One of the best rides of my life. I will miss it and I can't wait for whats to come from BW and the ME universe.
This guy may have chosen the gooey green moldy slime when I chose the red cool aid, but I cannot agreeth with him more.
Can't. Wait. Bring it on, Bioware.

And yes, it was the best.
Fare thee well, Mass Effect. As I said in another thread:
Goodnight, Sweet Prince. And flights of Angels sing thee to they rest.
*sigh*

It's game. Just play it again. I've decided to go back through as a Sentinel all the way through cuz I never did that - only did Sentinel in ME3 because I could still use an AR. Sentinel in ME1 should be....interesting. And difficult, very difficult.Makrys wrote...

You could say the same about a series of movies, or a television series.
"It's just a movie, no need to get worked up."
"It's just a TV show, why are you getting teary eyed, just watch it again."
But you'd get the same response from those who have become invested in the characters, the universe,
"It won't be the same,"
Because you'll never experience the same excitement, thrill, sadness, happiness, as you did the first time around.
You won't ever hear those characters voices again, you'll never see those locales again. Not in the same light, that same excitement to see what happens next. Playing the games through again will be fun, of course, but it'll never compare to the first time.
It has been quite the ride, and for someone who's been on it since the beginning, I can say that it could never be replicated.

We won't since there won't be new content. All that's left is the replaying of old memories.Legion of 1337 wrote...

That nailed it. I WILL play it again, and again after that, but it won't be the same. You know what they're going to say, do, and how and when it will end.

Exactly, nothing can ever make it feel like that original ride.
I'll play again, but instead of creating new, and exciting memories, it'll make my heart ache with nostalgia.

I have never been so attached to a video game and probably never will be again. This has been a wonderful journey and great game series, full of good things, strong emotions and endless corny space opera goodness. I shall miss this series beyond words and won't know what to do with myself until we can something else epic going. Very long journey from the first time my Shep was rushing through a ship to a cockpit with a crippled pilot to the end of the war and almost certain death, yet again for the intrepid Commander. Yeah, very depressed.
From just another "routine mission," to the end of the Earth.
I wonder if there will ever be another series that I become this invested in.
Hopefully there will be, I'm praying that the next-gen will have a series as amazing as Mass Effect was.
I, too, wonder what I'll do with myself. I'm getting Tomb Raider on Saturday, but ever since Mass Effect 3 not a single game has really satisfied me.
Strange thing is... I didn't feel at all like this a year ago. Last year around this time, I sighed as the game finished, I was sad, a little disappointed. But now?
There's no more ending to rage against, no more DLC to anticipate, just... Nothing, but I don't feel mad. I feel like this is what Mass Effect 3 deserved from the beginning. A proper end.

Yes, well put. Not gonna lie, no game out there is appealing to me at the moment. Mass Effect I shall just have to play through it again and try something new, maybe biotics this time.

Nothing except for Borderlands 2 has really torn me away from Mass Effect 3 in the past twelve months.
Never played with Biotics? They're a joy, nothing like watching a Cerberus Trooper slowly float over a balcony to his demise
Have fun!
