BW does take feedback into consideration, but this is just batsh*t crazy. A negative damage reduction (take more damage) over the duration when the point of the power is self repairing the unit? that doesn't make a shred of sense. BW made this character to be good and survivable on par with the TGI any significant nerf to repair matrix would run contradictory to the point of her existence.

I do have a question for RedJohn - in your other thread i remember you saying that you could stand on an ammo box on platinum and just kill everything without moving. Thats quite a damning testimony. But i do find that very hard to believe. The enemy DPS incident on you is far higher than the sheild restoration rate, and you would get sync killed. Is there a youtube video of you backing up that claim?

What I said was:

What I said was.....
"So basically if you are not getting killed you can activate one and just camp next to the ammo box and as soon as the effect finishes you just press 3 again and the amount of iWins won't decrease."

http://social.biowar...4004/1#16084004

I was making reference to the fact that the duration of repair matrix last the same amount of time that it takes to an ammo box to refill granades, so basically you don't have to be out of the effects of repair matrix, which means you don't have to worry about anything, except sync kill of course.

If she didn't have the auto revive she'd be fine. Since they can't balance that out they'll reduce the duration and damage reduction. After this balance I hope they make a clear definitive statement that they won't touch her again. I'm so ready for the AIU debate to be over.

it depends how you see it, from my point of view I see it as a good risk-reward relation.

You will be instant revived, but the price for that is take more damage for a short period of time.

For me sounds good.

Make RM a non-grenade power so the player is limited to having more than they really need?

Don't know how you nerf something that can come back from the dead unless you do something like RedJohn was saying about taking more damage when RM is active.

I would rather face the ocean of stunlock from the mighty geth than bother with how much butthurt is flowing from one damn kit

Really, even if they Krysae Repair Matrix she'll still be a pretty damn good character.

I agree with some of the nerfs, especially the nerf of the repair matrix. I also think that the speed of her heavy melee will be reduced. As of right now, it is the fastest heavy melee in the game, and with enough damage buffs, is as powerful as a Krogan. Too fast, too much damage.

I'd rather face magnet hands tbh. (No I don't really).

but this does make for some humorous forum comedy.

The Collector Adept gets increased damage taken while having more power damage and lower cooldowns.

With that nerf, the sexbot would get increased damage taken in order to have movement speed bonuses and free revives.

How is that crazy ?

It is against the whole meaning of the Repair Matrix. This power should make AIU more viable, not weaken it.

The instant revive plus the speedbonus is not viable enough?

Because if not I would like to know what is.

Duration nerf only would be acceptable. 5 seconds base duration.

For some (I think even for the most) people it is not.

Nerfing DR is fine, adding negative DR, on the other hand, would just ruin the meaning of the power.

The main attraction of the power is revive you..

Think about it... repair matrix. If "repairing" means taking more damage, then it's not a repair, is it?

I highly doubt if they'll make it a negative damage reduction.

I'm not even entirely sure if it can be done in this case.

Dont see the point of taking more damage as soon as you revive, that is ****ing stupid. You will just get taken down again instantlly!! Better to just remove it. Or dont spec into it if thats the case. So another class that will only have 2 worthwhile powers....yay!

No one has noticed that RedTroll made a thread saying "predict the nerf" but its actually a thread about "here is what i want the nerf to look like" ?

@megawug. Jokes on you, "repair" matrix is actually an intricate system... see, how it works is that it shoots elmer's glue all over her body, putting back together the broken bits. Unfortunately, elmer's glue has an adverse effect.

The goo is super sticky, so it slows her down cuz her thighs rub the goo together, so she needs to take a negative speed reduction in order to showcase how bad that goo is. She also needs a reduction in her visual, as the goo will be all over her eyes/visor as well.

Also, as you all know, elmer's glue is extremely susceptible to fire and space magic, so while its gluing the bot, it makes her even more susceptible to damage.

Why don't you actually read the warning label on Elmer's Glue before you make these ridiculous posts megawug.... jeez

Thats what i'm thinking about most of the suggestions in this thread, like getting rid of the revive mechanic. Any drastic changes to how the ability works I imagine would require a patch and Bioware recently stated that they don't plan to do any more.
