Okay, this is similar to a key-mapping issue PC players have. Has anybody brought this up yet?

So, in most FPSs, the PS3 controller has the shoulder buttons set for aiming and firing. Its trigger buttons are usually grenades/crouching/other powers. Obviously, on the 360, it's the other way around.

My problem is that every time I play the Talon, I have to manually go in the start menu and "adjust" the settings. I put "adjust" in quotation marks because, for some reason, EVEN THOUGH my controller settings are already Default Swapped in the menu, it plays as Default Unswapped!

This is annoying and quite dangerous, as I always take the time before the first wave starts to climb a ladder in order to make my missile launcher invisible, or set up things like the Biotic Sphere, Supply Pylon, Recon Mine, and, in the case of the Talon, Cain Trip Mines. Adding that I have to change these settings every time at the start of the match, there have been times that enemies have spawned near me, forcing me to waste a medi-gel!

I remember someone saying that Bioware cnanot create PC-exclusive patches. Well, I don't think this problem is exclusive to PC, even though the problem is magnified on their version (inability to use Thermal Clip Packs, etc.). Either way, similar issues are occurring with swapped button configurations....

It's quite sad that Bioware most likely isn't making a new/final patch for the Talon. This doesn't come close to ruining the multiplayer, but it is frustrating for some.
