And I can assure you with EA's current stance on modding they would veto that, no matter what BioWare would say.

I always use custom key binds in every game ever. The one and only time I tried the Talon was also the one and only time I rage quit.

While I agree that it's disappointing that there will be no more patches, this is hardly surprising.  And it's not like there aren't real costs associated with even a PC only patch release.

Yet there are companies like Bohemia who release patches for Arma series (PC) at least once a week. I don't think it's the "cost" itself, that is killing PC only patches for Bioware games. The problem is the massive bureaucracy machine and and overly done standardization within Electronic Arts. It makes everything sluggish, cumbersome and undynamic. Maybe the whole company should take notice from Valve (for example) with its dynamic approach to game development.

Admittedly, I was afraid this might happen -- the last DLC means the last of the maintenance patches.  Granted, Eric hasn't flat out said "No more patches," but this is rather disheartening all the same.

And this is how BSN explodes. Not with a post, but with a bang.

This. Quoted for truth and for an awesome quote

Sad that we're not getting another patch. But we had to expect it, I guess...

So, let's see. In order to play the Talon I need to rebind 5 keys in-game.

Eric, can you start another sticky thread about the Talon with some tips when to do that? For example "When you get downed, don't gel. It's the perfect moment to rebind your Ops Pack key to where it should be, and save you next time."

- Heavy focus on micro-transaction check
-Pushing their DRM check
- Focusing solely in adding cosmetical junk fail
-not releasing games fail
-rehasing games check

 3/5, not bad.

As someone who doesn't rebind my keys, this isn't so much an issue for me.

You know, you're right. But still, I am so sad that biower (yes, that's how the company which makes half-baked stuff should be called) can't do proper testing for such a long time. I am not a hater, I really love Bioware, but you guys keep disappointing me with the quality of your products.

People say nice things about the Citadel DLC, I am sure I will check it out and maybe I will change my mind.

If as much of the game was as 'half-baked' I'm sure you wouldn't have gotten as much out of it as you have. In the grand scheme of things, it's a small problem. One out of 50+ characters--granted they're not all unique, but still.

They are still paying the bills of the studio lights and the wages of people, no matter if they are working on bugfixing or doing nothing. The point is: the release of a PC patch it's not so money consuming like on consoles, steam and small PC studios release patches all night long.

Lol at the idea that they are doing "nothing."  Because the few people left working on MP are just sitting around, with nothing else to do.  Time spent working on this issue is time not spent on something else.  There's no such thing as free time.

And none of that addresses the other potential issues with fixing it, or fixing it on just one platform.

Eric, The Collectors have been broken on the PS3 since they came out early October.  Playing against Collectors freezes our consoles.  Despite constant complaints about the broken product that BioWare released for the PS3, the issue has been largely ignored.  Now we find out that there are no plans for any patch.  There was every opportunity to fix this problem.  I have no choice but to believe that BioWare just doesn't give a **** about PS3 players.  What a joke.

I've enjoyed this game for the most part, but the quality issues that have been present throughout are unacceptable.  It will cause me to think twice about purchasing EA/BioWare products in the future.

The more I think about it, the more I have the feeling I played a beta version of a game that will never be released.

70 € the beta of a game is a pain in the ass.

BTW : nice thread-derail Eric, nice thread-derail.

That's really a shame :( I'd consider this to be a broken kit then. I can maybe play it on silver with missing key binds but the missing packs in the bar is just too much. It's a shame as this was the kit I was most keen on playing.

Exactly what I was going to say, since Dracian's nice enough to link his N7HQ in his sig.

Probably some of the cheapest entertainment you have ever bought.

Of course that was a metaphorical saying. Don't forget that we have lots of other bugs still, starting from broken power evos and ending in rocket gliching and game freezing.

Many people here right because EA has ****loads of contracts and etc. and makes it nearly impossible for the studios like BIoware to release a small patches to fix stuff.

OK.
I might have exagerated a little bit Posted Image

BUT, as a natural born completionnist, it really pisses me off to go back in bronze to do waves with the guy just because my controls are in a complete mess.

I have to say that the fanboyism you expressed in previous posts was touching... Negating the existence of PC users with customized controls just to justify the absence of a corrective patch. Really nice move.

I'll agree, for what its worth, that this sucks. But I'm a realist and know that eventually support winds down for all games. This is by no means a gamebreaking bug.

I still reckon the PS3 freezing is a hardware issue and not something BW can do something about.
