I would like a battered ship with an old nostalgic rustic cowboy feel to it.
I would like my crew to be a bunch of renegades on the run from the Alliance.

I would like Joss Wedon to write the script.

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me.

Leave the men where they lay
They'll never see another day
Lost my soul, lost my dream
You can't take the sky from me.

I feel the black reaching out
I hear its song without a doubt
I still hear and I still see
That you can't take the sky from me.

Lost my love, lost my land
Lost the last place I could stand
There's no place I can be
Since I've found Serenity

And you can't take the sky from me.

If the Ship is similiar to a Firefly class ship, I would be really excited!:wizard:

I did like to purchase and have different models and ships, I did love to control and fly them in free roaming as well. I hope they return real vehicles, they really should.

It would be cool to be the CO of a cruiser. It would be cool to manage a whole crew and have the functionality of a large warship.

I have to say, the idea of having a huge ship floating around in space, and it's all mine, is one happy thought. But I also agree when people say ''small ships and huge hubs''.
If we could have them both, and another, smaller ship purely for exploration, that would be great.

However, that's completely out of the question.
So I'll go with the second one. Huge hubs, small ships.

just because you're not military doesn't mean you have no ship.

I'd rather have a ship the size of the SR-1. Size isn't everything when it comes to spaceships.

Very true. Ultimately, its size should be relevant to the story bing
told.  It's bad design to give someone a bigass ship when all they're
doing is something menial.  In story, characters and props need to fit
purpose and function. Needless material gets dropped. That is proper
editing. ...it's not always easy... but it's appropriate.

Do to say "I want this or that" is futile if you don't know premise or direction.

It's
great to let BW know what we think is cool; they've said they read and
like it.  I'm just mentioning that there are certain mechanics
associated with production that govern content. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

I'm thinking the next story will "have to be" quasi "Epic" to follow in the shoes of Shepard's story.  Personally,  I'd like to experiance a character's growth through something like the Skillian Blitz where you're introduced to yourself (the main character) and you walk through various events that lead into something much MUCH larger.

Take Vega's story post-Reaper. What happens to him? What kinda things does he encounter, how does his life change? Soemthing a bit broader than a paragon/renegade scale.  Not saying, I want Vega in the next game, just using him as an example.

A ship would be cool.  Some familiar weapons and abilities along with new stuff.  :wizard:

Agreed

But everyone around here seems to assume he will be "commanding" a ship, fleet, etc. or be some war...person.

No

I prefer a small ship like ebon hawk as any thing bigger is pointless. Hell even in 3 Normandy was a warship but was used more like a bus. So give me a small ebon kawk style ship as it will fit the narrative better

I'd say it was a very, very fast and stealth warship that he used like Air Force One.

In fact, AFO is probably the best contemporary analogy for what the Normandy is.

Nah, I wouldn't really want a bigger ship. The Normandy included enough running around in between mission. Rather give me small ship with lot's of activity in it.
Also, I am definitely against a firefly look as suggested above. The alliance SR3 looked "unfinished" enough as it was. Sleek and polished design is what ME visuals are all about. I could work with something that doesn't look that great in the beginning but can be upgraded though.

A big capital ship isn't exactly fit for an action hero. Nobody saw Return of the Jedi and decided they wanted to grow up to be like Admiral Ackbar.

Need a childhood hero, why not Ackbar?

But they did think "I want a Death Star".

Or is that just me?

I prefer a smaller ship, one that isn't filled with faceless crewman, and can be flown and maintained by my squadmates alone. Not unlike the Ebon Hawk.

Explorer ships have captains and they're not military. You can have a ship with a crew and not have it be military.

How about minimal ships like shuttles and fighters, but you got safehouses like Shepards appartment on the citadel, or Garrus hideout on Omega. Rich and crowded hubs, shops, bankers, the abilty to make investments equip the squad, get spareparts, upgrades, loot, maybe raid somd enemy or rival bases or storehouses.
I don't know what we will get but when you start out small its easier to get impressed by your accomplishments than when youre the galaxys top dog from the start.

I'd like a smaller ship, to state my opinion; with a more tight knit and varied crew (species-wise). So I hope the next protagonist will not be part of some primarily human organization, even if it's the wisest course of action for BW to have a human-only protagonist. Normandy was nice, but 90% of the crew was just uninteractive and it felt empty at times.

If the player gets a bigger ship later then it could be something thats salvaged or aquired from the badguys or repurposed to fill a function.
If you get a bigger ship then it would have function to play in the game. Either as a cargo transporter, troop transporter or a ship actively paricipating in major spacebattles for some reason.
Since we dont know that much about the next game it's hard go say.
Maybe it will involve tactical fleet battles, doubt it but that would justify one or several huge ships.
Were told miranda was given/aquired a fighter ship to perform raids on cerberus facilities and assets.

Honestly i would love to see your homebase being something other than a ship. But of course that would make intergalctic travel less likely... dunno. I think 3 games of being in a starship as a hub is enough.

If there was need of a ship than something smaller perhaps. But with the squad mate and NPC movement from ME3 to bring the inner workings of the ship to life. As this was a good thing that was added for that game.

Why a ship? Why not an apartment on a planet Citadel style?
