So, one of the ME3 forum threads was talking about the value of its DLC, which caused me to start pondering the value of the entire trilogy. Here's some numbers on that:

Size: 7.4 + 17.4 + 25.8 = 50.6

Cost: base $ 15+20+35
DLC (MSP)
ME1: 400 ($5)
ME2: 800+560+320+560+160+160+160+560 = 3280 ($41)
ME3: 1200+800+160+800+160+160+1200 = 4480 ($56)
400+3280+4480 = 8160
$102 + 15 + 20 + 35 = $172

Time:
ME1:
80h 13m
2h 19m
62h 24m
9h 08m
===== 154h 04m

ME2:
99h 59m
3h 36m
1h 13m
4h 09m
18h 15m
0h 24m
===== 127h 36m

ME3 (SP):
109h 30m
12h 21m
1h 04m
33h 30m
4h 25m
===== 160h 50m

ME3 (MP):
267h 20m

ME1:
7.4 GB
$20
154h 04m
ME2:
17.4 GB
$61
127h 36m
ME3:
25.8GB
$91
160h 50m + 267h 20m = 428h 10m

Gotta run to work, so I don't have time to really analyze these numbers just yet, but I thought BSN might find them interesting.

So, altogether that is approximately four hours of entertainment per dollar spent.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

ME1:
7.4 GB
$20
154h 04m
Cost per GB: $2.70/GB
Cost per Hr: $0.12/Hr
MB/Hr: 49.21MB/Hr

ME2:

$61
127h 36m
Cost per GB: $3.51/GB
Cost per Hr: $0.48/Hr
MB/Hr: 139.64MB/Hr

ME3:
25.8GB
$91 ($35game+$56DLC)
160h 50m + 267h 20m = 428h 10m
Cost per GB: $3.53/GB
Cost per Hr (total): $0.21/Hr
Cost per Hr (SP): $0.57/Hr
MB/Hr: 61.7MB/Hr

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Cost per Hour
This is calculated with only the base game cost as all MP DLC was free: $0.13/Hr

Entire singleplayer Campaign Shepard Trilogy data (stripping out only ME3 MP-specific time, not data size):
Size: 50.6 GB
Cost: $172
Time: 442h 30m
Cost per GB: $3.40/Gb
Cost per Hr: $0.39/Hr
MB/Hr: 301.25MB/Hr

At thirty-nine cents per highly enjoyable hour (a number that will be dropping in future months as I do a couple more playthroughs) the Commander Shepard trilogy has proven to be a worthy investment of time, money, and XBox Hard Drive space.

Has anyone else found they've gotten similar value out of Mass Effect? Better? Worse?

BioWare staff, any thoughts on this?
