Citadel Ending

And as for my thoughts on this DLC... let me just say that I like it. I really enjoyed it. The whole conspiracy plot, eh, that was okay. I really can't complain about it. I bought the Leviathan and absolutely hated it. It further trivialized the Reapers, which was my main complaint about the endings of Mass Effect 3. I didn't purchase Omega, it didn't interest me in the slightest. This Citadel DLC though, I thoroughly enjoyed. It is what I wanted all along: more time with my friends I'd met while saving the galaxy in the first two games. I tried as hard as I could to not think about the ending, to not keep reminding myself how all of it would ultimately wrap up, and to just enjoy the final reunion with my friends, and I think this is why it worked. I didn't care if it didn't make 100% sense to be throwing a party during the Reaper invasion, again, I just wanted to enjoy one last event with my friends. And I did, I really did.
Does it make me feel at all better about the endings? No, I still don't like them, one year later and I'm still bitter. I fully expected my Shepard to die at the end of the trilogy, that part never bothered me. I won't get into the lict of things about the endings I didn't like, but I'll just say again that chief among them was the way in which the endings completely trivialized the Reapers.
There was one moment in the DLC where I did feel sad that my Shepard was doomed to die at the end of the game. When Shepard tells Miranda "I love watching you wake up" and she responds with "Let's make that a habit." That was sad. :( As much as my Shepard cares about Miranda, he isn't selfish. My Shepard has to choose the Control ending because he is NOT going to sacrifice the Geth, EDI, etc. in favor of possibly surviving the destruction of the Reapers and going on to live happily, and Synthesis is just completely out of the question for me. <_<
But anyways... I am very happy with this DLC. Completely worth the money in my opinion. Probably the most memorable DLC experience I've had with this trilogy, and that should really mean something coming from someone that fully thought they would never enjoy playing any singleplayer content within this game again.
