alzo obisididan are not wery good in story department tbh. were is the exitement? motb u were searching for some old curse lol i didnt even finish that game cuz it was so boooooring bioware knows how to write masterful adn exiting plots imho. u can see why obsidian picks up biowores scraps lol.

kaelyn the dove was a ripoff from aerie btw.

Come on, Kaelyn is nothing at all like Aerie, nothing... not remotely the same, in personality, in race and also class structure (one a cleric the other a mage/cleric).  Also BlackIsle (where Obsidian comes from) where heavily involved in both BG 1 and 2. A rip off you say, mawahahahaha, go play them again.

Come on people, I know it's hard to get sarcasm or irony across on forums, but you should still get it when it practically stabs you in the face.

To answer the question, since Sarevok and Jon Irenicus are probably the best villains in any western RPG so far, I'd vote for Bioware (not that my, or anyone else's, vote matters, since Bioware hasn't spent years building this setting only to give to someone else). I do agree that the Archdemon and the whole post-Landsmeet was a bit disappointing, but there is no other studio that does better villains anyway. Especially not Bethesda. Come on, an evil god, a demon prince and an A.I. (reused from FO2, too) , all of whom without any real personnality: just how cliché can you get?

What? WHAT?
I'm sorry but you should have read the text in fallout 1 before saying that. The master did not want to simply kill humans. he believed that the mutants were the best bet for humanity. He meant the mutants to be the only race, since they were the only strong ones. Thus, the UNITY. Thus, he said JOIN or die. And you could convince him that his decision wasn't what he thought it was and make him destroy the place.

Any similarities? Eden is Master's rip-off, it's not something new. And outside of that, fallout 3 was mostly good vs evil. Bandits were totally evil. BoS was totally good. The real BoS was just a little faction of insignificance.

The other villain in fallout 3 was the officer, who had no depth at all, presumed dead in the worst scene in PC games ever then actually died in another crappy scene.

I'm sorry but fallout 3 sucked in that sense.
The Pitt DLC however, was a very good example of gray-area decisions and how "good" can be "evil" and vice versa. I salute Bethesda for that.

I know good enough writing to know that fallout 3 had complex nuances and thrilling environmental discoveries on par with cormac mcarthy's best work the road. I mean, dragon age was just you go here you talk to this guy you do this quest, while fallout 3 was so much more. You had an apartment for chrissakes. You don't need pointless followers who give you useless information about rocks and tumors or whatever. Liam neeson was also not underused at all, and a better celeberty than that guy from crossing jordan. Obsidian would make the best villian because it would crash your game lololol and make you not play.

wtf...! president eden had the flying radio saying propaganda all ove the wasterland which was just way more COOLER than mayster. also eden was way more detailed adn with proper motivation unlike THE MAYSTER
who was jus like "hey lets kill ppl make them mutants". since you can
even convince him this viewpoint is WRONG it means he had nothing in
terms ov motivation LOL.this is obvious fact.

Sarevoks motivation for what he was doing was literally "I AM EVIL BLARGH I HAVE NO NUANCES", backed up by the flimsy lore of the Forgotten Realms. If that beats Kreia, Shodan or The Transcendent one I'll be damned. I'll give you that Jon Irenicus is one of the better characters Bioware has created, but he is nowhere near the league of Kreia.

I prefer my villains to be disgustingly evil.

I want to go "You bastard!" at them, not "Awww! He's not so evil after all!"

I prefer better when the line between evil and good is purely conventional and it's difficult to make the distinction between the moral judgments of the hero's actions and the villain actions. The typical "pure" hero, paladin of goodness, is too predictable and boring, it's how society has been behaving since.. well, since formalized religion.
The "Awww! He's not so evil after all!" replace it for a "Oh shi- how I'm judging him if now I see I'm not so different from him"

It does seem to come down to personal preference. I said something similiar a few pages back, but for me it is how it is done not what it is. Just my two waffles.

Indeed. Kreia is probably the most three-dimensional Sith Lord in Star Wars history. She has way more depth than any of the Sith Lords in the movies (as Anakin was pitifully one-dimensional and predictable, even before he became a Sith Lord... he was just an annoying brat), and Malak is practically boring in comparison. The only ones I can think of that may be as fleshed-out as Kreia are a few from the novels (Bane perhaps, or Caedus, but even still they were pretty much straight up evil for the most part). Kreia had nuance, which is not all that common in these kinds of genres.
