So is the Citadel DLC where your playthroughs stop or are you going back to finish the game?

I do still get the urge to beat the stuffing out of the space ninja from time... I'm not sure I can give that up.

you better watch out, them's are fightin' words. And Kai Lame be eatin' his wheaties so you better prepare bud.

He is nothing without his breakfast treats.
In fact, I encourage him to be at his best! Nothing like nova'ing that arrogant bast*** on insanity.

Watch out. The plot armor might get you. Then he'll be eatin your wheaties.

Omni-Blade.
The plot armour is My sheild in this case.
And I only eat bacon.

With eggs right?

I have to at least finish an Insanity run ( never got past the missile section on Earth lol) and maybe unlock all the achievements.

But yeah, after that, this DLC is probably where I will end it... or maybe after Cerberus HQ.
To be honest, not sure how many times I can even do that before I just remove it from my computer.

Sadly I just dont get the same enjoyment out of -any- of the games anymore. I am a completionist so if I play ME1 and 2 I want to finish to 3 and I can't bring myself to heh.

Only if they've been scrambled with a serated blade and mixed in tabasco sauce.

Priority Earth is the greatest ending mission in the series. Amazing.

The Citadel makes the ending a bit easier to swallow since your LI basically tells you they're going to find you, and the EC did make a lot of my original issues with the ending go away, but overall it's still a downer compared to the feel-good vibes of this DLC. I'll start the Cronos mission just to get my romance scene, but turn it off before the dream with that damn kid makes everything sad again.

My official Shepard that I started in ME1 in 2007 I stopped permanently after "...the best" scene. He's already seen the ending 3 times and that part just seemed so fitting to put him to rest after 5 1/2 yrs. Goodbye Micheal, its been one h*ll of a ride. "...The best" :crying: (I seriously am getting teary eyed right now, so pathetic)

My other sheps and ones I'll eventually make will go through til the end though cuz Micheal was the only one whose been back when EC released. They're just what if scenarios, Micheal was the True Shepard to me.

Definitely more so than a breathing scene appreciate the post and the King Crimson pic

Will always finish the game, but might always wait until after I'm finished to do Citadel DLC. It's just so perfect as the capper for each playthrough even if it's not chronologically last.

To me, not playing the game after finishing the Citadel dlc is pointless. Your Shepard has spent so much time trying to beat the Reapers, and then gives up right at the last moment? I guess Indoctrination Theory must be true for you, since the Reapers have finally managed to mindf**k you into giving up, and letting the cycle continue.

I'll decide after one (possibly) final play-through with MEHEM - with godchild just letting Shepard win there is simply no sense of achievement in carrying on.

I had already beaten the ending on the character I played it first with, so yes, that is exactly where it stops. It's really easy to see it as an epilogue if you ignore the sparse lines about the war.

I only wish the Citadel DLC was the true ending to Mass Effect 3, but instead of going back into the fray against the Reapers, it's more of everyone parting ways after the war's over. Really like the character development and interactions in this DLC.

I will play to the Citadel DLC and then stop.

BioWare, just so you know: this DLC encapsulates everything I loved about the ME universe, and I was playing for its preservation. I could be woefully wrong, but it seemed to me that you forgot that ere the end.

This DLC delivers what I wanted to the extent that it is a more than adequate substitute for the actual trilogy conclusion. I am aware that its wacky nougaty goodness is not compatible with the more serious story you seemed to be trying to tell in ME3, but you have demonstrated in the past an ability to prove that the nougat and the seriousness do not have to be mutually exclusive, and my sincerest wish was that you demonstrate that ability once again in ME3's ending. Alas, you did not. But this DLC was excellent.

No. The Citadel DLC is what I wanted as an end for my Shepherd, closure with those he cared for.

Characters are what make me love Bioware's game, not the plots.

I was going to go on with the rest of the game after the DLC but I started another ME2 game so I could work my way back to the DLC again. Let's see if I finish the game next time. I probably won't.

Shepard gets the pad because Shepard deserves it. I don't play the DLC until after the ending. If I play it means this:

1) someone found Shepard in the pile of rubble.
2) Shepard spent some time in recovery.
3) the Citadel and relays got repaired
4) The Normandy is back because Shepard is on it.
5) "Go to Apartment" is the only thing in my quest log.

So.... Party Time.

Post-ending DLC. Bye. Now if there was a way of bleeping out mentioning of "the reapers" in the DLC that would be cool.

Another thing that would be really cool is if, Shepard, having already had visions of the ending, could talk the crew into just partying on the Citadel.

Shepard: Let her go. Let her be the hero. I've had enough. What do you say?
Javik: You're just going to let her go?
Shepard: Trust me. It's better this way. I have seen the future.
Liara: You're sure? Let me...... Embrace Eternity. By the Goddess! She's right! I'm ordering kinetic barriers and heavy armored shutters for the apartment, and extra rations.

So you would rather leave the reaper plot unresolved? You know that they will not resolve it in teh future games right?

No After the EC the endings dont particularly bother me, after the party ill head to earth and blow them and the catalyst to hell. You knew Shepard was likely to get killed. And the funny thing is in the high destroy ending, he isnt.

I don't have Citadel (and don't plan on getting it, $15 is too pricey) but if I play ME3 again, not sure when I'd stop.

Maybe before Thessia, since that until the end is kind of weak.
