A home base on a hub and a smaller ship. It makes sense, the character most likely has less money and a lower standing. You get better stuff over time.
A bigger home ship for Mass Effect 4?

I would love to be the main character out with my pirate crew or Merc squad and come upon a system that hasn't been explored and find the Normandy SR-2 floating in orbit around a planet with skeletons of the old crew sitting at their stations. To do a mini mission inside the SR-2 to find out what happened to the crew and then do a salvage mission and get the old girl up and running and find tid bits around the ship to learn of it's past.

There's a balance to be found. Keep the cabins cozy, and the cargo bays spacious.
I like there being things to see on the ship, but I don't it to be so big that it feels like a chore reporting back to everyone on every floor.

Suddenly I wonder why this hasn't been brought up sooner.MEGoWH777 wrote...

As a home ship, the largest we can realistically be allowed would be a frigate, as cruisers would be probably restricted to military roles unless we get a private contractor or salvage a damaged cruiser. Dreadnoughts cannot be allowed, as each species is only allowed so many, and it's hard to imagine yourself as commanding one of Humanity's six dreadnoughts. A frigate, corvette, or a shuttle would make the most sense.

To me, it doesn't matter what kind of ship as long as the environment lets me do all my 'house-keeping' things like messages, weapon/character modding, etc., and is comfortable enough that I can mentally relax somewhat between missions.
eg: The Normandy SR1 was very military looking (albeit a pain to travel around) but the pace of the plot was slow, so it wasn't stressful. The SR2 in ME2 had a comfortable layout that didn't make sense storywise but was great to use. The SR2 in ME3 made sense storywise but was messy/stressful, which along with the hectic plot made the Bryson's and the Silversun Strip apartments very welcome escapes. I don't think ME4 necessarily needs more than one 'home' location as long as it's designed right.

Or a small ship and just huge hubs. And what else would he be if not a soldier, pirate or merc?
A spy...

I don't want the new Shepard to be a criminal (pirate, slaver, smuggler)... And I'd like to see the Normandy again.

It's been said before that you guys shouldn't call the next game ME4 because it's not , and as far as we all know is not even going to happen in Space , why would you even consider that?
