Under the options menu, disable the "Persistent Gore" option.

Correct. That is all that you can do. Basically, you stab people, they are going to bleed.

yes, there should be a way to replace all the blood... change it's color or change it's texture to transparent so you can't see it. As to 'how to do it' exactly, I don't know. but changes like that 'should' be able to be modified in game if what I've read is right.



The easiest way will be to have some one make the 'Bloodless Mod' then post it for you to add to your game. Though It would be allot of work to do it right... there are a lot of bloody scenes in the game - and I don't know that a general 'replace blood with transparent texture' will do the trick.

The australian version of the game is supposedly censored, and contains no blood/gore, so I imagine it would be totally doable. They wouldn't release a new version, they'd just tweak a transparency slider somehwere.



how would the australian politicians feel knowing that the por users are showered in gore just like we are, but it's just INVISIBLE!?





on a side note, yeah... there is WAY too much blood. After killing ten rats in the larder (like, very first quest) I was covered in blood. There isn't that much blood in a rat that it would shoot all over my face if I stabbed it with a sword. I'd have to cut it's stomach, and then wring it out over my face while rolling on the floor to achieve the result I got.



It doesn't add to the realism, it just feels silly.

I dunno. Kill ten rats with a sowrd and you might wind up looking like you have been cleaning fish.

Those rats were HUGE though. It wasn't like they were normal rats. I'd say they were almost on The Princess Bride "Rodents of Unusual Size" side of largeness!

All I can say is people in the Dragon Age universe have incredibly high blood pressure. One cut and you can spray blood at a target 25 feet away. Not only that but by the time the flow stops, the body must be completely exsanguinated.

I would like to make the pool of blood under the dead bodies stay longer and keep bodies from dissapearing. does anyone know if its possible to mod this?
