By the time you get near the end, some people could be dead. I would like to avoid that issue if at all possible and have everyone included in this DLC adventure. When would be the best time to play this DLC and when are you allowed to start playing it?

My Shepard romanced Ashely and I would like for that to be included as well. Her date happens after the Priority: Citadel II, right?

I think no matter what Thane isn't in it, and it looks like Legion was just totally forgotten about, so that just leaves Mordin. I'm curious myself, as in I really want everyone there including Mordin.

Her date is after Citadel II. Be sure to lovk in with her before starting Citadel if you want it to acknowledge the romance.

I kicked off Citadel after Rannoch and before Thessia. I don't think Miranda will ultimately be in attendance, but Jack is dead in this particular playthrough - I hear a lot of her humor comes from their interaction.

You have to wait until after Priority Citadel regardless.

Best to wait until after Tuchanka too for Tali. So, basically, right before Thessia.

Which... ouch. Goofy fun followed by dark serious business. I imagine playing this dlc in the middle of the campaign would feel insanely out of place like the worst case of bipolar disorder you ever saw. I'm more content making it my not so much ending.. ending. I mean thats really what it is anyways, in spirit at least.

I played it right before Cronos the first time in order to get all the content at once.

In future playthroughs I will probably start the conspiracy quest right after the Citadel coup.

It seems that you can't do it right before you attack TIM's base. So I had to go back to Rannoch. I'm gonna complete the Rannoch arc so I can have the good arcs done and have everybody on deck.

Keep everyone you can alive and play it after you beat the game. It's your new ending.

I played right before Thessia, so I missed out on Miranda... Not an LI, but I still wanted to see her.

So, it seems it must be played after Sanctuary for her character to be ready to join the fun.

Which is a really weird time to take shore leave... I dunno guys.

The earlier you play the DLC, the earlier you get access to the Silver Strip area, which might be fun to have as a companion hub during the main plot.

But then, you'll miss out on Miranda... hmm...

I think the best time for the story of the dlc is pre thessia and the party like just before the final assault!

Can we do it?

I'd like to play the main plot of the dlc after Rannoch, then play all other missions and attend the party before the assualt to Cerberus station.

I want to meet Miranda and so I have to wait Horizon for the party but I'd like to play the other missions before that moment.

Can you please confirm me if it is a choice we can actually make?

Thank you very much.

I'm pretty sure that you can choose when to start the party, since it doesn't activate until you've invited everyone, so you can do the main quest whenever you want, and then come back for the party before attacking Cerberus.

I would probably do it after Rannoch (so you have the whole squad), then throw the party after Sanctuary, so that everyone can be invited.

If it works, then Citadel should be played after Rannoch but the party would have to wait until after Sanctuary for Miranda appearance.

But then you would also miss out on meet ups with ME2 squaddies on the Silver Strip and Thane's memorial, right?
You don't get those emails until after your party and then you have to complete a mission for the emails to tick in....

is it possible? it would be very nice so I don't have to delay the entire dlc in my current playthrough but I can still invite everyone alive, including Miranda...

For the Ashley romance, you'll want to wait until after you lock it in with her Citadel date. I'd say to just do it before Cronos and treat it as a semi-ending (it has a nice send-off).

I got Thane's memorial before throwing the party.

I'm pretty sure it's possible, you can choose when to activate the party.

Do the "delivery missions" count for the "email requirements"? If so we have solved the problem. Just avoid to "deliver" what you found on the Galaxy map until that moment.

If it does not work what about one of those N7 missions? I think you could do the last one before starting the assault on the Cerberus station... I'm not sure, though. I'll have to check it.

Wonderful news! Thank you very much.. I spent the last hour trying to find the answer here on the Forum Posted Image
I'll make a sort of "back up" save before starting the dlc... just in case Posted Image

yeah a lot of emails began to trickle in after the party, where some of your old squad mates want to meet up for one on one time, including miranda. So it's kinda tricky if you wait until before the attack on cerberus base to start off the party, cause then you have no more missions to go on to trigger the emails. As much as it would be nice to have miranda at the party. Usually around the time you are offered the mission to sanctuary, you will have a side mission to rescue the civilian on ontarom, I suppose you can try to save doing that until after you clear sanctuary, to give you a trigger for the emails.

I had all of the emails before starting the party.

Sounds like a plan. Am I going to miss out on Thane's memorial or any other content playing it this way?

Also, I'm pretty sure you can use the combat arena as a way to wait for the new emails.

Were they the ones such as meet miranda at the casino? bail grunt out with the c sec officers? etc? cause those didn't appear for me until after the party and after I did a side mission.

I'm pretty sure that using the combat arena counts for a side mission, cause I got every ME2 encounter before throwing the party.
