious doubts about the company. BioWare used to make niche titles that sold to the masses. That was a rare position to be in. After EA took over, they make the same bland action games/shooters that everybody else does. The next ME will have less than 20 hours of SP and even more MP and microtransactions. EA won't let them do it any other way. The oversimplification of the dialog is only the beginning.

- I really hope I'm wrong.

Did Bio ever think of themselves that way, though? Maybe before BG1 since RPGs had gone a bit out of fashion, but in the years after that RPG was a major genre rather than a niche.

As for the rest, the problem with the ending is that it's..... bland?

That's fine but 2 things here:

It's not a lie. And I would never call them, or anyone, who see's a shrink crazy. That "crazy" stigma society has for people that do needs to stop.

Hexey UK, in your sig, by far the worst of it all is the, "Go along with it," of Batman and Robin. Why should any video company ever listen to complaints if the people who complain buy the DLC anyway? Or buy the product anyway? Or post anyway, after they say they are going to leave? (Why would you ever make a goodbye thread and come back is beyond me, though 3D explained it).

I say, if I was BioWare, I would continue to participate in the financial Darwinism of the average gamer, and suck them dry of all their money. Those gamers surely don't know how to spend it and need to be removed of their cash as soon as possible! Seriously, it was going to waste with them anyway.

I agree, i'm frankly amazed at people who hated the ending and yet still bought the DLC.

Honest to God, people. The OP is a real person and in all sincerity may well just be expressing a few things that many have assigned as a TL;DR, don't care, so what, blah blah blah. Understand this, I'd feel this way even if the person LOVED the endings.

No one is going to come on these forums and express everything just the way you want it to be said, so that you can completely get the intent and the feeling of it, or so that it will speak to you. But real people do come on these forums and express real thoughts that, yes they are entitled to. No one has the right to tell you how to think and no one, save for Bioware themselves, has the right to tell you not to post. I don't care if you want to post a dozen photos of your dog, Lollipop. Bioware will decide, and for those of you that think the OP is being self-serving and then decide to post you think that's so, well just what do you think your post is? It's even worse because you want everyone to see just how clever you are at insulting someone else's person feelings. Wow, impressive. Great use of the language and your computing skills. I'm amazed at your ability to fire off in rapid succession words to tell the OP just how stupid you think he is.

Well, the OP may not agree with you, or maybe he does. And maybe you think it is silly to say Bioware didn't live up to expectations (a year into this) so goodbye, but no one is forcing you to say so. Congratulations on writing the wittiest posts in this thread. You win a cookie.

I've seen some truly disgusting comments recently from pro-enders and it saddens me to see that this is what BSN has come to, people revelling in others sadness.

Is this kind of behaviour in the spirit of ME? Perhaps it is in these endings and that's what i'm missing.

Well, here's the thing.  A lot of people are looking for ways to make it all feel better or maybe they want one last look at what was really good about this series-the ending will never change, but that doesn't mean they didn't love what was good about it.  Seeing some of the dialogue and then reading what people have had to say, well, the content feels like "old" and better times, but it won't fix what's wrong.  Nothing will, at this point.  What it can do for many is allow them for one last time the experience of some of the good things in ME, the hilarity at certain points and the characters.  And that's an individual decision everyone must make for themselves.

But, it's true that what continually tends to happen is that companies see this as agreement.  It's why I've long believed that companies are only looking at the shortterm and don't realize the kinds of customers they could create for the longterm.  Do great things and have a customer for life.  Do meh things and have a customer for now.  And you have to work much harder to get new customers than to keep the old ones-the old ones will tell you what they like and don't like-the new ones don't know.
