But is there any way to do so in Citadel and Omega? If I'm using Tier X weapons already, I feel less inclined to take Tier IIIs, especially since I usually prefer a caster role that likes to keep it light. Thus, I would not normally use the added weapons until the DLC is over, at which point I don't get much use out of them.
I don't bother playing the ending anymore, I just stop when we reach Horizon. Not an 'augh but the endings' complaint, I've just done it enough times across multiple playthroughs with all my Shep's that they hold nothing new. For this reason, the saves I am doing the DLC with a just before Horizon. So as soon as I am able to upgrade the weapons conventionally, I no longer have any cause to use them.
And then, the procurement chains - buying upgrades to gear bits I missed. Less of a concern perhaps, but the result is similar for the guns - I don't use the guns because others are higher rank, I don't use the mods because others a higher rank. Doubled ammo or +5% bonus to whatevs... feels like a no-brainer to go with high-tier. Again, all these unlockables - and no where to use them...
...EXCEPT PERHAPS that excellent additional of the combat sim in Citadel, that thing's SWEET.
So well, before I get too far off track, what I'm saying is:
Is there any way to upgrade weapons in-DLC? Hidden stations I missed? It's SP, so 'gibbing' would be fine - so does anyone know how? Stuff like that. If I pick up a new weapon, I want to use it without feeling like I may have just nerfed myself for novelty.
