What did Joker did for me that i should sacrifice everything i got so he can have a girlfriend?

What has he sacrificed for the galaxy? What has he done that ANYONE else couldn't do? Really.

Then...what has Shepard done? Let us compare and contrast.

Shep was tired...tired of giving and giving and getting nothing but kudos. She was, for one terrible moment, tired of being the martr. She wanted blue babies or wanted to dance with Garrus

Or maybe he wanted to spend his life playing "Shep smash mech" with Jack.

Shep earned it.

Which is a completely valid argument.

My only counter-argument would be that Shepard was the one responsible for bringing this family together in the first place. At least for MY Shepard, it's unbecoming to place him/herself over other members of the family.

Hence Control, where the only person left behind is him/herself. A sacrifice I made for the family I created.

Need I restate that Shepard has no way of knowing (s)he'd survive?

I choose Destroy because I aim to kill the Reapers. Survival is a byproduct (though an admittedly welcome one).

Well, in my opinion, all the endings are wrong because they infer that the Lord, Jesus Christ does not have the final say in what happens in the Galaxy.

(Pleasse check above statement for hints of sarcasm).

Everybody takes away different lessons and ideas from the story. We are not all alike.

True, though for the sake of this argument, I AM asking players to metagame, since technically, I shouldn't know about the Control option to begin with if I'm not.

I was going to say this. Destroying the rippers>>>>Shepard's life.

I don't know about the OP but since the ending(s) are all fail, I got a particular satisfaction out of frying the Geth.

Really, of course, what happened was that the Geth and EDI lived when I picked Destroy. Also, Shepard got up out of the rubble and was rescued. If you can't figure out how that happened, then you clearly have no imagination.

and to be fair, that your point? I mean... really? you condemm pro-destroy for being cold heart because
they take away joker chance to get laid while you take away freedom to choose from the galaxy.

@OP

don't know about you specualtion but in my opinion after that space ****** fired the galaxy won't be the same no
matter what you prefered choice.

Still shooting that tube.

It makes me regret losing EDI that much more, but that makes it all the better for my fanfic.

Yeah, despotism isn't any more attractive today than it was yesterday, but everyone is free to choose for themselves.

Hopefully you're content with your ending choice, whatever it ends up being, and are able to walk away from this mess having some sort of positive experience.

I will always shoot the crap out of that tube. If Shepard can be rebuilt and her memory recovered, I think an A.I. can be salvaged as well, don't you? Especially considering the fact that machines are far easier to repair than a human that's been spaced. My Shepard is the best engineer in the galaxy. Even if she weren't an engineer, with Tali and Kasumi's help, we can rebuild anything. Not to mention that there will be an entire galaxy of grateful people willing to help do this. They won't forget their A.I. comrades.

Shepard will salvage EDI's memory banks, and reconstruct the Geth. Until I see their bodies disintegrate in a cut-scene, I have no reason to believe that this is not possible, and neither do you. But go ahead and tempt fate. Lose yourself and observe everything with no connection to your friends and family what-so-ever, which honestly, I feel would drive even the most resilient person mad after a long enough period of time. Then we'd have a reaper problem again, wouldn't we?

I trust dead reapers, my Shepard's own ability, and the galaxy as a whole, more than I do a blind leap of faith that everything is going to be okay because the reaper god said so.

But yeah, you go right ahead and grab those handles. Good for you! Reaper overlord power!

Pretty much the entire reason I chose Destroy in the first place, next play through will probably be Destroy again, Control being a onetime thing. ;)

I got heartsick over EDI and felt regret for the geth, but I will always choose destroy. I chose control once just to watch it and I found the combination of ReaperShep's voice, the music, and the overall concept unsettling.

But Citadel does add more pain to the weight of my choice. If I could make my Shep die in destroy instead of EDI, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

[/quote]Hey, no need for snark, Spark. Just statin' opinions here.

I want to give my family immediate satisfaction, not 50-100 years down the road satisfaction. Some of my family won't be alive to see that day. So yeah. Still grabbin' those handles.

Cuz if you can head-canon salvaging EDI's memory banks, I can head-canon Shep Reaper overlord being a watchful protector that doesn't become a despot.

And why not? Why couldn't it be so?

Unless...you agree that there's no way Harby would LIE to you.

After Jack tells me that she'll yank me out of a pile of rubble at the "ass-end of this war"?

No.

Jack says that?

Tali's went something like:

Shepard: We threw one hell of a party. Probably the last one.

Tali: No. No, you'll find a way to do what's best for all of us.

I took this to imply Destroy, though Jack's is clearly far more so. I wonder what the other LI's say...

Girl, bye. The DLC makes low EMS destroy the only option. It's the only way to restore everyone's honour after all that secondhand embarrassment.

Shepard was on a mission to destroy the reapers. EDI knew that she could die in the process of doing that, and even changed her programming to allow for self-sacrifice. Given the circumstances, I think she would be fine if Shepard chose destroy. The fleet was being blown to bits and you're expected to believe what this pop-up tells you about the control and synthesis options. Hell, the geth might even understand why Shepard did what he did, especially if he always treated the geth with respect.

Kaidan: You will find a way to win. I know it. And when you do, I'll be waiting.

If I ever play the ending again (which I may not after finding this DLC a proper goodbye), I'm still picking Destroy.

Where are you getting 50-100 years from? Shepard was rebuilt in 2. Maybe it would take a little longer than that for the geth, but 50-100 years? I really don't understand that estimate, since the relays can be rebuilt in 10. I believe that figure (10 years) was from someone's twitter. Mike Gamble or some other BioWare official.
