On the CItadel, I know you can meet up with Jacob, Samara, and Grunt. But how do I find/trigger these meeting events? I'm not getting any new messages on my Apartment console, and have scoured the map for any useable stuff. But I can't find them. What do I have to do to get these events to happen?

Try going back to the Normandy. It may appear as soon as you board it.

I figured out for jack you may have to try the combat sim first to get a message from her.

If they aren't available for invite/meet-up immediately, then just do a few activities. I recommend the combat arena.

The messages will come in gradually.

Have you met with any of the other characters yet? I was having the same problem, but when I did Cortez' and Javiks meet-ups and went back to the apartment and bam! two new messages.

Apparently going back to Normandy or completing a mission will trigger more character appearances, according to a tweet from Patrick Weekes. I can't link to it, I suck at the internet. He tweeted it March 6 5:15 pm (ET) ish...

I had this problem, and so am testing if doing some missions works right now. Will post something if I find out.

You sure you met them in the main game? Some characters like Jack, Jacob and Samara you meet out in the galaxy and then have to talk to again on the Citadel to get them in the DLC.

Its all a little messed up. I got Jack, my fiance didn't. She got Cortez, I didn't.

Does Joker have an invite?

Having the same problem, I think. I'm getting messages from my crew and love interest, but I can't find them anywhere nor can I summon anyone to my apartment. How do you do that? There really isn't anything I can do since I'm at the point just before Cronos station. And no, the combat sim isn't an option, it's nearly as worthless as Pinnacle Station was.

I believe I've done every character except the ones I mentioned in my original post.

If you click the squad icon on your private terminal in your apartment, that allows you to invite people.

@Xtal84 Missions aren't an option. I'm at the part just before Chronos Station. I can't do any more missions.

Just tried the going-back-to-the-Normandy thing, didn't work. Am I seriously going to have to look up the remaining characters on Youtube?

From what I understand, if you go out to meet some teammates in the shop area, you can go back to your apartment to find new messages.

The way I did it when I played through was to check messages, invite everyone to the apartment I could, and then go out to meet people where they wanted to meet. Went back to my apartment and had new messages. I'm not fully done, but it's worked so far.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I would never have noticed that myself, I just automatixally ignored that button since it looks the same as the squad customization button on the private terminal in Normandy. They should really have made that somehow much more evident.

I still can't find Grunt/Samara/Jacob. If anyone has information on THESE SPECIFIC CHARACTERS I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh, and I'm missing Traynor as well. This is indescribeably frustrating.

You need to walk around a bit after the party. You can also go to the Normandy - it will trigger messages.

Jacob will be in front of the Arcade, you can get Grunt by talking to the officer in the middle of the Strip and for Samara - you need to go back to the apartment and invite her.

@StonedMagician99 - if you don't have missions to do other than Cerberus HQ I'm not sure what you could do. Returning to Normandy and back to Citadel didn't unlock anything for me, but doing the Geth/Quarian quest line opened a few (Grunt, Jacob, and Ash's Presidium Commons meet-up).

I want to say this is a bug, but it actually seems designed this way, which is unfortunate. As long as you've "unlocked" the ME2 characters through their missions (Gellix, Grissom, etc.) you should be able to visit them in one fell swoop on the Silversun Strip...just makes sense in the context of "role playing" that your shore leave happen all at once.

I have tried three different saves to see how many people I could meet up with. In looking at the trailer for the DLC, I believe the end photo showed 19 people total including Shepard; assuming the trailer shows everyone you can invite. The most I have seen is 15, but not all of them showed up at the party or in the photo, they were just present in the mission. For example, Tali was in the DLC up until the party, so I must have missed talking to her somewhere along the way. Same with Javik, but on a separate play through. I am getting frustrated as I would like to get them all there, but I would really like to see Miranda and Kasumi. Although not interactive, I enjoyed Kasumi's narratives in ME2. She always knew what I was up to with the other crew. I might have to take a break and come back to this, I've already devoted way too much time to this game :). I don't mind trying again, I just don't want to play through the whole game again to get everyone there. Good luck everyone.

Don't know if it will be any help to anyone but I made sure I had the personal meetings with everyone before sending out the party invites. I seemed to get the emails from people asking to meet me in three separate waves. I invited the first batch and also went out into the strip to meet others, also indulged in one session at the combat sim. On returning to apartment there was a fresh set of emails. Met up with the people in those and then got a final batch. With some people I got more than one encounter. James and Steve met up with me separately and also had a session watching a match with them together. With Jack (who was my romance), she invited me to meet her at the combat sim - we met up on the upper level and then took part in a special match that she had arranged. Then I got a second opportunity to invite her back to see me at the apartment.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who had been part of my team over the course of the 3 games was accounted for - I never bothered with the DLC for the 2 extra characters in ME2 and have yet to play through the save game with Javik. I had encounters with:
Garrus, Ashley, Tali, Liara, Wrex, Grunt, Miranda, Jacob, James, Steve, Jack, Samara, Joker, EDI, plus Kolyat.
I was also able to invite Trannor to the party. All the above attended (with the exception of Kolyat), so that makes a total of 15 at the party and in the photo (Shepard would make 16). So with the 3 extra DLC characters that would make 19.

I also got messages recorded prior to death from Thane and Mordin.

No Javik? The encounter with Javik and the <spoiler> movie recording of "Blasto 7" was hilariously fun. A must see! :-)

Yeah, it seems to be different for everyone. I got a handful of characters and was surprised that there were a lot more scenes I never got when I looked on Youtube. I got to hang with Kaidan, Javik, Liara, Samantha, EDI, and got the memorial service for Thane. The Kaidan (romanced), Javik, and Liara scenes were all amazing. Samantha's was stupid though.

I simply wasn't spending enough time on the strip to allow for the various characters to email me. I figured this out last night and managed to get a group photo with 17, including Shepard. I am at it yet again trying to real in the last two, Tali and Kasumi, assuming 19 is the magic number. I did have Tali on a separate play through, but that was before I took my time to enjoy the shore leave. I won't stop playing this dlc until I see all that can be seen, and even then I'm sure I'll miss something. I'd be ok excluding Zaaeed from the party; I never could quite understand what he contributed to the game. Javik too, but as mentioned above, his encounter is funny.

You might be better Youtubing. You're going to have to go through a HELL of a lot of playthroughs to see every little piece of content that could be seen. Way too many variations depending on who you romanced, how you decide to do the party, who you decide to invite, what party members you take with you, what point in the game you do the DLC, etc. Bioware really took their time cramming as much content as they could into this one, I really have to give them credit. I can't imagine how exhausted the voice actors must have been after recording for this DLC.

Zaeed may not add a lot to the game, but his content in Citadel and particularly the party is hilarious.
