short little story i wrote
cheers!

Ky'Rell stood in the field, the wind whipping the grass around his ankles, his shoulder lenght brown hair blowing. He stood there, in his drakescale armor, waiting for his opponent to make the first move. He was ready, waiting, the longsword and dagger on his back just waiting to be used. He had a few surprises eager to be used to; the throwing knives on his belt.

The fingers on his gloves were reinforces with armor, each piece overlaping the other allowing for him to move his fringers easily.
"Ahhh, finally." he said as he watched the figure walk into view. Ky'Rell knew exactly who it was and was ready and willing to fight this man to the death for what he had done to his sister. The man, Thedas was his name, stood average height, clad in the usual Templar armor, the great sword in his hand dragging on the ground while he ran one hand over a patch of tall grass. Ky'Rell crossed his arms in front of his chest and gave a small bow towards Thedas. The Templar placed his right arm over his chest and bowed also. They stood there for a few moments watching each other.

The wind died down, the birds stopped chirping, even the dogs in the distance silenced. Then without warning Ky'Rell threw two throwing knives at Thedas the first one missed and the second one Thedas blocked with the heavy plating on the his forearm. Ky'Rell raced forward, drawing both the longsword and the dagger. Thedas swung the greatsword up at Ky'Rell when he was close enough. Ky'Rell rolled to the right and Thedas pivoted and brought the sword crashing down as Ky'Rell stepped backwards the put on foot on the greatswords blade and lunged forward thrusting the dagger forward. It connected with where Ky'Rell assumed would have been right under the collar bone. The blade pierced the armor but only slightly, he heard Thedas inhale sharply which he knew ment the blade had cut him. The next thing he knew the back of one of Thedas gloved hands was hitting him in the face, knocking him backwards a few feet.

Thedas grabbed the dagger that was still stuck in his armor and pulled it out, throwing it to the ground. Ky'Rell stood up and swung the longsword at Thedas. He easily parried it with his greatsword knocking the blade from Ky'Rells hand. Thedas then heel-kicked him in the chest knocking him back on to the ground. Ky'Rell dove at Thedas tackling him to the ground. He reached his hands into the space between the helm and Thedas' templar armor grabbing his throat and squeezing. He could hear the Templar gasp and choke for breath. Thedas the mustered his strength from his core and head butted Ky'Rell. Both men lay on the ground but Thedas stood up first. He removed his gloves, then his armor, and finally his helm. It was the first time Ky'Rell had truely seen him with his jet black hair and dark green eyes and one scar running down the right side of his face.

Thedas then raised his fists as Ky'Rell stood. Thedas lunged with a right hook but Ky'Rell blocked it and punched him in the face. Thedas staggered back, rubbing his jaw. The two men continued to fight hand-to-hand, punching and blocking. Finally Ky'Rell uppercutted the Templar who fell to the ground and Ky'Rell jumped on top of him. They rolled left and right punching and kneeing each other. Ky'Rell rolled on top of Thedas and began to choke him. Thedas tried to head butt him again but Ky'Rell leand back avoiding the blow. The edges of Thedas' vision began to black as he reached out for a rock or something. Then he felt something in his hand, one of Ky'Rells throwing knives! He grabbed it in his hand and stabbed into the side of Ky'Rells neck. He held it there as blood flowed from the wound and down his hand and arm. Ky'Rell then fell limply onto Thedas who pushed the body off him. He looked down at the man and said a quick prayer.
"I am truly sorry it came to this,' he said as he left, 'brother."
