i just left camp and came accross a couple who take a male baby from a meteor crater it started like an ambush then just ended wth ?

Superman easter egg. You can get the meteor ore from there to be crafted into a weapon I think.

Yep, you can get some meteor ore and forge a sword if you have the Warden's Keep DLC.

I think the sequence is mainly to give you the item to get the weapon. The bit about the baby and farm couple is just a fun Superman reference that we us and Bioware can sit back and laugh at. Love these guys.
